Hey! My name is Dom, and I'm a student in Palmdale, CA. I have been saving my money since the age of 14, and have brought myself to V$20000.
I began searching around junkyards and used car lots, and I found a FoxBody Mustang. No pictures yet, but I will contact the seller for a few later, or I will wait to get it home if I buy it. He wants V$1500 or best offer, and I am trying to work him down to V$1200. The car is an incomplete roller. It is missing 3 wheels, 1 brake rotor, a front quarterpanel, the front bumper, one taillight missing, and the entire floorpan is also gone.
As of now, I am pretty close to closing the deal and V$1200, but I'll have to see.

Added 59 seconds later:

Also the entire interior is gone. No seats (missing floorpan)and no steering wheel

Okay, the seller sent me some pictures (sorry if they are super bad quality, my TGA pictures are empty, so they cannot be converted, I had to use win+prt-sc)

Added 17 minutes later:

If everything goes according to plan, I'll pay the guy tomorrow, and tow it back with my buddy's trailer and pick up. I think I am going to gut the car, and get it fabricated by a professional. I will have them make new front bumper mounts, fix ANY holes, and fabricate a new floor pan. Should not cost me more than V$4,500, but I am not completely sure. In 1-2 weeks, I should have the car back in my garage. I have a makeshift paint booth, with primer, sand paper, and the color I want.

Mane , that stang isn't worth to spend 5000 or 6000V$ in it.
For that money or more you can buy an 05 mustang v8 or an V6 and swap the gearbox

I searched "ford mustang" in Craigslist , and i found some gems more interesting for your money

I don't plan to put more than 4000 grand in it, or at least in the near times. I'm going to buy one more car, while I am building the fox.
That twin turbo notch back you have right there is bad ass. It needs some work, but nothing that I can't handle. The whole motor set up is 6798, but the car is seven grand. ??? I might just buy the car and swap it over as a donor car. Or just take the whole car. Hmmmm...
Well I have to go pickup the new fox, it is about 20 minutes away.
Also, could your shop re-fabricate my fox that I am buying?? Your shop says you do fabrication. If so, I'll talk to you when I when I have the car %100 gutted.
Cheers!

Added 8 minutes later:

I might go pickup that tt notch fox tomorrow. It is super nice, and I doubt it will last much longer. 7k is super low, but I'm going to try and negotiate the price anyway.
Might try for V$5,000, but I doubt I will be able to get it below V$6,000

Ok , I can repair that car
Needs :
- Floor work
- Body work
- Engine (idk if the car got an engine)
- Suspension work (control arms , coils , etc)
- Brakes
- Interior work

Is almost a new car , you will pay more than expected , i don't recommend you repair that car to stock form , If u want to make this car a track car/restomod/drag car , Then the car is good for that , because we can fabricate the floor ahd some pieces more easily , because the car doesn't got that parts
But if u want to repair it to stock form , Isn't worth

Added 2 minutes later:

And that notch is beautyful , Maybe i will go to buy the Ls one , idk , i have too much projects

I just want fabrication
Holes patched and new floor pan. I'll give you the engine bay separately so you can make bumper mounts

Yeah I'm prob gonna pick up the tt notch tomorrow. That LS one is sick too. If I were you, I would pick up that LS one, I rarely see LS mustangs for sale (at least that cheap)
Also, the fox will be a drag car, I'm just gonna take it real slow. I wanna turn it into a 8 second car, maybe even less. Right now, I'm gonna spend 4 grand on new panels, and the fabrication.
How much do you want for the floor panel, bumper mounts, and the holes? Where in the U.S is your shop? I'll have the car stripped tomorrow (the suspension was sold already, the ad said it was still there, but someone had already bought it). There is only a hood, windows, one quarter panel, a trunk lid, and doors. Everything else is gone. Should take me all night, but It'll be done tomorrow. I'm in LA county.
(BTW are you hiring? School is out so I can work 40 hours a week, and I have a work permit.)

Added 1 minute later:

Yes I will do the rest. I will find panels from partouts, some stuff I will buy fiberglass or carbon fiber (only hood and doors if carbon fiber)

Added 9 minutes later:

Damn it
I'm 17 and I have to be 18
That sucks I only live like an hour away
Could you still hire me? I just graduated from high school, so I am not in school anymore, but I am still 17. I can legally work 40 (max) hours a week

Added 57 seconds later:

Also, I'll drive the car down tomorrow, when do you guys open?

Okay , No problem
You are hired. (i will correct the workshop ad)
The workshop is in torrance ...

It depends, the work depends on the material to use, hours to invest and the rest, so as not to make illusions, the cost will be said at the end
We also spare no expense

Added 32 seconds later:

Also if you work in it, I will not charge you for labor

Awesome!
Thanks for the job, sorry I didn't reply sooner (for RP reasons we'll just say I was gone because I was working on the fox).
I'll work Mon-Fri 8 hours a day. What time does the shop open?
I'll have the car in Torrance right when the shop opens.

Added 19 minutes later:

Okay I emailed the guy with the tt notch, and he said he is going no lower than V$7,000, so I guess 7 grand it is. I'm going to pick it up after work tomorrow, I will still have my buddy's truck and trailer (I am also leaving the other black fox at the shop).
It is Anaheim, to far from Torrance to go on my break.

Added 16 minutes later:

Alright, the fox is almost apart. Also, I changed my mind, I need a tubular engine bay, so I will sell the stock engine bay at my local junkyard

Okay, notch is at my house, I will keep it here until I decide to do something with it. Hopefully Stance will let me keep the black fox at swapper garage in torrance. I go down there everyday, so the car won't be sitting.

I've been gone at the track all day with the notch back, it ran 10.900's. It's pretty good for V$7,000, but it could use some work. Sadly, on my last pass of the day, I was doing my burnout, and one of the used slicks I got with the car got a small hole, and was completely flat by the time I lit up the first stage light. Had to tow it off the track, pretty embarrassing. However, I got some good data, will take it down to swapper and figure it out.
Also I forgot to pay for the notch

Added 4 minutes later:

One more thing
The few panels that were left on the black fox when I bought it were in decent condition, so I sold them

The car is ready , i will make an upload later with the final cost of the floor pan and the frontend

Work done :

- engine bay cut
- Tubular Engine bay fabrication
- New floor pans with tubular structure
- New black paint for avoiding rust

I will make the final cost.

No problem mane , The final price is in about 600V$ for all the materials and work

Later i will make an upload

Added 1 hour 40 minutes later:

Oh, I didn't check here first. (for the price)
You need pics of the car?

Added 26 minutes later:

Anyway, I ordered carbon fiber doors, and a front end. These are real prices from racecraft for foxbody mustangs. The Doors were V$1,500 for a pair, and the front end was V$2,500 and the hood with a 4 inch cowl (I bought a fiberglass hood) was V$550

Added 1 hour 51 minutes later:

I'm heading to the junkyard when the carbon fiber front end comes to pick up a gt trunk lid and a rear bumper

V$800
187k miles
LR4 truck engine
Still runs strong
Excellent condition

I need the truck now for sure, I blew the whole damn motor up on the notchback, that was pretty much my daily. So, I'm gonna get an uber or something down there and buy the truck.

Added 3 minutes later:

Forgot, after I go to get the truck, I am going to a S197 partout, the guy wants 1k OBO for the motor. I'm almost sure he'll go 800, maybe he'll do a trade because I have those super expensive brodix heads. I don't really know yet, but the tt notch will be back soon.

Added 1 hour 15 minutes later:

Also, I'm not going to be at my house for the majority of tomorrow, so I will give myself my weekly pay right now instead of very late tomorrow

I bought that pickup, and the guy took the trade. I have an (almost) coyote, it's from an s197. I kept the turbos, I think the headers will fit, but I might have to make new ones. Towing the notch to the shop tomorrow, and I'll start when I'm done with JL's E30.

I had the coyote on the motor stand, and I ran it on the motor dyno. 400 no turbos, and about 650 with turbos. It will definitely be faster than the windsor, I'm just not sure if it will be faster than Stance's LS3 fox xD

My carbon fiber stuff is supposed to come tomorrow, I paid a shit ton for four day shipping, an extra 300. I'll have everything fitted by the end of wednesday, I have all day because the E30 will be getting painted. I am also going to a few part outs and junkyards, looking for a 1J, E30 parts, and GT hatch parts tomorrow.

I got all the stuff, I had to go to three junkyards. I will most likely get back to building the GT once I am done with the notch and the E30, I am in no hurry to finish it, it is gonna be like a 7 second car, and it will take me a long time.

New motor is in! It is pretty much a coyote, just about 75 less stock hp, with the twin turbos and the powerglide from the last motor. Cannot wait to dyno it and take it to the track, there is a T&T at Fontana this weekend, not sure if I'll make it though.

Added 45 seconds later:

I also got all of the parts for the GT, it is a complete shell now.

Looks good, wiring is done. I fired the car up on my break, and it sounds really good. Revs up quick, I might break the 10's. If I go 9's, I have to do licensing passes for the rest of the day. I am hoping that I do and don't go 9 seconds, but what happens happens. Here is a picture of the car with the motor

I know a guy that does motors (un-assembled), and I'm thinking of picking one up for the black fox. It makes mad amounts of power, he wants V$4,000 usually, but he said he'll give me one for V$3,000. He does coyotes, the motor can make in the 1000's. Then the owner decides what power adder they want. Like I said, he sells to motors in pieces, but I have done lots of work on ford motors, so it should be a piece of cake.

Added 24 minutes later:

The motors also come with a 5000hp rated torque converter, 5000hp rated flywheel, and a built powerglide with a transbrake. I have to buy my own driveshaft (it will most likely be carbon fiber) and rear end. I want to buy a rear end from quick performance, they are not too far from my house, and they sell Ford 9 inches with spools, rated for a TON of power.

I am wasting no time on spending my money
I've decided to order new brodix heads, carbureted intake, with dual 4 barrel carbs, and new rims. 800 for the heads, 800 on the intake and carburetor, and slightly used centerline convo pros, at 600. All of that will be here on Thursday. If I buy a motor for the GT, I can go get it on wednesday. He preps and cleans them, and then sells them. Also going to get that rx3 on Friday.

I ordered one of those engines, forgot to say it. It is ready to be picked up tomorrow, I'll try to drop it in on Thursday. It should be the permanent powerplant for the GT, unless I want to go even faster.

Added 2 minutes later:

I am also picking up trailing arms and struts, controls arms included.

I have the motor together and in, just have to lift the car and put the trans in. I bought this setup: Bored out coyote, big bore low compression pistons, Brodix track 1 heads, Holly Dominator intake, with dual Holly Dominator Methanol Carburetors, built 2 speed power glide automatic with transbrake.
I bought the low compression pistons because I am going to throw either a turbo or blower on there, I dropped the nitrous (that will be for another car ;) )
The guy told me that on motor, the setup I bought makes in the 850's, not sure how much I'll make with a power adder.
