	Welcome to my sketchy garage Where dreams are held together with zipties and JB Weld I've inherited this shop from my grandfather and spent almost all my life savings cleaning it up, as it hasn't been opened since the late 80's. I moved here with $20,000 left and I'm planning to turn this garage into a customs and restoration shop. But for now, I'll just be building my own cars in the garage and seeing how I can turn a profit around here. The first car I found checking out the area was at a local JDM warehouse. The facility mostly dealt with motors for Volkswagen, Audi, and BMW, but they did also have a limited stock of JDM engines. They said they usually get the engines out of cars that have had the front half cut off because the cars aren't legal themselves, but they mentioned a 1-UZ they had that came in an old race car chassis they have out back. When they showed me I realized that it wasn't a race car, it was Silvia set up for D1SL. I knew they had no idea what it actually was meant for, so I offered them $3000 for it, but I guess they saw some some potential in it because the countered with $3500. I took it and had them tow it the garage for an extra 50 bucks. The car is solid, even has a tube front end, but no diff, no engine, and no engine mounts. I threw some spare wheels on it so i can roll it around the shop. I plan on fabing up some mounts for an LS and getting a nice base LS to build off of. 	Update on the S13 I've managed to get to the junkyard and salvage title auction last week. I didn't like any of the cars at the auction but there were some totaled cars that were fairly new at the front of the yard. There was a 350z with massive front end damage, a M5 that looked like it got T boned and a 09 Corvette that had been rear ended pretty hard. I checked the engine on the corvette and besides a bent master cylinder the LS7 was barely scratched. I bought the engine off the yard owner for $3000 and spent the Monday night with some friends tearing it out and hauling it to the shop. We managed to get it in the car and turning over by Wednesday and now I'm just starting to hook up the fuel system. I ordered a new kit for the car but it is supposed to be in tomorrow, and i dont wanna spoil it too soon. I dont know what im going to get for rims yet, but nothing too classy because i just want to flip this car and move onto another soon. Since I'm currently pursuing a graphics arts degree, I'm going to design a wrap for this car to restore it to its D1SL glory days before i sell it. The goal is to give this car a second chance at life in the hands of a someone who will drive the shit out of it. Starting $: 16,450 LS7: -3000 Final $: 13,450

	Disaster struck, and my savegame got corrupted, so excuse any slight differences not explained. I visited my friends shop today, and he helped me with some stuff on the car. First he let me test fit some 17 inch rims on the car to see how wheel fitment was going to be. The rear fender fit fine, but the front fender rubbed way too much, so we took a piece of tubing and rolled the fenders out to fit the wheels. I really like the A-Tech Battle MB's he let me borrow, i think i might get these when the time comes to get rims, maybe in chrome though. After wrenching for a bit we headed off to the local swap meet which is why i was visiting. I managed to find some cool finned valve covers by Moroso for $150. Swap meets are the best for cheap parts. New valve covers meant relocating the coil packs, so i mounted them under the exhaust manifolds on either side. Now how i got the paint job was through my friend. He offered to paint the car for the deep corn purple steering wheel and the bride seat that came with the car. I asked if he would throw in his old 240 seat and wheel so i could drive it when i finally got it running and he agreed. The paint is still drying so i havent worked on the car since then. Btw, i started printing my own stickers in the shop. This is the first one i made as a test, i think it came out well. its cool to get to create your own designs and be able to use them on the car. 	n i c e Very good project! , I'm doing something similar, i bought a Mazda RX7 FC3S without engine, or gearbox, only body, suspension and interior, and I will try to adapt a 2uz-fe of a Lexus, and then try to get a hand on that engine, but now I'm stuck with the documents of the fc and another car that buys (a 180sx half done with a swap of rb20neo ready to place) and some paperwork of the cars to be legal (I brought the cars of australia) Good luck !

	S13 major update, The car is all together now, just finished the last setup this morning. The kit finally came in. I was able to find a works9 style front bumper and sideskirts which look amazing on the car. I splurged and also got a D-Max hood for it too since the engine barely fits under the hood. Theres a little more clearance now. I had to go back to the junkyard to get the wiring harness from the vette i got the engine from, and i picked up a sentra grill that looks pretty cool on the car. Since i couldnt find a rear bumper that matched the rest of the kit and i didnt have the stock bumper i decided to make a rear bash bar to protect the gas tank. Along with that i made an exhaust for the car thats pretty freakin loud cause its just straight piped. But what other way is there to have a car. I also was able to pick up some of those A-Tech Battle rims online for $600, which is much cheaper than i expected. Now that there's more clearance under the hood, i threw on the air filter and the engine covers too just for the hell of it. I think they look pretty nice. Welp I wasnt expecting to go this deep into the car. I'm gonna sell it at this point cause i want to move on to another car. 	probably the only ls s13 i like on here lol. fr tho good job with the car. what a shame that you're selling it considering there's a chance of someone just stancing it and ripping apart the engine.

	So the S13 is sold. JDMSly came up from Florida and picked it up yesterday. As soon as i got the cash and he left i called up one of my dads friends who had a 70 Plymouth Duster shell. It had no motor, no trunk, no wiring, but it had headlights and tailights and blinkers in the front. I offered him $5000 for it but he said he was firm on $6000. I knew that he had put a lot of work into restoring the chassis itself so it was a solid car so i diudnt argue and took him up on the $6000. I have some crazy plans for this car, let's just say that i already have the engine picked out at from the place i got the S13 chassis from. What i will say is that this car is not going to be a restoration to stock. Quite the opposite actually. More coming this afternoon.

	Duster Update. Now known as project Pond Leaper. The car's body is mostly together. The chrome front bumper it came with was badly pitted and scratched from sitting in the front yard instead of on the car. I decided just to sand it and paint it. Yellow wont be the final color of the car but its just cheap paint to keep raw metal from rusting. I bought a Tachometer from FB marketplace for $100. Its probably a knock off but it works so thats all that matters. I also got a seat from a crashed 240 at the local junkyard. That cost about $500. I'm going to have to get a new shifter because the gated one is a pain in the ass. The wheels i got custom C&C'd at an aluminum welding and fabrication shop. Theyre solid accept for a heart cutout. I hand painted the red in the heart to make it pop a little more. They're going to go well on the car after i paint it the way i intend to. And now for the engine. Nowhere near ready to run yet but i picked it up without the turbo manifold from that import shop for $1500. I've bought some exhaust tubing and a T88 for it already, just gotta weld the manifold and fit it all in tomorrow. The clearances for the engine in this car are pretty tight, so if i dont want a rear mounted radiator, which i dont, im going to have to have the intercooler stick out a little bit. First world problems huh. Starting V$: 25,720 Tach: -$100 Seat: -$500 Wheels and Tires: -$1600 Engine: -$1500 Final V$: $22,020

	Update, the Duster is nearing completion. The main things that are left are wiring the dash and tachometer. Doing a lot of electrical wiring with the new harness for the engine too. I welded the exhaust manifold last weekend and ordered the turbo right after. I got a T88 so that'll put some power down for drifting. I bought a Blitz intercooler from online for $300 second-hand. It came with the tubing which i had to modify to fit the car. the front bumper doesnt fit with the intercooler so i guess no crash safety for now. I also got the car painted and then painted the design on myself. I think it ties in the wheels nicely. Cant wait to get it running and do some skids.
