Hello, I am an engineer from Toronto, Canada and I have a great passion for cars. At the moment I am currently driving my Toyota GT86 to work. It is very boring to drive and doesn't really show any street cred. I hope you guys enjoy cars as much as I do :) .

Here are some photos of my GT86 when I bought it in the auctions over in Japan.

At the moment my car has the following upgrades:

    - Stock 2.0 Litre Engine + aem pod filter
    - AP Racing Brake Calipers
    - Brembo 300m Rotors

Yes, my car is pretty stock due to work occupying me.

Nonetheless, here are my plans for the car:

    - DRIFT CAR :awesome:

So far I'm pretty good on money and just want to make sure I get the new mods in correctly and I'll have to look around Toronto for a shop to work in.

No harm done. The previous owner swapped out the faulty boxer with this semi-new i4. I forgot to mention it.. my bad :)

Nonetheless, I got some work done tonight.
I parked my car at my buddies shop and we pulled the engine out together.
Obviously the car isn't running at the moment so I will have to take the subway to work.

I traded him my old motor for a used SR20 engine. I will post pictures of the new motor once I finish my building assignment.

Gutted 86 :( :

Right now I just want the car faster and as cheap as possible. My income at work is more than substantial, but as an Asian guy I want to save every penny I can

Next Steps:
- New Motor in
- Choo choo power
- ???
- Profit!

@David_2709 That sounds like a great idea, but I'll consider that in the future. @Crazy Eighty Eight Hey 88, nice to meet you.

Added 2 minutes later:

The motor came in! I'm thinking of relocating the battery to the trunk for more space in the bay.

1 Hour Later:
Battery has been relocated successfully! Thanks to my friend for the free used battery B)

The engine is in! It took a while due to work conflicting with my schedule.

Me and my friend Karen installed:
- Enjuku Racing SR20 Motor Mounts (200 V$)
- SR20DE Motor (Received in trade for stock 4-cylinder)
- Extra Labor (1500 V$)

Big shout out to Club 6IX for welding the plumbing (ON THE HOUSE!)

I've already gone for a test ride and I really enjoy how smooth and great sounding it is.

I intend on making the engine faster by installing more mods to support the motor.

Here's my 86 looking all purty with the new engine :awesome:

Hello everyone. It has been a while (Out of Context: I have been busy with my career and haven't had the time to play).

Last time I posted I was in the middle of working on my Toyota GT86. I swapped in a Nissan SR20de; which was lightly used. I had intended for the car to be used as a daily and drift car, however, I do not feel interested in said project anymore and have decided to give the car to a trusted family member.

Perhaps someday I will pick up the project and continue where I left off.

Now for the GOOD STUFF.

Here's a little backstory (Feel free to skip this :)),

Back in high-school the first car I ever owned was a 2005 Toyota Celica GTS. I bought it for $5,000 CAD and I had a lot of aspirations for it. I drove and modified it when I was 16 years old and parted ways with it when I graduated. After graduation I drove the GT86 my parents bought for me. I drove it to work for a short term and wanted to feel the nostalgia of my first car again.

I couldn't find the Celica I owned years back so I searched on Autotrader; a Canadian car listing site.

I found this nugget for 1000 V$. It looks like a ball of dirt, but now I have a high paying career, so anything is possible.

The car runs really rough and has been treated very poorly. It does not have a accident history and isn't e-tested. To put simply, this car does not pass Canada's safety regulations.

As of now I know the car is rust proof as most panels were swapped from various celicas and the underbody was rustproofed by the Toyota dealership back in 2010.

My goals are to get it road worthy and legal to drive again.

Check the spoiler for photos of this gem!

A couple of things were achieved while i was working on the Celica this weekend.

I got replacement parts for the car:
- Version 2 front bumper (V$ 200)
- Gas Door (V$ 50)
- Front left fender (V$ 300)
- Left Side mirror (V$ 45)
- Rear stock bumper (V$ 200)
- stock rear wing (V$ 350)
- Stock toyota celica gts five star rim (V$100)
I decided to get replacement parts for the car because I didn't want to modify it too heavily without having a solid chassis to work on.

Performance upgrades:
- V-TEC (V$ Freebie)
- Skunk 2 street coilovers (V$ 1,800)
- Brembo 275mm slotted rotors + Calipers and pads (V$ 800)

Then I got the car primed at 6IX Garage in Toronto. The white parts were pre-primed when I bought them.
My first celica was black, but I didn't want it to be completely the same so I sprayed it Formula Red. It may be changed in the future when I do more body modifications.

I've decided to stop at this stage and use this car as a daily driver.

Hey guy's I have some exciting news. I just picked up a new drift car and spent big bucks to get it imported into Canada. Stay tuned for the whole gig.

Here's a picture of the car sent from Japan:
