Textures are really not that hard to make, once you learn how.
Do a Google Image search for the parts you want, and then modify what you find. For example, try adapting this image into a texture: But, if you cannot find anything or adapt what you find successfully, try making your own textures. Some advice if you want to attempt this: - Start by arranging blocks of solid color for which colors the glass should be. Get the overall shape about right. - Add borders and details with color burn and multiply layers. - You can make all of the details with fine lines or a checkerboard pattern scaled to a very small size. Give me a minute, and I'll upload a PSD file of a light texture I made for my Mustang. That should demonstrate what I mean by this. |

Why you don't try with some FM textures. Bora textures e.g. are very identical, but you need to do it 3d for that

Addi, no matter how good your texture is, it really boils down to what the mesh underneath looks like. A flat mesh with a texture on it will always look worse than a see-through lens backed by a chrome underside. That's why the Forza cars' tail-lights all look so realistic - they use the latter approach.
If you want, I can try to whip up a lens texture for you. Then you can make it transparent and create a backing thing that looks like Mario's third pic (this one). |
