I know how to make paint jobs. But I have problems with stripes or any other kind of shape that extends over more then one body panel of the vehicle, because 1: each part can only be edited separatedly, and 2: beacuse they are out of scale (this is a smaller problem). I really don't know how do you people make paintjobs such as this one (nobody has ever made this specific one, but many have made paintjobs in this style):

The stripes run over many body parts, and i know it is possible, but how?... Also, i have some other questions related to paintjobs, but answering the previous questions may answer these to, so I will ask them only if very necessary.

Some cars arent properly UVW mapped(which means the parts arent properly aligned as if it was one of those cardboard/paper cars you make in kindergarten) which obviously doesnt help when you want to make a paintjob(or wont allow it at all in some cases).

If you have a properly UVW mapped car, though, you can obtain the single parts UVW in the way you already know(painting the car with a huge sticker ingame and opening the many single files into ps), then you can just load all of these files into a single one and there you get the complete UVW map where you can create/apply your paintjob livery, then you just have to save and replace that single file in the original folder, load the paintjob ingame and copy-paste the new livery to all the parts(with the copy-paint tool ingame).

Yep, i know about the messed up UVW maps. But, wow, I never thougth about doing that. Thank you! But about the UVW maps, i have only a few mods that have them propperly done. Do you have any specific one to recommend me?
Also, I don't use PS, I use GIMP.

Not sure, i know my mods, Harrison15/RedCarDriver's mods, Jaziba mods and... Franco's too probably? Maybe JoeAlex's as well - ones are well UVW mapped.

JesusChrist's ones are UVW mapped ok but not properly, aka he mapped each part on a square so each of them fills an entire image instead of composing a whole unique image.

Not sure about other's mods, i rarely download any nor play sl at all(other than modding it by my own), thinking about it, also adnan's mods might be properly uvw mapped but idk for sure.

Oh, Remco's s14 too iirc, i made a livery for that a long ass time ago lol

Thanks, i'm going to try some out. Also, do you consider your own mods propperly mapped? I know they are good, but most of my mods came from the "best mods" section on GOM-TEAM (rip), so most of them are old.

Well i know for sure all my mods are Forza-spec mapped, even the shitty arosa and alfa 156(single piece cars) so yeah, i confirm that. :D

Also i just found a post with my custom drift s14 with its cool ass mapping(yes posted by H15/RCD as we were roleplaying together back then)... :))

I have been using your method, but on GIMP, and it worked brilliantly on your golf mk1. Thank you so much! :)
