UNEPIC FUN TIMETomorrow was supposed to be the day I get my S15 (Project Ichigo) tuned, emphasis on "supposed to." You'll see why that's so later on. But today I decided to bring the S14 out for some fun times. I wanted to compare how different the power and response was between the S14 and the S15. I put the Gram Lights 57Cs on because I knew I was gonna slide it HARD. First order of business, pick up my Z32 MAF from the post office. Then I was on my way. Touring around, driving through city streets and whatnot. I had my dinner at a super good curry place, the renowned CURRY HOUSE CoCo ICHIBANYA, then after a short drive I found myself within a parking lot near my house I called up a friend, met up with him and told him to help me out by getting the R33 stockies from WestKyo, should I mangle the tires on these 57Cs and need those. When he came back. YAP YAP, that was the G O ! signal. It was time to A T T A C KI absolutely shredded the living fuck out of the tires. And eventually I had to swap them out. Time to check: 1:47 AM. I got the R33 stockies on... Then after a LONG session of drifts. IT HAPPENED.Definitely NOT good news. It was pretty late and at that point I was pretty dazed, but from what I can remember (And from what Jack told me), I hit the parking lot metal fence. I swung around, hit my fender then proceeded spinning until my rear end hit some pole, and I stopped near another metal fence. The next thing I knew, I was being transported/chauffeured in an S13. Jack dropped me off at my crib. Thanks man! :THE MORNING AFTER:Gave Jack a call to thank him and to learn about what happened as previously mentioned. Then I asked where the car was. It was at the police station, impounded and awaiting penalty fees. So without skipping a beat I hopped right into my FC1 and floored it. I went into the station and asked for the car. After paying 400,000 yen (V$4,000) in infractions (accident caused by reckless imprudence, destruction of private property, license plate not visible, shaken expired). I was out to claim it and have it towed back to WestKyo. My heart is broken. I don't know what to feel. The damage was far more than I expected. I don't even know what the extent of it is. Doing that drift and that epic (apparently unepic) fun time was a HUGE mistake. Now I remember, I was getting a feel for the RB25DET, pretty much going hard on it and flooring it, then I saw a dog cross right in front of me. As my instinct was to dodge, I turned the wheel, that's what caused me to spin and eventually crash the car. But full disclosure I take full custody for what's happened. I really shouldn't have been drifting at a parking lot with limited lighting at 3 in the morning. Lesson learned, but it's sad the car had to go through something traumatic before I could learn my lesson. With all of that said, I tried firing it up but it would only sputter and then die shortly after. I had it towed to WestKyo. I don't know what to do or what to even say at this point. But either way, Project S14 is out of commission, for now? For a while? Forever? Who knows. But I guess I'll be focusing on other things for now. F. He needs some milk. Jokes aside this thing is fucked up, but I am glad you are okay as you could have destroyed your spine going backwards into that railing.. Eh, we live and we learn, no matter how much we love our cars, they can be replaced, but we can't replace you. It might be interesting to inspect this car in person, because from what I am seeing now it might be fixable, it won't be as beautiful as it was but its possible unless gaps formed around the doors, then chassis is done. Eh, setback is setup for comeback, we gonna help you man. ♥

# Niatross : This breaks my heart as much as it broke yours Lolol no need to remind me, I still think about it every hour # 11000rpm : Heartbreaking to see what happened to you, I hope you didnt injure from the crash apart from the S14. Eh, setback is setup for comeback, we gonna help you man. ♥ Dude I still have whiplash from the incident, been getting some therapy lately but thank GOD it's nothing serious. I don't how I'll be able to bring the car to you, I guess I can source a tow truck but that probably won't be soon. I could bring it back exactly to its former stock body glory, but at that point it might just get its ass handed to it again (literally). If ever I push through with the car, overfenders are the planned route. No door running board damage thankfully, although I need to investigate more. Comeback soon! I hope I get the urge (and cash) to start bringing it back to life. # Soju : Ouch, that is a big F for the S14. I hope you recover yourself as soon as possible. Big F indeed. But hey gives you an excuse to rebuild it! Love your daily on TE's It sucks BIG TIME . Yeah a rebuild is in the books but nothing is set in stone. And thanks! TEs look good just about everything. # Nightrunner : Oh my god , what happened to the S14 ! I´m so sorry for your car m8 , but you are fine , nothing happened to you and thats what matter the most ! Correct, at least I'm safe. Man I wanna make it up to the S14 though Added 38 minutes later: THAT'S HOW MAFIA WORKSHey everyone! Thank you guys for sympathizing with me. It's a very tough time (A nigga going through a lot rn ngl), and you guys are what get me to wake up in the morning, it's that support that keeps the fire in me burning. I know nothing's gonna happen if I just lay in bed, skipping work all because of a mistake I did at 3AM one night, something shitty, something very unbecoming of a lawyer. And I've already started on righting my wrongs. One of those wrongs is finally getting my S15 tuned. Or at least, trying to. So I went ALL the way to Tochigi Prefecture in an untuned S15, with my Z32 MAF in the back seat, in hopes of getting my S15 up to PEAK PERFORMANCE. When I arrived, the boys at Koguchi Power accommodated me very well. Within a few minutes I was on queue to dyno. The only problem was, well, I was too low. So I had to take my front bumper off to get it up the ramp. After that point we strapped it up and checked everything for leaks and discrepancies. No problems, so the tuner plugged his computer into the ECU, and started messing with the GReddy PROfec E-01 Boost Controller I had on the car. It turns out, a puny boost controller was not enough to counter the intense AFRs the car was throwing, even less when the Z32 Mass Air Flow Sensor was installed. So they stuck a special programmable chip into the ECU board, and went on with their business. Soon enough, the car was SCREAMING, and it certainly sounded like some serious power was being made. But like life itself, things don't always go as planned, and over here that's no exception. See that smoke? That's from the clutch slipping. The stock SR20DET S15 clutch could only take 270 wheel before giving out, hence the smoke. Sadly, because of this, I wasn't able to realize the full capabilities of the turbo and the engine. So for now, I have to rely on a semi-dyno tune, coupled with a road tune. Don't worry, once I get everything set, it'll be back on the dyno before you know it. At this point I need a fully programmable ECU (looking for a PowerFC unit so if anyone has leads let me know!) to get the car tuned accurately. But yeah this will do fine for now. I paid the tuning fee (10,000 yen (V$100)) and then went off to give it a shakedown of my own. YES THIS WILL DO VERY FINE IN THE MEANTIME. I already feel the BUMP in power and force. There's an obvious increase just from that chip tune! Getting the rear A048s to break traction is a BREEZE now. Slides GOOD. Now while I was sliding the car around, flooring it and getting a feel for everything, I found to have been experiencing some rubbing issues within the fender liners and the arches. Too many Gs this time that the suspension actually reaches that level of compression already I'm guessing. At that point, it was either change tires, or raise the height. You probably already know that I love my LOW. So I went and proceeded with the former. Back over at WestKyo, I took the R34 stockies off to get them fitted with some new thinner, narrower rubber that'll clear the wells. But at that point I remembered that I still had some Advan TC3s awaiting a car to be on, these were off my FC1 Civic, and that was pretty low and cleared the wells, these have stretched tires so rubbing shouldn't be an issue. The R34s will be going back on when I feel like it, I'm switching it up a bit with this setup. I thought I could make do with putting the wheels on without the spacers off the R34 stockies, but apparently not, at least, not with style. That epic offset game though. So I took the wheels off again and re-added the spacers. This time, I managed to nail the look. This look is growing on me FAST. I honestly think I'm getting increasingly close to the NOB Vertex T&E S15 that Yuan (BigSmoke) brought up a while back. Oh yeah I forgot to add. I bought 2 cars, sight unseen on the internet. Phonexius is shipping the cars to Japan right now as we speak! V$4,500 from Bosnia! The car itself? It's a secret, for now. Finances: This post was edited by RocketBunnyS13 (2019-02-06 05:42, ago) |

Digging the look from the TC3's as well my dude!
Also, lemme know when the clutch is dialed and you're going back to Tochigi. Supra needs a dyno run just for power deets so might as well tag along together right? Power guess for S15 - 312whp |

# Niatross : Digging the look from the TC3's as well my dude! I'm really digging the look as well dude! Thanks. Yeah I'll update you on that ASAP. # BigSmoke : Oh how I love the Ichigo even more man Haha I love the Ichigo even more now too, the power still surprises me. Getting closer to that Taniguchi S15 you showed me haha And yeah the new clutch is on the way! AND YES LET'S SCHED A TOUGE SESH! A Tsukuba shakedown is fine too! # Soju : Advan TC3s are the best wheels for any Japanese cars CORRECT! I remember your old JZA80 on TC3s, just gorgeous And yeah that should do the trick. Thank you! Added 32 minutes later: DAMAGE CONTROL!First thing's first. I had the S14 towed to a shop with a lift the other day. Yesterday morning I dropped by on the way to work to assess the damage. Here's what the master mechanic and I have gathered so far: - Front left tie rod bent - - Steering rack bent - - Front left control arm snapped - - Rear inner wall breached and crumpled - - Rear underchassis area crumpled - - Rear right shock tower crumpled - - Rear right upper control arm bent - - Rear right lower control arm missing - - Rear right coilover blown and dead - - Rear left lower control arm destroyed - - Exhaust hanger, exhaust system crumpled - - Spare tire area unrecognizable - - Trunk mounts unsalvagable - - Trunk shell damaged and unsalvageble - - Front left wiring harness torn - - Rear light harness missing - - Rear subframe pushed forward 4cm - - Transmission oil pan cracked - - Engine oil pan smashed - - Side mount intercooler crumpled - - Fuel pump not priming/not functional - - Rear right toe arm bent - - Rear right knuckle crumpled - - Rear right brake disc warped - - Rear right caliper damaged and bent - - Rear right wheel bent (inner barrel) - - Front left side of engine bay slightly out of alignment - - Hopes and dreams fucked - - Life has no meaning - - End my suffering - - Fixable, but will take some time - So yeah, it's pretty much FUCKED. But I'm not ready to let this car go. I fucking disgraced it, and it's my job to correct my mistake. I have to do this car justice no matter what, I'm sure it's what Muzahid (Niatross) and Koro-san would've wanted. Speaking of which, I broke the news to him and he was over-the-moon FURIOUS at what happened. He's glad I'm okay but called me all sorts of shitty things, and to be honest, I can't blame him. But now the pressure to rebuild this thing is even higher now, and rebuild this thing I'll definitely do. Just you wait. In other newsI test fitted the Gram Lights 57Cs on the S2K, not too shabby me thinks. Offset may be a tad low which is causing the poke but that should be sorted out with some camber. Might actually put em on the car when it's low and deserving. In its current form it drives FANTASTIC though. I can never get enough of that 9K RPM SCREAMMMMM. I'd never give my car up for an AP2 tbh, more so when I've got a damn Type V. In other news x2I took the S15 apart again. Yes I know what you're gonna say, I'm making my own life harder, I'm playing myself blah blah, hear me out. I'm getting my internals forged and balanced so that I can take FULL advantage of that turbo, all that money wasted on an engine with unused potential would surely be a dumb thing to do anyway right? So yeah. OH yeah I got a new clutch on the way from Up Garage at their Higashimurayama branch in Tokyo. I found their listing for an Ogura Racing Enhanced Metal Single Clutch ORC - 409D - 02N5 for 71,900 yen (V$719). Should be coming in soon. AAAAAAAND the engine is out! Next step is to take it apart and get the components machined or replaced. More on that soon! Oh and another thing, this is the last time you'll see the S15 rolling (or sitting) on TC3s, because I just sold them to Dominik (NightRunner) yesterday night for V$1,350. Check out his cool JZA80 build! He just got some sick new Ridox Aero from it, inspired by Soju's current aero setup. Ngl I really want a Supra and an R34 now, been seing a lot of them around the forums lately. But eh, we'll see what the future holds. (Maybe I alraedy bought one, OR MAYBE I ALREADY HAVE A JZA80 AND A BNR34 HIDDEN SOMEWHERE H I H E) Finances: This post was edited by RocketBunnyS13 (2019-01-26 00:11, ago) |

Ogura clutch is also a wise choice, it's recommended for drifts When she finished the ops it'll be a monster on touge roads! And oh, since you've sold the TC3s, are you going to buy another or are you going to buy different wheels? Also those Grams fit the S2K well so DO IT! |

And you're welcome for the TC3s! # Phonexius : Brush that S14, so sad, Haha nah nothing of that sort thankfully # Sleepin mOnkey : oof the s14 took a big hit but glad to see that you are going to fix it Thanks man Added 59 minutes later: New Vehicular Unit, Who Could This Person Be By Any Chance?(WARNING: A ton of pics!)Hey everyone! Remember that car Phonexius sourced out for me? He actually sourced 2! One of which was claimed by Muzahid (Niatross), you'll find out a little later when he updates his thread. Anyway, I purchased both cars sight unseen off the Bosnian internet for V$2,300. Though Ben (Phonexius) assured me that the car was exactly what was in the pictures. Following the refreshing touge run I did with Yuan (BigSmoke) and Muzahid (Niatross) (If you haven't checked out BigSmoke's update yet, go do that first, GOGOGOGO!), I got my rest. Then one fine day at work as I was packing up, I was informed that my "shipment" had arrived. Got a good night's sleep then woke up first thing in the morning and headed to the docks. When I arrived, I looked for the shipment and found out that only one car had arrived, and the other container was still awaiting clearance. Fortunately for me (Unfortunately for Muzahid), mine was the one that landed ashore. After signing the papers and documents, I had the car mounted to a truck and brought to the garage. Fast Forward To The Day AfterAfter work, I headed straight to the shop, where the truck that had my car was waiting. 1989 Nissan 200SX 1.8 Turbo (RS13U) Genuine European 200SX goodness. There's not a whole lot I can say about this car other than it was a project that was left stagnant for a long while. Paint is pretty worn but I have high hopes that a good detail job will resurrect the shine. The European 200SX RS13U had a number of parts as standard that were Nismo optional parts in Japan. A water/oil heat exchanger, a differential oil cooler and an extended finned rear cover holding 0.6L more oil (even on models with an open differential), aluminum radiator, and a lower 3.916 final drive ratio (JDM ones had a 4.083 ratio) which was required as the RS13U 200SX had no speed limiter and any car in Europe could visit West Germany where on the Autobahn it could legally be held at very high speeds for a sustained length of time (Japanese cars are fitted with a 180 km/h/110 mph speed limiter). Under the hood is, well, nothing actually. But everything else has been sorted out so any engine would be ready to drop in. Wiring, brake lines, have all been sorted out. Interior is pretty fresh, but smells musty and is pretty dusty. Seats and trims still have no tears! And I'm told the factory 200+km/h cluster works perfectly. It even came with a European battery stored in the trunk, ready to be used (No the battery hasn't been relocated, it's just where the owner put the battery in for storage). Ah yes there's the CA18DET. Albeit missing some components. Afaik the rest should be coming in along with the other car so when that arrives I can piece this thing back together The FS5W71C gearboxes in these Euro CAs had different ratios from other S13s. A key change is the layshaft gear which was changed from 22/31 to 21/32, thus running the layshaft slower and at higher torque. This gearbox is considered weaker than other S13/S14 gearboxes, but if need be, the front of the SR20DET gearbox with the bell housing can be removed and a CA18DET bell housing can be fitted to allow the gearboxes to be swapped. Oh yeah, small ichigo update. The SR20DET has been dropped off at Koguchi Power, where they're gonna balance EVERYTHING, and replace the necessary components with forged units. Head and manifolds are getting polished as well for optimized air flow. Can't wait to get it back! I also borrowed Muzahid's extra spare of SSR Type-Cs for my car to stand on while sitting at the shop, awaiting its reborn beast of a heart. I'm surprised they fit pretty well specs-wise. STATUS UPDATE LEZGOFollowing Yuan (BigSmoke)'s migration back to Tokyo (check his RP thread out, check out his Evo 3 build and his latest acquisition, an S15!), I've been pursuing a very hard decision. This actually came out as a bit of a surprise, but I've been negotiating the sale on my FC1 for quite a while now (since after the S14 crash). But now the time has come to end my ownership of FC1, and the time has also come for the FC1 to continue its life under a new owner. There's not much to say about this car. It's been tastefully modified with nothing but the best of goodies, no shortcuts were taken here. Simple formula, simple results, that's just how it works. Bearing in mind all of the mods I installed, we agreed on V$18,000. Farewell Civic, it was nice knowing you. I had fun, some real good times. And owning you is something I will never regret. Now, moving on...NEW ACQUISITIONMarc and I had a talk and I ended up buying his S13 to help him out. Funnily enough, this car never left the K-S team. It was first found by Muzahid (Niatross) who built it up into the the very fun drifty boi it is right now. And eventually it ended up in Marc's (Macaron_moon's) hands. And then I got a hold of it. Car is pretty shipshape with a clean shell, no bog or anything. A genuine Works 9 Kit (which Marc mangled the front bumper, more on that later). Interior is stripped with some Blitz gauges, a hydro e-brake system, a Bride driver seat and a half-cage. Under the hood is an SR20DET with a GReddy TD06SH-25G turbo, a GReddy Oil Catch Can, some custom plumbing, custom exhaust manifold, and a blown 4th cylinder. Last month I compensated him handsomely, with V$11,000, to pay for the car and to help him out with his CZ4A build and his new car purchase ( H U E ). Also last month, I had the front bumper sent to a body shop, I had it refibered, and then repainted to the car's shade of red. Looks new! Can't wait to see how this car transforms because I myself don't know the plan for it yet. For now it'll probably stay that way. I gotta work on getting it running. Moving on again, we have something UNEXPECTEDNEW ACQUISITION x2At this point and in this particular situation (I'm pertaining to the S14 here), I have realized that it simply isn't worth the time and effort to restore and reshape the current shell to its original figure. Therefore I have decided to sell the S14. JUST KIDDING. OKAY I WAS JOKING. CHILL. I scoured through the internet classifieds to find the perfect donor car. Something within the reasonably realistic budget, but packs a lot for what it's worth. Something kept with care, a vehicle I'll want to handle gently and with utmost safety. And alas, I came across this gorgeous vehicular unit. I went to see it in person right away. It was right within my expectations, higher even, considering the ad only had one image. Everything was just what I was looking for in a project. As the ad listing denotes, this my friends, is a 1997 Nissan Silvia Q's Aero SE. 1997 was the last year they offered the 4 lug on the S14. This car is pristine. With a mere 107,259 km traveled, it's in overall decent condition. One owner, who cared for it all its life. He didn't even modify it! Trunk and interior are all intact along with their respective carpeting, even the stereo is factory, works great too! This car was perfect because it was a manual, much more than just a bonus. Under the hood is a bone stock SR20DE 2.0L Naturally Aspirated Inline 4 Cylinder. It's even got the factory airbox! The only modified thing I've seen is a Koyo Aluminum Radiator in place of the factory plastic one. SR20DE manual. WHAT A TREAT! This is the PERFECT donor car for the S14 rebuild. I'll be slowly swapping over the good parts from the wrecked one to this car. Probably starting with the small goodies like the interior stuff (except the cage which has been welded in). A 5 lug swap is in the books for sure though. But for 498k yen (V$4,980), I can't possibly go wrong with this car. I'm SUPER eager to get the build process going. And finallyWhat Is The Definition Of Stock? Cuz This Ain't It ChiefWith the FC1 gone I've been dailying my AP1 S2000 these past few days. And all in good time, my parts have arrived! I got myself Bilstein B14 PSS Coilovers for V$1,248.66 on FRSport And I got a GP Sports EXAS EVO muffler for V$199 on UpGarage via Crooober. After passing sha ken and obtaining my registration plates, I went straight to the mods. This was the car for a while, sitting on stockies with the coilovers installed at max low, and with the muffler on. Then yesterday morning I went to the shop to test fit the Gram Lights 57Cs again. Fronts are poking out a bit too much But the rears are PERFECT with the current camber setting. I mounted all 4 of them and then proceeded to Benny's to get my alignment done for the fronts. I had them dial in some more front camber to keep the poke flush on all 4 sides. Then it was finished. One night out, a few VTEC pulls here and there, I was in my element. A car that looks good, sounds AMAZING, and performs like a WINNER. All of these factors have cemented the fact that I bought the right car. B L I S SThat's all for now, thanks for reading. Next time I'll update on my S15 (Project Ichigo). I hope to start progress on the S14 soon and eventually the S13. Finances: This post was edited by RocketBunnyS13 (2019-02-19 11:16, ago) |

Yep, time to say goodbye to one of the most impressive Civic ever. Nevertheless, you did a very good job on it, and I'm sure it'll bring more smiles to the world as it goes
At this point that S13 should be crowned as K-S's training car man (Not demo car yet since it's not carrying K-S logo) And woah MT S14 for cheap? That's quite a deal man! Also so you be saying you're going to port everything from the crashed S14 to the new one? And the S2K now is ready to get even more girls yooooo |

I wonder who owns the GRB. Anyways, I'd rather transplant the functioning parts of wrecked S14 to the newly bought one.
