# Soju :

FINALLY I did some changes to near-stock condition 180SX, which would still look OEM.

I got the N1-Style bumper ducts for V$ 70 an drilled a hole in the bumper, added it and boom, all done.

11K almost cut his fingers while helping me drilling the hole!

Getting those ducts are for more cooling, since the car is over 20 years old now and somehow it would overheat without any warning.

So consider it like a "physical insurance" and the minimum job done to avoid such issues.

Apart from 180SX, The ER34 was undergoing some OEM+ changes, unlike my decision beforehand.

Yes you are right, it just looks like those early V-Spec N1 with bare carbon fiber hood, but you're wrong at the same time.

I got the used Top Secret hood, real carbon fiber for V$ 700. Not a cheap price for a hood, but weight reduction is KEY.

Also, the stock mirrors were removed and went straight to the storage, replaced with Craft Square mirrors. Costing a hefty price of V$ 400.

But hey, it looks like a GT car, why not?

And yeah, say goodbye to those pristine condition SP1s. Sad to see it go to another person but I have soft spot for OEM wheels.

Copped those with lightly used BFGoodrich tires for V$ 1500. I hope those tires would grip the asphalt really well.

After the car was done, it was stored in this place for few days, and it's finally the day to drive it! And give it a doug score

11K sat in the passenger seat, and we headed to the nearest udon place I visit very often.

He took some photos and posted on our crew members' facebook page, which will gain a lot of attention.

I think that's pretty much it for today's update. More things will come later :)

Added 56 seconds later:

also soju man you might be making me get a Type-X next season

Thanks for all the words!

I did some major weight saving methods to the Supra, and it is still undergoing its stages.

The carbon doors and the targa roof was provided, as well as the poly-carbonate windows package which came along with it.

It came from old Time-Attack style Supra which was eventually parted out several days ago, which he wanted it to start all over again with the bare chassis.

Still I didn't get why he sold all of the valuable components inside, but I got those rare parts for a reasonable price, so it's a win-win situation.

The parts were bare carbon fiber and needed some work to become fresh and clean, so it will be painted later on.

The thing is, now I lost the weight, but also lost the ability to roll down the windows with one click.

Those slidey door thing actually feels weird, making it hard to put my hands out when it's needed.

The previous windows have been removed and the poly windows are riveted properly. That would bring a lot of attention and probably fail the DMV test, but who cares anyway.

I got some Zone-Tan stickies from Mr. Lee and probably it will bring some tentacle love towards everything.

Yes, the roof and the doors are now "carbonized" and it will eventually reach the fastest Supra on the Korean Wangan highway scenes.

I see that there are lots of my Supra spottings on the community Facebook page, but I am still shutting my mouth closed for more entertainment :)

Thanks for the compliments and the feedback! It's came a long way since I got thise Supra.

I think it's a great time to upgrade the Supra with more and more track-oriented parts for highway rocket build...

I copped these Motegi Racing Tracklite wheels for a hefty price tag of V$ 3000, since I decided to shed weight on wheels while getting structurally sound than the previous 3-piece wheel setup.

The treadwear of those performance tires are really awful, but I had to get it. Copped the BFGoodrich G-Force Sport and installed for V$ 1500.

The SSR SP1 wheel already found its way to another happy customer for V$ 2500. So long partner!

The most essential update today is the new coilover setup and the new alignment.

The TEIN Super Circuit coilover setup I ordered few weeks ago arrived under Mr. Lee's name.

Actually I've been using the SCALE coilover setup which came along with the Supra, but I think it is more focused on Amerian tracks, not the Korean touge.

Well I wasn't fully convinced with the overall quality of it, so I just decided to invest on the "proper" suspension setup.

Several more components should be also replaced, so the test drive won't be done until it's finished.

The used SCALE coilovers were sold for V$ 1000 to a drift missile owner.

The ride height, damper settings have been readjusted and I hope the tires won't bump the inner wheel house cover anymore.

Stay tuned for next update :)

New Daily Again

It's been a week since I did some updates to the Supra!

And thinking about using Tico as a shop van and the 180SX for the daily was a bit too overkill for the Korean roads that I drive every day.

Even this R34 has some issues going over the speed bumps and the parking lots.

It's not an issue when driving a straight city roads without any issues since there are almost no potholes just like Japan.

It just makes me smile when I step on the throttle, and some random guys notice my R34 on the streets, saying it's a car from FnF. JDM is a flex here.

Well, 180SX was a bit too "aged" and compact for normal daily use, so I brought this quirky thing from Germany.

Yup, it's the E39 M5. A legit one with green plates, meaning it was owned by one person for a long time. That's a good sign.

It has typical US amber-colored reflectors on each headlights, meaning this is meant to be sold in the US market but also officially sold in Korea.

Most of the M cars here are a slightly modified US versions of the BMW. No issues from that. Well I prefer Euro version but that's near impossible to find.

The interior was in pretty decent shape, but it had that E39 problem which causes pixelated cluster warning signs. Well that's not a big issue.

It had about 150,xxx miles on the gauge, and the speedometer was a US version, which could cause trouble when I convert those miles into km when the car needs to be inspected every 2 years.

But I decided to think about that later.

The V8 engine shows typical wear and tear, and needed some maintenance of course. It's a BMW and I was expecting all sorts of leaks and issues.

The E39 OEM wheels were not here, instead there were sets of "fake" HRE spoked wheels which looks not bad after all. But I am not a big fan of fake wheels.

The tyres were also a bit used and needed to be replaced.

The brake discs look okay and the suspension arm joints and the pads needed to be double checked again.

I assume more and more engine-related problems would show up, but 11K will help fixing those issues with his BMW E36 knowledge.

The US-sized trunk part just gives this was a US (Or Korean) Market variant. Thankfully the previous owner didn't bother to modify the exhaust.

I paid the previous owner the low sum of V$ 10,000 (which was a pretty good deal) and headed straight to the garage, lending 11K my R34 to get the wheels and put it on his S15.

With further inspections, it was just a normal, typical E39 with E39 problems but it's M5.

Nothing big issue like chassis or big engine failure was not here. I was pretty lucky :)

This Is Not An April Fool's Joke

Finally the carbon panels for the Supra has arrived and it was not a cheap part either.

Took some fabrication and time to readjust all the gaps and the holes that should be drilled... And 11K helped me a lot through this process.

Also, I am pushing the legal limit to the extreme by replacing the existing headlight into the air inlet holes with the light bulbs embedded into it.

It was a replica of the GT500 Supra headlights back when A80 was still running through the cicuit. It looks not bad either :)

And the bumpers were all carbon fiber and I got rid of the side blinker lights since Korean law didn't really require the side blinker lights back then.

Fitted all the parts, and cleaned the car lightly, and I headed outside for a brief night drive.

I borrowed some P Zero tires from Mr. Lee and did some custom paintings like Nakai-San did when he sprayed 'Idlers' logo on the tires.

Not the best result but it does worth the look.

Overall the car looks much different than I first got this car fully redone. Now it feels like a race car, rather than a street car.

Anyway, huge thanks to all of the lads for the motivation and inspiration for the build :)

Now it's a race car indeed! :D All that carbon is setting you back way too much but damn, now that thing should just fly haha. Logos on the tires really add some racecar vibe to it. Headlights look quite tiny though, i hope it won't be a problem to drive at night.

It's been few days since I was out of the car scene due to my personal schedule and stuff going on, but I managed to put some more effort on the Supra lately.

For now, I just got these new pair of shoes for the Supra.

Yes, I got the new pairs of TE37SL for V$ 3500, selling the MR401 wheels for V$ 5000 to local community race enthusiast.

Well he really wanted those lightweight 5-spoke wheels, so I had to offer him a little more, but it worked ;)

While the Supra was doing its own good by providing immense power and carbon aesthetics, my ER34 still looks OEM-ish despite having the Top Secret hood.

It's now staying in the garage to get more ideas of how this ER34 build will be.

It was supposed to be a drift car but I decided to make a highway rocket no. 2 of my fleet.

Still, fitting another carbon parts for this will not come in the near future though.

For my daily E39, I got these used pairs of hotboi Agle Strusse wheels from the help of 11K (thanks man!) and fitted with new Direzza tires.

Now it looks more like a VIP car rather than normal German sports saloon :)

Speaking of daily, my 180SX has been repainted white once again, don't ask me why, I just wanted to have white 180SX again :)

Since the E39 is doing its task as a daily driver so well, I decided to give the 180SX a chance to be a grassroot drift car.

Got the used tires and the steel wheels from Mr. Lee in the garage and took off the front lips which I think it needs to be saved before breaking into pieces.

The snow drifting session from Noriyaro gave me a heavy influence, and it actually not bad!

Some might think it looks like a ghetto mobile, but I don't think so :)

TE37s fit everywhere!! However i'd paint them all black or white, they would look so much better on your Supra. Are you sure about drifting your 180 though? It's way too clean, especially now after the respray! M5 looks amazing with the new shoes too, Agle Strusse gang! :D

Also great wheel choice for the E39, definitely makes it look younger and adds more luxury factor :D
