Did Someone Say Hyundai?

Today I met my friend who owns the "Zenki" Genesis Coupe. It's a KDM 380GT-R Trim which has the 3.8 V6 engine and the manual 6-speed transmission.

Also, the car is Lime Rock Green, which is pretty rare in Korea. Most of the Coupes here are white, grey or black.

As you can see, the car has been pretty modified, because he also participates in Korean Drift Festival.

He installed the 326Power Brake System and the Hydraulic Brake Lever. He also uses Toyo R888 Tires.

Nardi Steering Wheel and the red Bride BRIX Seats look really good in his car.

He installed the gauges too far, since there wasn't enough room.

From the back, the trunk duck-tail spoiler was added, and the dual exhaust system was replaced to Kakimoto single exhaust setting, but with silencers.

Not bad to own one of these in Korea. It is becoming cheaper and most of the parts are still available at low prices.

Actually (depending on RP rules) I may know where you could buy one.

(If RP rules allow); A friend may have a hack job of a 240 lying at my garage (Not based on anything in particular, just a build of 240 I had as a save car in-game for a while, that combined many different styles; drift, time attack, shakotan, etc).

(If RP rules don't); Hope you find one, also I sort of want one.

Added 2 minutes later:

(If so); It's cream. And Black. And Red. And primered on some panels. With a spoiler on the bottom of its rear bumper. And a Diffuser. And some random wheels. And a blown SR.

(If not); It'll appear in the RP and you'll see it.

Some of my friends came over to the garage to see what I bought this time. Usually I don't tell them, but this was a special one, so I called them and take a look at what I brought.

This 180, is what I bought for only V$ 5500. I was really lucky to get one, because this one had green license plates, which means it was imported at least 15 years ago.

Yes, it is old, but buying a registered vehicle rather than picking up from another countries is much, much better.

Typical Chuki HICAS Trim, Faded red, 5-Lug conversion with S14 wheels, SR20 N/A with 5-speed Manual. Not bad for the price.

It has some scratches on the side and the front bumper, but it doesn't matter.

The car was originally registered in Incheon, a port city. I have a choice to replace this into the white one, but I decided not to.

These green plates mean something in Korea.

Since my friends were here, I brought some of drinks (obviously non-alcohol) to chat about the cars and stuff.

Fuzzy dice decoration. So 90s. The steering wheel is from USDM 240SX, but it will be replaced anyway.

# KondzixsPL : Stock-ish. Rare af.
(I've got some overfenders that would fit, hmu if you need'em. -50%)

It was easier to find the stock one here in Korea due to strict rules.

You have to declare the DMV every time you install something to the car.

I am keeping it stock for a moment. Thank you for the offer tho.

# Jfernando1 : It looks great externally as is. Clean 240, /Soju.

Thanks. I want to keep it clean just like last time.

# Zero : Ohh Budget. Well maybe you could try making a K-Style bumper? Just cut out a hole thats all haha

I will try that later when I get another Chuki bumper. Thanks.

I headed to the local mountain road for the test drive. It definitely lacks power than the Supra or the G8, but it does its job flawlessly.

The car came with the Toyo R888 tires. It handles the grip really well. The tires looked not so old, so I decided to use until it wears out.

The uphill course was fairly challenging. As I mentioned earlier, it lacked the power.

However, the downhill was a whole different story. It is fairly lightweight, and I almost slipped the car sideways, and the brakes were not much powerful.

Probably the first priority will be the brake replacement.

Well, I sold my G8 to my friend. He wanted it so bad and I was running low on cash. Instead, I decided to focus on the PS13.

First, the brakes. Second, the suspension.

Yes, it is lowered quite a lot. I found a used set of HKS Hipermax Sport set for V$ 1200 (Hard to find a decent one).

The brake discs and the calipers are also replaced to VTTR Racing ones. It came from Taiwan, and it only costed about V$ 600.

Also, the front rubber lips were added.

+ V$ 12000 (G8)
- V$ 1200 (Coilover)
- V$ 600 (Brakes)
- V$ 100 (Lips)
Total V$ 10855

The RPS13 is great, I really like the OEM style with the S14 wheels and such. If you wanted to change them, they could be rebarreled, or be replaced by teardrops.

Also are you going to change them, if so, can I have them for <50V$.

Thank you guys. I prefer S14 5-spokes than Nissan teardrops :)

For about 3 days, I did a lot of stuff to the Supra. The red color is gone, and now it comes with Pearl White. (V$ 800)

Also, I wanted some lightweight wheels, so I traded the Rotiform ROC with Advan TC3 with extra bucks. I really like this 5-spoke design. (+ V$ 500)

Now the 2JZ gets the twin-turbo setup. (V$ 3500)

Used Greddy Twin-Turbo, with manifold and the intercooler was installed. I wanted to get the new one, but I wanted to save cost for now.

Big turbo comes with great responsibility. Stronger brakes were mandatory, so I went for Baer 6P/4P brake setup with large discs. (V$ 2500)

Also, the stock exhaust was replaced to Kakimoto ones, but with the silencers on. My neighbors would kill me if I drive this monster without it. (V$ 600)

Total V$ Spent (V$ 6900)
Paycheck (V$ 940)
Balance (V$ 4895)

I grabbed these nice sets of Alfa wheels for V$ 600. It was meant to fit on the Italian pasta machine, but it also looked good on my S13.

Few batches of Alfas and Lancias were imported during 90s in Korea, but did not sell well due to high costs.

I guess this wheel is from one of those salvaged Alfas. Now my car looks like a tomato.
