I've been playing SLRR for a while now, and I've been interested into getting into Roleplay builds. I'm having
trouble putting detail into my builds, and my screenshots always look like garbage. I'm wondering if someone could help me out? |

# Sawblade Dude : I've been playing SLRR for a while now, and I've been interested into getting into Roleplay builds. I'm havingStep 1. people like different stuff (Meaning grab a 240sx and say its different) Step 2. ..............Thats pretty much it lol In all seriousness just do as you please just be yourself and idk be interesting. There are tutorials on how to make better screenshots and i mean im sure there are tons of people who would edit the pics for you if you gave them decent pics to work with(And enough V$ since you are probs gonna use "V$")also try a enb out for takin screens. Try the Intel HD enb it should work for you. |

GraphicsI use Coprone's ENB, you should try it too imo it's really good. When taking pictures use +&- for zoom. Using lots of zoom really helps pictures look good. RP StuffRead the rules obviously. When buying cars or parts you can use the shops made by people or just find the part you want online and use that price. Don't use "from a scrapyard" and then make up a price, unless it was from a scrapyard with proof. Take real amount of times to do things, you can't build a car completely in a day. Research prices for paint etc That should do hopefully. |

Just keep it semi realistic and your own style. Give as much detail as you can. Explain your build process where needed (i.e when putting the engine together). You can make prices and stuff up but pleas be reasonable. Don't buy a Poo40 (240sx/180/200) for $12 and sell it for $30,000). Some will find it interesting and some will not, you mostly have to do it for yourself and those who support it will. as for the enb I never used one when i was heavy into RPing here but i guess it wouldn't hurt the photos

Being creative helps a lot. Build cars as you like, but never do it too fast. Takes away the "fun". Use photoshop or any otger image editing program to add a sign on car "for sale" or paper covered on unpainted psrts at psintbooth. Anything.
Don't have a lot cars that are all showcars with 800HP+, that's kind of boring. I'm not going to approve myself, but you can take a look at my roleplay. Everything takes absurdly long time. What's bad about my RP that I don't have that many "process" photos (like in progress of removing a part etc). Also what I'm going after is full accuracy/realism about location and everything else. Currently I'm replicating a street where I'm living (yes, making 3d model of it) and only use screenshots with landmarks or tracks near my home. Not like you live in New York but photos are taken clearly at Ebisu. Maybe I'm just a freak. Oh and try to be in character. Example what's in character and what's not. Correct: "nice rims, are those new or used?" and not correct; "nice rims where you downloaded these?". Keep out of character things in double brackets or just send a PM. About graphics, take a look at the nicest snd neatest screenshot you can find in showoff thread. Try to copy the idea of the image style and quality. And more specifically, turn your resolution to high as possible (otherwise your screenshots could be mistaken for pics from 2006). Get yourself a good quality car mod, lowpoly kinda ruins it. Then make sure no very low quality textures appear. View distance and other stuff can be turned up from settings. After all thst, get yourself ENB and sort out anti aliasing. If that's all done and actually looks good, try some effects with photoshop. This post was edited by Coprone (2017-08-10 23:56, ago) |
