Well, I guess it was a perfect time to grease up my Supra, so I headed to the local express highway...

It still looks nice :)

Before I headed, I went to local Japanese udon place to get some nice little dinner.

It really shows good stability on high speeds like 200km/h range, but I think I could go 300km/h range easily if I tweak the settings more I guess.

Your Supra is just pure sex man, I really hope you will bring this thing to Japan once again, we need to go for a ride together and do a photo shoot of our cars! 300'KM/H should be easily achieved with your setup, but no matter what car you drive, such speed is ain't no joke, completely another world than going 200 or so..

Yeah you could troll the Skyline meet in september lol. Mackay's right, your Supra is beautiful and 300 km/h is definitely no joke! I think i went around 250 once with my R32 (still had the stock gauges lol) and it was quite intense!

Thank you guys for the compliments and nice comments!

I think I am really an indecisive person. The Works9 bodykit surely looks awesome, but I miss those retro vibes on this car. So I did it again.

I sold those expensive FD50S for V$ 4500, and picked up those used P1s and 57Cs for V$ 1500.

It was a nice set of wheels, but it wasn't really for racing or drifting. I prefer lightweight wheels.

The Works9 full bodykit, 180SX front fenders and lights ASSY (including the fenders) was sold, with the price tag of V$ 1500.

Picked up those used OEM fenders, OEM front bumper, K's Aero style side skirts and Rear bumper with 240SX Canadian-spec style lips for V$ 1500.

The bits for the front bumper was included but it wasn't installed yet.

Now, I have to get some more OEM parts for the PS13 front-end conversion...

Because I took out the rear wide fenders, I had to do some work on the rear fenders and it needs some more work I guess.

Also, I have to get the hood, lights and K's Aero front bumper if possible.

If Mr. Lee finds out that I was attempting to swap the front "Again", he will probably gonna run me over with his car.

I was lucky enough to get the rare S13 Aero Bumper today. It costed me hefty price of V$ 600, but it did worth it.

It all included the black bumper grill and the pair of amber blinker lights. Getting those separately would have been much more difficult.

The front "Brick" lights, OEM grill and a pair of blinkers costed about V$ 550. I wanted to get the projected ones, but I should search for more.

Well new old stocks are virtually impossible to find these days, even if I live right next to Japan, so getting used parts and polishing it like new was necessary.

The license plate holes for the front bumper barely matches the actual holes of the license plate, so I had to place it on my dashboard for now. I've worked on these Aero bumpers before and it was not a hard work, but kinda tedious.

Also, I could salvage a stock OEM hood from Suwon, for V$ 350. It didn't have any issues and it all fitted pretty well.

The hardest was the grill. Those small details are so important, yet so hard to maintain. Probably one of the hardest part to get.

When I had to take off the rear wide fenders, I had to do it really carefully, because I didn't want to fuck things up.

Well it kinda ended up doing lots of putty work and welding, grinding, and sloppy spray painting.

I refitted the rear reflectors for USDM look and of course for safety reasons.

So, now the 240SX look like this, like a typical drift missile, but it definitely will be repainted soon. And of course more stickers to the window.

The Good And The Bad.

I decided to paint the S13 into JDM two-tone "Bluish-silver" color, since seafoam green and ivory-gold color was exactly not my style.

It took a while to recreate the OEM feeling, and it eventually came out really great.

I had to replace the Aero bumper into the stock S13 bumper beforehand due to several reasons. Also, the trim pieces of the Silvia were basically impossible to find, so we had to recreate it through masking and painting the exact section black.

... Just like this. Well, I replaced the lightweight wheels into R33 stock wheels when it went into the painting room, but I guess I could hold onto those for a while.

Many people now know that I am a sticker junkie, so I put some of my recent collections to the 240SX. Also, the gear knob was replaced as well, with a nice little touch of the cup holder and the drink I had last week.

The rear windshield was also covered with stickers.

Well, it could be just a typical progress to my build, but something unfortunate happened while I was away.

Well, it was found with right fender bent and recklessly deformed, and front right coilovers were destroyed. I have no idea who did this over night, but it was partially my fault that I didn't install any of the dashcams, which is really common in Korea.

Thankfully only the coilovers and the joints were gone, and the front end was slightly misaligned. If the front end was totalled, I would have just scrapped this car, but luckily it survived.

I was shocked and kinda heartbroken at what happened during the night hit-and-run incident. Time to tell cops about it.

I really like the subtle two tone on the 240! R33 wheels complete the OEM look as well, aero bumper would look better though but i guess it would be too low.

Good luck with your 180 man, hope that there's not much damage so you can fix it soon! :)

Thank you guys for the comments! I am slowly working on my 180SX and the most frustrating thing is getting the OEM parts.

Since the car is out of production for over 2 decades and this particular 180SX is almost stock, which makes it harder.

I got a pair of OEM fender from salvaged red 180SX which I ordered a week ago from Japan, costing about V$ 250. Getting spare parts is really important.

It wasn't a hard task to replace the old fender and put the "new" one in. The hardest part was fitting it perfectly like the crash never happened.

The pop up headlights sounds a tad bit different from before, but it is working at least. I have to check that later.

The bumper latch on the right side was warped, but it looks okay I guess.

The battery was kinda dying at this moment so I had to replace it. I bought it for V$ 300 including the anti-corrosion washers.

It was really lucky that the radiator wasn't blown and nothing critical in chassis was all okay. Well the shocks have to be replaced though.

The car gave the wonky feeling when I go over the bump, especially on the front.

I might have to repaint the fender someday. It's kinda sad to see my 180SX becoming like a drift missile.

I guess it is time for transformation? Who knows :)

Don't worry, it doesn't look like a missile with just 1 mismatched panel lol. And yeah, check the front right suspension, especially the alignment. Your 180 still looks very clean but you might as well give it a makeover! :D

It's been a long way since the S13 was repainted. I wanted to give it a little spice to the S13, so I traded the MK1 and MK2 into full set of MK3.

This was also a rebarreled one, 16-inch size and it was really hard to find. I wanted other color, but orange seems not bad at all I guess.

I recycled the 4-lug discs from 180SX and it actually fits pretty well. 5-lugs are now in the storage again.

I always make bold decisions when it comes to simplicity and OEM look. The lips and the side skirts were taken off. I guess it looks cleaner than before.

Also, I got the stock style single tip mufflers for V$ 250. The previous one made too much sound and neighbors were complaining about it. :(

Now the car sits nicely like this.

I think the two-tone was really nice choice.

Cleaning Things Up

The 240SX Coupe build turned out really great and it will probably be the "casual drift" build during the nighttime.

I felt the 180SX also needed some care and attention, so I did some of the detail work during few days.

The front right fender has been carefully repainted, and I cleaned some dust, dirt and leaves stuck beneath the panels and the bumper.

Especially getting rid of over-a-decade old dust and grime was a pain in the ass.

I decided to take off the Type-X side skirts and the rear valance. Of course the dust and dirt somehow got inside between them.

It's lucky that the panel didn't show any signs of rust or corrosion. It would have been a disaster if there were any.

It feels like the car is somehow getting into its original state when I brought it over, but oh well ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

If anyone wants the Type-X side skirts and the valance, just send me a message.

Now it's time for cleaning the interior. I think it took like an hour to vacuum, wet cleaning the fabrics, and refurbishing the plastic trims.

Oh, the Bride bucket seats are gone and stock seats are back, since I wanted some comfy seats for the daily driver.

Putting bucket seats on every car I own was a bad idea. My back and bum suffered a lot from long distance driving.

The interior now looks much cleaner than before.

...And you've probably noticed that the ride height was changed. Lifting a bit helps a lot actually.

Slamming a daily driver, like real low was painful, but raising a bit makes me much more relaxed and comfortable.

I had some time to get a can of coffee from the vending machine near the shop.

It now looks like those lower trim level 180SX (Like Type R or Type G). It feels like restoring rather than modifying.

Just a little update. Swapped those Chuki OEM wheels into Type-X wheels which were lying around in the storage, which somehow makes it "period-correct".

It's really lightweight, and has barely any safety features, which makes spirited driving much more entertaining!

Those pop-up lights look really good, a clear evidence of 20th century.

Also, further details on this pop-up buddy later on. :)
