So i couldn't deal with a automatic V8 for very long so i decided to have the El Camino as a tow pig or what not and buy a daily for the garage so we can all get around without spending majority of day at the petrol station :)).
I looked for a day or so and found a decent S14 Zenki for $2100. It was literally down the road from us so i hopped in the 86 and did a little wee rip down the street thanks to the new 20v ;) .

Its a Silvia K's Package S14 Zenki, apart from the silvia k badge deciding to peel off halfway back up the road! We did a little service like replacing oil filters and checking for white froth under the oil cap and luckily there was none!. The engine is a N/A Black-Top SR20DE which is a decent engine making around 210hp i would guess maybe a little less think about 190. It has a nice roar for a N/A and can rip if it wants to surprisingly.

Heres a few pics of the beast:

We have at least something to drive that doesnt blow a hole in our pockets because of gas. And the Camino will be our hauler for parts and stuff. Also I got myself new rims and tires for the Supra. Because I blew the tires because of drifting and I sold the R33 rims.

I'll post an update tonight.

It was already decided 2 minutes after I bought the truck a few weeks ago when I called you two that it was gonna be a tow truck! Atleast I get a driving couch to drive around for now cuz the rx7 is just 'unsafe' to put it into a easy word... but the truck is difficult to parallel park cuz its more than 2x bigger than a average Kei Car... But i wonder, what gets better milleage, the Rx7 or the El Camino? (my guess is the El Camino)

Added 1 minute later:

oh and you gotta put the costs of the service on the S14's engine! ;)

Backyard find

While cruising down Akina touge with Zero, Jeff didn't come with us because he was busy working on his FD, as I have said earlier. there was a R32 Skyline GTS-T sitting in someones backyard. At first that was a rumor but when we got there, there was this Skyline sitting and just doing nothing in his backyard.

After we have spoken to the owner, he said that he was drifting it back in 2000 and 2001. After that it was his daily car for 10 years. He got something new/old that he's working on. He was telling me that the car was used mostly for track drifting, because it was too heavy for touge drifting.

The car has some flaws, like it's missing the whole exhaust pipe, it's got an S15 light instead of the original, the body is all beat up, the engine needs service and so on.

But also the car has some older rims, that you don't see very often, and it's running on rear Brembmo 330mm discs with ProjectU calipers, and the front brakes are from a Supra.

And as you guys can see the body has been worked on. You can see all the areas the previous owner has worked on.

And the owner said that the engine in the car is reliable. He put an OEM R33 GT-R turbo in the RB20 and the car can withstand it.

And it's got a huge HKS intercooler.

I traded in some parts that I had from my Supra. He told me that his new car was actually a Toyota Supra RZ Aerotop with a HKS forged 2JZ. I told him that he can visit our shop anytime. He agreed, and sold me the R32 for 3900V$.

I'll post more pics of the R32 when me and Zero get to our garage.

Finances:
-3900V$ Bought the R32
-25V$ Gas for the R32
Money left: 33326V$

All of the pictures are working. It's maybe because of a bad connection.

And it's a nice Skyline, but today was a pain in the ass changing out the engines. The RB20 was toast when we got home. Luckily we had your Camino to get that engine from the scrapyard today.

The bank hates me

As I said above. The RB20 is toasted, toasted with butter. As me and Zero were getting to our garage the RB started to make weird noises, and suddenly stalled on me. Zero towed me to our garage where we checked the oil pan and filter. There were some metal chunks in there. That means the engine was dead.

As I had some contacts from local scrapyards, I immediately called most of them asking for a engine. No one had an RB20, but, yes BUT, they had an RB26DETT that was in a crashed R34.

While Zero and Jeff were stripping down the engine bay and getting ready for everything, I took Jeffs El Camino and drove straight to the scrapyard. The seller told me that he will trade the RB26 for my RB20 with some extra cost, cuz u know its a RB20...

These photos were taken at around 11AM...

When I got back to the garage with the RB26, we started putting it in. It was a whole day job. Luckily we borrowed a engine hoist from a small garage down the street.

It's 11PM now, the engine is finally in the car, it's missing the intercooler pipes, we were too tired to put it in. Also it needs new airfilters, new radiator, oil change and so on. But, it was a fucking hectic day... I'm lucky that I got friends and team mates like Jeff and Zero. They're always ready to help, and I'm thankful for that.

It looks a thousand times better with the RB26

And if anyone asks for the Supra, here's how she looks now:

Finances:
+2250V$ Mondays paycheck
+750V$ Blown RB20
-2750V$ RB26DETT
-700V$ Work VS-KF rims + Falken tyres
Money left: 32876V$

It's late as fuck and I should take a shower...

So ive started to notice that the garage is getting quite full so im now resorting to bringing the 86 (my baby) to my house and storing her there since she runs and drives mint. Anyway for a while ive been eyeing up a R34 GTR sat inside a scrapyard and its been about 6 month now since i first so the R34.. Its beaten up pretty badly but its a GTR at the end of the day so ive been thinking why not go get it for the team garage and we restore it together and use it as a Team Mascot kinda thing. Well for the last three days we've had it and ive not decided to announce it because yng did the R32 (also i was away too).

It cost $5900 for it and it doesnt even have an engine but that doesnt matter because we can always just stroke an RB to 2.7 or even 3.0 and slam a big massive turbo on it for maximum choo choo noises and ultimate flutter. It came on black 17" steelies and it has all the original interior and original bumpers but the whole car is covered in rust and just random s*!t but apart from that its perfect (well in my eyes it is).

Its like your typical S13 too since its basically rainbow but the chassis is actually a factory grey of some sort but i cant really tell because of the mass amounts of rust just chilling on it :(

No RB any more - for now hehe

I also have suspicions of drift activity since the amount of scuffs and scratches tells me a different story than being just abandoned.

As we did some minor work like removing the bonnet and stuff like that we discovered it had no VIN number which made me worry a little so i phoned the police and did some digging to get a VIN for it and we have got a jackpot to say the least - The R34 is a genuine R34 GTR V·Spec II Nür which means we have a very rare car in our hands. Sounds ridiculous i know but the scrapyard didnt even know tbh they was gonna scrap it in the next week and the fact it had no VIN meant no one knew apart from the previous owner.

I think tonight is going to be an all nighter. We have to prepare the whole car for sandblasting in the next couple of days. Also we have to get that VIN number mounted on the car. But yeah, as Zero said, this is a jackpot!

I finished assembling the RB26DETT with the help of Jeff and Zero. The Skyline runs like a dream now, but still I need to stiff out the suspension and lower the springs.

I haven't even done the wiring for the lights or anything, just straight up turn-key start up setting.

Last night Jeff took a dope pic of my Skline drifting down Akagi, it's hella fast I have to say.

Some stuff for the R32

When I got the R32, I was looking for a bodykit for it. I found cracks on the bumpers, so I ordered a cool bodykit for the car.

So I ordered a Vertex Edition bodykit for the car, a week ago. Luckily it was on sale in NZ, and I bought it.

I'll show u guys the pics tomorrow and post the finances.

As I said, today I'll put on the bodykit for the R32. It was easy, because the mounting brackets are the same as for the stock bumpers. It was a quick job but the car looks a whole lot better.

So this is how the bodykit looks like

And this is how it looks on the car

I have to get new rims for the car, bigger oens, maybe 18 inch rims, and maybe get it painted.

Finances:
-630V$ Vertex Edition Bodykit
Money left: 26346V$

So we spent all yesterday afternoon and the night primering the R34 and deciding a colour (what could it be) The colour is a secret at the moment and will be revealed when the car is finally done. The primer colour is grey which should help the colour we choose show up better and we also filled in some blemishes and dints etc then primered them too. We sanded most of the car using a disc sander as its quicker but the finer details we did by hand so we didnt ruin the actual car and remove too much material. I have also ordered genuine NISMO bumpers and side skirts for the car too and they cost a pretty penny to say the least since they came from NISMO themselves. Also a surprise for the wing is also to come since we removed the stock wing and are thinking to retrofit it to the R32 or something?

Anyway here's the car:

(p.s we didnt mask the headlights etc because it was fully dry and we peeled them off while the wheel covers havent come off because i couldnt be bothered to take them off yet)

Drift Day on Ebisu Minami!

On Monday, we spent a whole day at Ebisu. It was a drift day, and everyone was welcome there. Our team went there and we drifted the shit out of my R32.
We took Jeff's Camino, drove there and you could hear the engines just roaring from far away.

The car needed real drift track testing, and Ebisu was just perfect for that occasion. We tested basically everything on the car, from the engine to how it performs. I can't say that the R32 is perfect, but it was sure hella fun. Ebisu is a car killer, luckily it didn't rain that day. We smoked through a couple sets of tyres. Was it worth it? FUCK YES!

When we arrived there, there were a shitload of good cars, and quiet unique too. There was an R32 4 door with a VR38DETT swap.

Jeff abused the living shit out of my car, I think he has a heavy foot :woot:

Still, my R32 needs some attention in the garage. I need to stiffen out the suspension, and fine tune the RB26.

After a couple of runs, everytime I got closer to the wall, but I didn't jump it :/

Zero handled the car really good, even tho he didn't drive a heavier car in a long time

After giving the R32 solid runs, I noticed that the car would stall on me when it hits a smaller jump (might be the fuel pump?), anyway this happened

As I was going up the corner, there was a smaller jump, after that section the car just stalled on me, while going solid 60KM/H (40-ish M/PH)

But hey, that's drifting, no worries. And btw the car didn't crash and nothing got broke.

Finally!

The R34 is done and i'm very happy and tbh astonished with how the paint came out and how its looking overall!
Before i move onto the pics i wanna tell you all what we did and bought etc.

Parts; First of i decided we need NISMO bumpers and the sideskirts, so i searched for hours but just decided to buy brand new from NISMO which cost me around $1400 for all parts since they were unpainted.
Secondly we had to decide rims. So i went to a local distributor and found Work Meister M1R's with a chrome lip and black center. Any colour lugnuts were also thrown in for free so i chose blue to contrast against the paint. They cost us $1000 as they were literally new, just come from the factory!

We did a run to UpGarage! which got me going for bonnet catches or hood pins and they look racekor so i got them for like $10 as they were on sale!
Next we needed an exhaust for the car to sound mean with its new engine! I picked up a HKS Hi-Power Full exhaust from manifold back which means we could also get a custom single turbo manifold made up which all totalled to $1200.
Now speaking of turbo's which one did we get? .. Of course it had to be a massive Garett turbo, The exact turbo is called GTX4708R and its capable of 720-1270 bhp which means we have to go at least forged internals to handle the boost. So we went with a Stage 1 Apexi Crankshaft, Stage 2 JUN Conrods and Pistons, HKS 280 Series Cams and a Modified 70mm Plenum. A Mishimoto Front mount and rad also helped cool and make boost for us. They all cost us around $3000 for everything.

The car is lowered on HKS Hipermax Series 3 Coilovers and still retains the original Brakes and Rotors with Ferodo Brake pads for track use. HEL braided lines also help us stop better with the huge power were capable of. They cost $1700.
Paint also cots us $2000 since it was in the booth for 2 days then we had to get paint etc.
The Engine must be a RB! So it is. We've used a Stroker kit with the JUN and Apexi parts which makes the RB26 now a RB28DET instead of DETT because a Massive single turbo is more reliable than twins sadly.

Now pics of this beast. No engine bay pics yet but admire the car as a whole!

Hope you guys love it as much as we do!

Goodbye 86
:crying:

Well i did something shocking! I decided to get a AWD Turbo Monster! Its a 1999 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution 6 and it has not been modified really which is good for me. I swapped my 86 for his Lan-Evo which tbh may have been a bad idea i dont know yet

It is bone stock apart from a few little things

Engine:
HKS Pod Filter
GFB Boost controller running at 1.5bar of boost compared to 0.7bar
No Exhaust
600cc Injectors
Remapped ECU.
Anti-Lag

Interior/Exterior:
Stock Everything
Carbon top piece for wing

Optional Extras?:
Toggle between Gravel, Snow and Tarmac for AWD System

This Evo cost me nothing apart from travelling which is nothing really!

Pics below:

Finances:
$20976 - $50 for fuel = $20926
