IT'S ALIVE!!!!!
Tranny is in, motor runs. I had some wiring problems, but it runs. I'm, having problems though, the motor cuts out after about 10 seconds of running. It sounds like its leaning out, I think my carb jetting it off a little bit. I also received my control arms, and picked up the rx3. They are tubular control arms, and they came with solid bushings. They bolted straight on in a few minutes, very easy installation. The RX3 was V$800, it is in very good condition. Color is kawasaki green (like the one in my profile pic) |

I also sold the wheels to a buddy of mine. I went to a junkyard, and to be as light as possible, picked up four drum brakes for V$150. They are super light, but won't have much stopping power, so I might buy a chute.
Tomorrow, I plan on building a wheelie bar out of chromoly, I have some wheels for the bars too |

BACK
Today, I have some VERY great news. I got wheels AND tires, the car will be driving soon. I also built that wheelie bar, I forgot to mention that. This car is turning out very nicely. I had a beat up GT Grant laying around, and that's on. Now, all I need is to get the tires mounted, and do some wiring, tuning, and adjustments before I take the car to the track. There is an event next Saturday, I'm gonna try to take both stangs. If stance isn't going, I'll ask him if he can drive my notch down, but if he is going, I can only take one car. Added 50 minutes later: Das tires are mounted and are on the car, the rims are Centerline auto drags. These are pictures of the engine, and you can kinda see the rims. AWWW SHIIITTTT
Last night I was gone ALL night, at the street races in Rosamond. We have a list down there, and right now, I am number 5! I FINALLY broke top 5, I was stuck at 7 for a long ass time. Last night, it was me and a buddy of mine with a C10 pickup. His car broke when he left, so I pretty much got given that spot. After I had to race a late model GTO, and beat him by about half a car. I think that second pass against the GTO as the best one I've ever made, the car did a little wheelie, and just kept going It was a great night, I can't wait to take it to the track on Sunday! |

Well, I have some bad news
After being out with the notch, I took it for a drive, and there is a super weird knocking. I think one of the valves got knocked out of place, and is hitting the piston. If it isn't that, I could be looking at something a lot bigger. If I can't figure it out, I might have to rebuild or buy a new motor. As you know, this motor is used, from a 2007 mustang. So it could just be dying. Not sure, but hopefully I figure it out. |

You're welcome! That Mustang must have a fair amount of power if it can do a wheelie! But as you know the higher the power, the higher the chance of breaking something haha. I hope that it's not a serious issue with your motor, it's from 2007 so i doubt it. You might have to clean the cylinder walls or change the spark plugs.

It's coming from the motor
Added 1 hour 36 minutes later: SUCCESS!! I finally got the turbos lined out on the GT My boost controller kept turning itself all the way down, and I wasn't making barely any power. Turns out one of my wires kept shorting out, it was touching the header. I resoldered the wire, and the car makes huge amounts of power. I'm going to the track tomorrow. I bought VP100 for the notch, and E85 for the GT Added 1 minute later: I wish stance didn't restart We could've raced This post was edited by DFRacing98 (2018-07-22 00:24, ago) |

Okay, so today I am stocking the shop
I've given myself a two thousand dollar budget So first, I am going to order a set of Work T7's, There is a 1600 gone. Then, I will be selling 18x10 tires, that will fit the Work wheels. That is another 400. Added 4 minutes later: The wheels are Matte Graphite Added 44 minutes later: So I am just leaving the track right now. I've decided that in order to keep the shop running, and have spare money for the GT and the RX-3, I'm going to sell my notch. It was fun, but I really have no more plans. I'm going to list the car hen I get home. If you would like to buy it, it is a great bracket car, or great project car if you would like to go faster. Don't worry, I'm not dead yet
So basically, I've just been gone (oorp) But I have some new stuff for the RX-3 I bought new control arms, struts, and a Calvert racing 4 way racing suspension kit, with Calvert shocks, Calvert leaf springs, and Caltrac bars. The kit was V$2,000, and the tubular struts and control arms were V$1,200. I also bought brakes, they are aerospace components, 1 piston drag brakes. For V$2,500, I bought four of them I am going to buy gold weld magnums, and put slicks on them. Then, I will build a racing rotary Added 7 minutes later: This post was edited by DFRacing98 (2018-08-03 19:53, ago) |

So, everything is installed. Sorry if I have been gone for a really long time, I just needed a break. I also would like to buy a lift kit for my truck, and buy a trailer. I might do that tomorrow, if possible
Added 52 seconds later: I also went street racing with the foxbody, I am number 9 on the list right now I know for a fact I can go to number one, so I will keep updating about that Added 20 minutes later: I also missed my pay on monday Added 18 minutes later: Okay, so I did a little bit of looking, and I found this *LINK* It is a 6 inch lift, and then I will add wider rims, and bigger tires As for a trailer, this one looks good *LINK* it is 21 feet The kit is 1000, 1075 with shipping The trailer is 4500, I'll try to get it for 4000, but he said 4500 firm As for wheels and tires for the truck, I found some nice black rims that are will fit the truck nicely *LINK* For tires, I have selected thes *LINK* For 4, will be about 900 with shipping. So, I'm gonna order those things now, hopefully I will have them Monday or Tuesday This post was edited by DFRacing98 (2018-08-11 08:26, ago) |

Okay, all the parts are here early
they were all in stock at the Las Vegas superstore, despite what Summit's website said So, I have begun tearing the stock wheels off, and I will sell those at my junk yard, along with all the other old parts I also went and picked up the trailer yesterday It is very nice, and will fit both of my cars perfectly The RX-3's parts are all fitted, I will have some pictures in a couple hours For now, I have a picture of the truck, just some progress |

Yea, I didn't have any time to get some pictures, I've been super caught up with hs starting up again
The truck is a 93' gmc sierra, sadly, the motor is on it's last leg, at 300,000k miles plus, I thought about a supercharger to help it tow my trailer i bit better, but they are ridiculously expensive |

Yea, I was thinking about buying a 5.3, but that is my daily driver, so an engine swap wouldn't really allow me to get to the shop and back everyday, especially because it is in torrance, about an hour and half from my house
Added 2 minutes later: But it has an LQ9 6.0, which is a better truck motor than the 5.3 |

Hey Guys! I'm back, sorry I've been gone for so long. Today, I went to the track with my foxbody, I also had it painted last week, it is all black now. I've been gone for a little while, school started irl, and it's been hard to keep up. As the list goes, I moved up to number 7! My truck is looking very good, and the rx3 is ready for a motor.
Added 1 hour 44 minutes later: For some reason, my enb would not work on the picture of the rx3 Added 27 minutes later: Like I was saying, I went to the track (I hope you like the timeslip I made) Went Very fast, I'm super confident, and ready to go to number one on the list! Added 6 minutes later: also, the paint job was 1200, I did it in my garage This post was edited by DFRacing98 (2018-09-02 04:49, ago) |

okay, I've decided not too, based on one thing. If I want to make significantly more power, I will need to spend a lot on a procharger or way bigger turbos. I will end up with less than 10,000 in my account, and to me, that is not what I need to be focusing on. So, instead, I'm going to buy a block, rotors, and rotor housings.
*LINK* *LINK* *LINK* *LINK* *LINK* Added 1 minute later: The rotors have apex seals and bearings already. Added 2 minutes later: |
