Dear vstanced community, after a year of not registering here I finally made it. So let me introduce myself. They call me "melt" (because when girls see me... they run away haha). I'm born in Austin TX but grew up in Germany (former Army kid). Anyway, I recently turned 22, what else? Well not much to be honest. I got into cars early and got addicted to them.
When I turned 18 I scrapped all my cash and bought an E36 BMW M3.

Ain't she pretty? Hm, she was.

I totally was into racing and track days. Than later, we got into drifting. First just sliding around and seeing up but it got better and better. On the other hand our cars got uglier every time.

Yeah, she changed form the lady to the... freak!

After I got a bit over this country, me and my buddy thought about moving to a more interesting place. I visited the states a couple of time but, to be honest, not my thing living wise.

So we sold our cars, scratched our pocket money, begged our parents, robbed our grandmas and got on the plain to Japan.
We found a place with three other petrol heads in the suburbs of Tokyo.

So now, after a couple of days, I need to get a car. As i could make some money with uber and other delivering stuff.
I got 20grand for the start here.
Not sure what to get now.

thank you for your attention!

Something different you pick the car. S Chassis is popular choice as starter car.
You could grab Honda (Civic, CRX...), other BMW (E36, E46...), Nissan (350Z...) or Toyota (Older Supra, Soarer, AE86...).
For me, you could try buy anything Honda, if you want plan to drift grab bulletproof engine 350Z.

My first car was Nissan 200sx (S13).

Oh here hint, don't break anything traffic laws. I got suspended for 2 months for reckless.

@Dr.Zoom oh man that sucks! But I had to turn in mine a couple of times. So trust me. Could be worse.

@saletl um, I think about a JDM one. Not sure which one yet. Nissan seems to be equal to BMW in Germany.

I don't know the prices but I say the c10 because I think it's a Nissan that almost nobody uses.

NEW CAR

So to be straight honest. This is the second one I bought :). As you can see it is a Civic EG. Wanna know some specs? Here you go!
1995 model, 157,000 km, black, came with work meisters r16, a mom steering wheel and some coilover which I didn't figure which brand they are!

It is registered and insured until September. I ran to it by browsing this goo-net and tried to "learn" some japanese! Nah... I was browsing cars!
And this car dealership is just around the corner form our place. So went there. Went for a drive, went happy, went to the bank, went back. Payed!
Oh yeah I paid. 390,000 Yen which are 3,576.30 V$. A fair deal.

Oh, off course there is a motor! B-series. It need's some love. But it runs!

I didn't pick up the other one as the seller is back by tomorrow. So. More car pix then.

14.129,44 is the new bank status!

Congratulations! Now I'm with a project but I'm looking for a Japanese legend, unfortunately in Argentina that type of car is less than in other countries.

Thx, gentleman. And @radcoon. i also followed the trend of PS13 / RPS13 cars as you can see....

here

the other car!

Honestly, that both are black isn't on purpose. Just turned out those two cars been cheap and black. (Who care basically why I do have two black cars now?)

It is a 1989 Nissan PS13 Silvia. Sadly it has no documents. So registering will be a bit of an issue.

The paint is weathered and a couple of rust spots here and there. Doesn't bother me that much. Get's new paint anyway.

I still try to figure the aftermarket parts on it as it went though some changes. I guess it was used for drifting. As it has a full adjustable suspension and the rear tires are burned out :).
Oh yeah it has a SR20 non turbo motor. With upgraded air intake and oilcooler.

The interior is pretty worn out. The steering wheel seems to be a nardi. But the worst thing is the roll cage. It is a bolt on version. But as it seems to be the model for a 180SX it doesn't sit proper and they trilled holes through the dash to make it fit. So that's gonna be replaced a.s.a.p.

So that is the story for the S13.

Ehm, it turned out uber is not cool with two-door hatches. So I do some food and other stuff deliveries now. Which makes me able to earn some mo.

So later today I'll check the upgarage store to see if I find some bit's for the Civic.

That means...

Maybe a D1SL Car or a Super-D car...

Added 1 minute later:

Simply not true. You can register it's just more paperwork and money compare to a regular shaken. Also if you check the pics you can see the ID plate of the car is still there plus the code plate on the radiator support ;)

And at melt, nice cars!
