Impulsive decision...
○ Hey guys , whats up ?
○ Sorry for not posting yesterday , but I had to go somewhere and do something which I will talk about later in the post. Apart from that , I managed to get myself some cool new taillights for the 180. I think they're dope , here's a pic : ○ I bought these clear taillights plus the clear middle panel thing for about 250V$ from a friend. I've also threw on some stickers I had laying around. I really hope I wont break my taillights this weekend ... ○ Well , thats kinda all for the 180. Lets get to the good stuff... ○ So , yesterday I decided to take a trip to a local junkyard. There were lots of good JDM cars but one caught my attention , and you know me , I'm impulsive AF and I ended up buying it... God damn it , I said that I'm not gonna blow all my money on cars and now I own another money pit... Don't get me wrong , I'm happy that I bought this car but I'm just mad at myself for being so impulsive... ○ Anyway , here is my ... 1992 Mazda RX-7 FD3S ○ Well here she is. Isn't she pretty ? Well , the fitment is kinda gross 'cuz its still sitting on the factory wheels , but besides that , she's in very good condition ! ○ I'm so happy right now !!! I cant tell you how much of a Rotary fanboy I am. I wanted this car since I was a little kid , and here it is ! Its finally mine ! ○ So , she has quite a lot of history , so here's the story of the FD. ○ She was bought back in 1992 , which was the first year of production of the FD , so she's an old girl. Her first owner used it as a daily car for about 6 years when he sold it because her motor blew up. ( probably because of the Apex seals... ) The next owner took a N/A 13B and placed it into this thing and once again , he used it as a daily. After 5 years of daily driving it and 5 years of not moving at all , he decided to sell it because he didn't have enough money to modify it and as it turns out , I am the 3rd owner of this beauty. As you can see , she doesn't have the original front bumper because the previous owner changed it to this one after a little crash that destroyed the original bumper. If you're wondering , this is a C-West front bumper. It looks cool , but sadly the car doesn't have the full kit , it has the front bumper only... ○ She also has about 60000 miles ( 96000 km ) on the odometer. Quite low for a car from '92... ○ So , the weird thing about this RX7 is that it is Lhd , and I'll tell you why. This car was imported from USA from the first owner that the car had , so the second owner brought it back home in Japan and now she's still here. Cool , right ? Here are 2 pics of the interior : ○ OEM as all hell. It still has the factory seats and rugs which I absolutely love ! It also has this amaizing Momo wheel which is in very good condition. This car looks fresh all around ! And she's a manual too ! God I'm glad that its not an automatic , I would've had to change wirind and the trans and that would've been a lot of work and a lot of money... ○ So , lets get to the engine ... ○ There's the NA 13B I've been talking about , and it seems that it also has a Mishimoto radiator ! Thats great ! ○ I dont know what power numbers she's making , but I know a thing for sure. She runs !!! ○ Well , she smokes like a train but at least the doritos inside spin , right ? ○ She also has these weird looking taillights that I never seen before in my life... If any of you know what taillights these are , feel free to tell me ! ○ Alright , so , besides the engine swap , the taillights and the front bumper , everything else is stock , which is amaizing. It kinda sucks that the prices for the '90 japanese cars go up constantly and I would say that I was really lucky to get this thing so cheap. I bought it for 5200V$ which is quite a bargain for an FD , and there's why I bought it. It was cheap , it ran , it didn't miss any important bits and most importantly , it was and it still is my dream car. ○ So , I'm gonnna have to put the RX-7 aside for now because I still have to finish the Supra , and once the Supra is done , we're starting the Dorito Project. ○ So , that is pretty much all for now , I'll be going to Bihoku this weekend with the 180 so stay stoked ! Shit's gonna be LIT AF ! ○ I'll see y'all around ! This post was edited by ErwinFenyvesi23 (2018-06-28 16:16, ago) |

Guess who's back ?
○ Hey guys ! What's up ?
○ So , I'm back from Bihoku and it was so fun ! It was great sliding on a track that I haven't driven on before. The layout wasn't too complicated so it was easy for me to get comfortable within the first hour. Sadly I didn't get any night-time pics because the track got closed quite early in the evening , but I got a whole load of pics of me drifting in the day . Also , yes , I did stay overnight there and once again , I slept in the back seat of the 180. I really need to keep the interior intact on that thing , sleeping in there gets more and more comfortable... Anyway , here they are : ○ Alright , so , I think I have a little problem. Don't hate me for this , but I tapped it again , but this time it was just a tyre. Thank God I didn't damage the fresh new taillights ! Though , I kinda left a mark on the rear bumper. I swear , someday I'll do some kind of reversed entry in the 180 and totally destroy it ... ○ I also got 2 really cool pics where the 180 backfired ! Here they are : ○ I've noticed that the 180 has quite a bit of bodyroll in the corners which isn't ideal. I'll switch to some coilovers in the future , but for now , the car is very well set up , especially the engine. The SR doesn't lack any power , but then again , I should throw on a better radiator and intercooler on it soon... ○ So yeah , thats all for this weekend of Bihoku. I really hope you guys enjoyed the pics ! ○ Lets talk about the other cars , shall we ? ○ Right now I'm waiting for my parts to arrive for the Supra. Everything should arrive in about 9 days , that is if everything comes simultaneously. I cant wait to put this thing toghether and send it to paint... God , she's gonna be so cool when she's finished ! ○ Also , I've been thinking of getting rid of the sunroof of the FD , because I just love the shape of the non-sunroof FD , but that would mean that I would have to chop off another RX-7 top and I really dont wanna do that. My opinion is that the '90 JDM cars should be taken care of and not taken apart and neglected. ( I just realised that I'm practically neglecting and ruining my 180sx , but thats besides the point... ). ○ Here's a random pic of the FD... ○ I don't know if I should say this but , I'm looking for A N O T H E R car . At this point I think I went full dumbass mode , because I already have 4 damn cars but hey , I'm tryina do the work of god right here ! ( aka saving JDM cars ). So , I wont keep this a secret. I'm looking for a Skyline. I didn't decide what generation yet , maybe an R32 or and R33 , though , I would love to score myself an R34 ( that would complete my dream car garage ) but it's kinda expensive and I dont wanna pay too much. The maximum amount of money would be around 6k , but I mean , I'm kinda running low on money and I want to buy another car , which is a recipe for disaster , but c'mon , I need to get myself a Skyline ! ○ I don't know what to do right now... Should I buy another car or should I not buy another car ? I'll take another trip to the junkyard tommorow. Maybe I'll score myself a wrecked or abandoned car... who knows ? ○ So , thats kinda all for now , once again , I really hope you guys liked the pics from Bihoku ( even though my editing is quite crap... ) and I hope that next time I'll be joined by someone else ! I'd love to drift with all of you guys sometime in the future. ○ Anyway , thats all for now and I'll see ya guys around ! |

I suggest you to finish the Supra or RX7 before going for a Skyline. Sometimes i wanted to buy many cars at once but then remembered i have too many projects to do lol. For 6k you can get a nice R32 or R33 GTS, or maybe even a salvage R32 GTR. If you decide to buy one now, go for a good condition GTS so you won't have 3 cars that don't work.

We've come a long way from where we began !
○ What is up my dudes ? ○ Sorry for not posting for a while , but all the parts came in for the Supra , including the very sick and very secret rims that I got for it... Y'all 'bouta be amazed ! ○ VS-XX baby !!! These look hella dope !!! ○ The rim specs are : 19"x11 all around , so , they are really thicc ! ○ The rims came with Michelin 255/25 R19 tyres all around. I really hope these tyres will grip up because I have some huge power goals for the Supra. ○ So , I can't tell you how hyped I am to send this thing to paint tommorow ! Just wait guys, the Supra is gonna be a goddess when she comes back from repainting ! ○ Anyway , I have to say that the OEM aero looks amaizing ! I wonder if any of you know the color she's gonna be... ○ So , let me elaborate on why I didn't post these past days... ○ I've worked day and night to get the perfect fitment on the bumpers , sideskirts , fenders and the new door. I've also transferred the blinkers from the old fenders to these Seibon ones and I've took the badges , the trunk taillight and the rear windshield from the old rusty trunk and put them onto this new one. Here's a quick booty pic : ○ I have to say that we've really come a long way from where we began , 'cuz if you look back to how the Supra looked when I first got it , you'll realise how much time and effort it took to bring it back to its former glory. ○ So , yes. I've also installed the Tein coilovers and the brakes. Because the brake kit I've ordered contained the brake discs , brake pads and brake lines , I had to buy some Wilwood calipers. Anyway , let me give you some specs , so , I'm running Tein Street Flex coilovers , Stoptech front and rear brake discs with Stoptech brake pads and Wilwood TX6R 6 piston calipers all around. The front discs are drilled and the rears are slotted. Of course all of the discs are ventilated as well for maximum brake efficiency. Here's a better look at them : ○ Under the hood everything is stock for now. The 2J is completely stock , its a twin turbo of course and it is coupled to the V160 transmission that the car came with. This being a Toyota engine , I'd say that it is hella reliable , and as of now it runs without any problems ! I've also installed a brand new Optima battery because the old one was quite old... from 1994 to be exact. ○ The interior has been completely restored and everything is in absolute perfect condition. In order to get the interior to not smell like hell I had to strip everything down to the chassis , so I'm really glad everything looks and smells so good... ○ So , thats kinda all for this update. The Supra will be back from painting on Monday , but I assure you that its going to be worth the wait. ○ Anyways , I'll see ya guys around ! Stay stoked ! |

Finally...
○ What's up my dudes ? ○ So , while the Supra is getting repainted , I finally decided to pull the trigger and get a Skyline ! As you can see in the photo from above , it's an R33 GTST , and that means that it has the RB25DET inside and it is RWD ! Anyway , here's some more pictures : ○ So , I found her at the local junkyard near me and I must say that she caught my eye instantly. There were lots of other awesome JDM cars that looked interesting , but I saw something really really sad there. A totaled R32 GT-R. I would've bought that one , but it was beyond repair. Oh well... ○ She looks quite good for a salvage title ! Also , these rims though ! They look sick !!! ○ So , she was bought back in 1994 and the odometer indicates 156900 km and it was raced on the track quite a lot ! Who knows what cool and interesting parts she has... ○ I don't want to get dirty with her just yet , because I'm gonna let the professionals take care of her. I can't wait for tomorrow morning 'cuz I'll drive down to Mackay's garage and let the guys over there do their thing. My plans for this thing would be to make it like the R32 that Mackay once owned ( it's now owned by Lagano ) , and I bet all of you know that that R32 is an absolute monster on the road. If I remember correctly it has over 600hp ! ○ I'll post the spec list after the car is properly inspected. ○ I haven't decided what engine to go with , but I think I'll swap it to an RB26. I'll ask Mackay tomorrow , he knows everything about Skylines. ○ Here's a current pic of the engine bay : ○ So , the engine runs quite well , and revs very nice. Also , she sounds amaizing with that HKS muffler. ○ The interior is completely stock , which is not my cup of tea but oh well , we'll get there some day in the future... ○ Anyway , lets talk some numbers. I bought her for 7000V$ , which kinda leaves me with not a whole lot of money in my pocket. I'm afraid I'll have to sell something and I know exactly what... The S14. If any of you are interested in buying the S14 , feel free to make an offer ! If you want the full spec list check out some older posts. I'm sure you'll find everything you need to know there ! ○ So , thats all for now , I'm really excited for this new project and I hope you guys are too ! ○ I'll see y'all around ! |

We will be waiting for you tomorrow, feel free to come by even tho it will be Saturday, I am sure that we will be working on Radcoons 86', so we will take a look at yours R33 too, also don't hesitate to stay longer for drinks and bbq, because as you know saturdays are for the boys lol.
As for the R32, when I sold it to Lagano it was pushing way over 1010HP+, so yeah. Might be hard to do the same on RWD one as yours, because as we know there will be zero traction at such high hp, anyways, we will see I guess. Can't wait to check this thing out in person. |

Awesome, it seems like a small gathering of us will happen at my place haha.
Yeah, you read that right, the car made 1010HP+ on E85, you can find more in my blog if you want, everything is written in detail about it since I got it. Full part list and specs when I owned it are in the ad, you can take a look here - *LINK* As far as I know Lagano didn't changed anything in the engine bay, only interior I believe. |

I would be quite cool ! What do you think we should do ? Go awd or slam on some fat radials on the rear and go for as much power as possible? Also , the R32 looks amaizing ! Of course it would be possible man, but as you know, everything costs money, and instead of doing such thing it would be cheaper to buy a real GTR because there are quite a few good ones for decent price, which would save a lot of time and money in the long run, but yeah, we can definitely swap the built RB26 using RB25 or custom oil pan and go full RWD beast machine. So it would be up to you man, maybe enjoy the R33 as it is and modify other things until you get real GTR, but if you decide to go RB26 route and build it from ground up I am down to help, I could even sell you my current R34 engine because I am building new one from ground up using N1 block and so on..
Thank you man, you doing the same with all your restoration projects, saving JDM cars. |
