Well Shit

I have some good news and some very very very bad fucking news.

Bad News first, some dick head taxi driver ran into me at an intersection and guess which car got the brunt of a Crown Vic ?

The GTR ? the 180 ? no my fucking recently finished Mustang, like the fuck how much bad luck is that ?

Now what happened ? Long story short some this dick head cabbie ran a stop sign and side swiped me coming out into the intersection, luckily it just happened to have some witnesses who helped me out with my claims, fortunately enough insurance is covering the payment of repairs.

I'm fine a little jostled but my car is all fucked up.

The damage ?

Well, a fucked up front left side ( Bumper, Fender, Headlight and Broken Hood Latch ), broken radiator and water reservoir, bent rim and that's just the visible damage I can see I still have to get a word back from the shop on any other damage.

So that worries me, but at least I'm safe.

Since the Mustang is out of commission, and the 180SX is my weekend driver the daily driver title falls to GTR, a little back story on that purchase.

I bought it as an impulse purchase I wanted it more than needed it and I guess that's the car guy way, its been a month going on 2 since I've owned it and I bought some new Vorsteiner rims and I never really drove it as much and I was thinking of just selling it, I'm used having cars built, working on them, having a car this advanced just isn't me but I guess now is time it'll grow on me, I mean its a R35 GTR who wouldn't it grow on, I had it cleaned and properly detailed since it's been hidden for some days, not gonna be driving a dirty car.

Looks stellar.

I'll leave the "good" for later.

Surprise!

Remember when I said I had some good news well, I guess this is good ? Right ?

I bought a new car ! A Lexus SC300 and its a hunk of shit.

1992 Lexus SC300

YEAR: 1992
MILEAGE: 278,830 miles
ENGINE: 3.0 2JZ-GE
TRANSMISSION: Manual 6-Speed
DRIVE TRAIN: RWD
EXTERIOR COLOR: Maroon
INTERIOR COLOR: Faded Black
CONDITION: Pure Garbage

Why This ?

I've actually been looking for a new car I can work on, something fresh and in a new direction and stumbled upon this said car from my home town as a salvage title, and why not a salvage title car, yes the SC300 is a salvage title but its not that bad actually a few dings here and there but its in good shape, and it being a fucked up car I got it extremely cheap V$1,610, I had a friend of mine back home survey the car for me and once I got his word I solidified the purchase and had him get the car trailer-ed over of CA, the expense really was dirt cheap and given the direction I'm gonna go with its gonna be pretty budget based.

Whats the plan ?

Firsts thing first, fuck the 2J thats the first thing thats going once I prepare for a full strip down, I not putting money into it because I already have an alternative an LS1, I've had my LS sitting around after I sold the FRS as a shell to David some months back and the heart just hasn't been used since so why not resurrect it in a new body its a reliable and cheap way to make tons of power and who doesn't love the thunderous roar of a V8 I may need to go look for a T56 Trans, I want to make this a drift car whether it be a missile or style car, some of you guys are always at it so why let you guys hog all the fun. I want to make the car street legal just for the "SCUM BAG STATUS", whatever ideas you guys suggest I would be glad to get your input on it.

First Thing Done

While I still have the old space I purchased I stored the car there and spent my weekend gutting the thing removing everything and doing some automotive archaeology, it was like bio-hazard in there, the car was full of gunk and mildew the interior just had to go, I also need to remove the motor and check the car for any rust before I start doing anything else I don't want to half ass this, I need to get this car down to its shell and have the entire thing powerwashed it just needs to be rid of its old life, I was able to clean off the dirt that sat when the car was in the yard but it needs to be fully cleaned, it's running gear inspected and if they're good have the car put back together and start making a parts list.

This is the beginning of something crazy and a great way to start the holidays and the upcoming new year, it begins.

V$26,730.52 - V$2,110.00

check what transmission that is - you mentioned it being a 6 speed so it more than likely is a V160/161, might be worth a good amount of money. Car looks clean though!

The car has had a swap to the V160 6 speed from its orginal W55 5 speed sometime in its life, and given the price of the 6 speeds these days I'm gonna say that swap was pretty early in its life as well the service history or what was left of it anyway shows it had a service back in 2000 and nothing else.

Idk I may keep it for a while and just sell the engine but it was a neat find actually.

A 2J is way to expensive to build and with an LS I can make the same amount of power in a mild build N/A LS for less than a single turbo mild built 2J, I want a consistent powerband and something reliable, IK LS swaps are lame since they're in everything but I already have a good motor available and with minor mods and a tune can make a shit ton of power.

And as the old adage goes:

"Ain't no replacement for displacement"

I'm definitely getting that stickered on the car.

# Sleepin mOnkey : go junkyard digging, you'd easily will find a t5 and ls by cheap.

I already have a LS1 from a previous project, and compared to other transmissions the T56 is pretty cheap depending on where it came from since it came in both Chevys and Fords (Just the Cobra). So I guess I could get on for a decent price what I do need to get is the motor mounts and a driveline.

BY THE WAY

This isn't related to any build but I need to mention the Mustang, I got back a full analysis on the damage and shit its doozy.

The control arms are fucked an Air Bag blew along with the sensor the shock absorber is bent, the front frame has also bent but not by much to be considered majorly serious, my left exhaust manifold was as also bent so the entire engine was removed just to make sure there isn't any major damage with it. I got this picture of the car and it made me shed a manly tear, look at my baby all wounded.

I'm expecting an estimate and I pray to Lord Almighty Steve McQueen its in the bounds of my coverage.

Lil' Updates

The SC300 is in the process of being properly stripped and by properly I mean the removal of the sound deadening and body panels I have yet to get the engine removed so I can inspect the engine bay and:

# Jfernando1 : Wait so; you'll have a spare 1JZ?

If so; may I purchase it (in RP)?

It's a 2JZ-GE and I may have to inspect that as well since the car has been sitting for years so the engine is probably full of gunk and bile so lemme atleast give it a tear down and clean first before I hand it to you, I am however keeping the Transmission.

I took a pic of the dry ice breaking apart the sound deadening an the inside of the car just looked like a bog its my first time doing this and it looked cool asf.

And the 180 has gotten some love nothing major just minor shit.

I took off the two tone vinyl to get back that stock clean look, I also took off the trim and the wing just because and shout out to Soju for making me want to go back stock form, his 180 is so cool all stock looking so why not, stock 180s and 240s are rare as shit so my baby has joined the fold, what has been added is a splitter and canards, I think it looks cool on the car even if its not functional it's still a nice little detail to go with my new wheels, 17x10 White CST Hyper Zeros all wrapped together with some Lewd Slappies (-w-), I don't want to do anything drastic with this car really its just a

I made the Octopussy slap if you want one hmu

And before I forget I had the upholstery changed "again" but this time something tame and by tame I mean BRIDE interior all out, I even had my OG seats done up:

I'll never stop loving this car or stop spend money on her.

Project 2018

Now this year is gonna be epic as shit, I have a few things planned and few places to go but first lets talk about "De Builds"

Now the SC300 has been on a full tear down its basically a shell right now, I've checked the entire car for any signs of rust and lo and behold there isn't any but there was a a shit load of mold and algae built up in the engine bay but it was nothing a power washer couldn't fix, next I need to get all the suspension off and starting making the list of parts I need for the rebuild, for now the car is as naked and bare as it could get.

I also took apart the motor for a rebuild since its been sitting for way to long, I plan to get a new cam, new valve springs, a Fast LSX intake with new fuel lines and injectors, longtube headers and the usual new head covers nothing major just enough to make manageable power N/A, may not do forced induction because to me that might be overkill.

This build is gonna be thorough all the way through.

Now on to the normal rides

I have given the GTR a new look nothing to extreme:

Work Emotion CR 2P GT Silver 19"

HK Style Carbon Fiber Front Lip

C-West FRP Side Skirts

Varis FRP Rear Diffuser

Just sprucing it up a bit I've been driving it much more often and I decided to make it look good I sold the Vorsteiners and bought the Works instead, its a better fit in period correctness, I mean a Japanese combo what can go wrong ?

For the past few weeks it has been my daily since the Mustang has been out of commission and have been thinking of selling the Mustang entirely or renting it out, I mean I have too much cars to manage I'm running myself dry with my spending habits and I think I may to consider those options.

The 180SX however goes in 2018 unchanged and it would stay that way I'm contented with how it is, Type-X gang all the way !

And finally after 3 months of work and a whole shit load of spending the Corrado is finally finished and I shall reveal it at a later date but heres a peak of the monster:

Yes it spits hell fire.

This year is gonna be electric

Crazy Part: 3

The Corrado has had a bit, well a lot of changes since I've bought it back in July and this is its final form.

So does it earn the "Crazy Status", oh yeah it does.

This is gonna be a long update

The car has had a complete overhaul nothing on this car is left untouched, now lets go down the list shall we.

Engine

Starting from a humble G60 Supercharged PG motor I upgraded to the engine that I always wanted in this car the VR6, I had the engine fully built, block and head has been ported by 2mm, new crank, new pistons and con rods, cams, new MK4 R32 Golf Valves and high performance valve springs new injectors with a high performance fuel rail and tbh I never knew VR6 parts were so affordable I mean it was costly but way less than the K20 build I did a while back, with all this parts they need to be pushed to the limit and how else can they be pushed ? Forced Induction, but not just 1 turbo, but 2 turbos.

The turbo setup on this is a twin turbo built on the idea of a sequential system a Borg Warner Airwerks S300SX3 60mm for low rpms while the other is a Garrett GTX4294R 70mm for high rpms, the cooling setup is a custom Air to Water intercooler system which is superior to the usual air to air intercooler and it was easier to make this setup fit compared to an Air to Air setup since I had no space for a big intercooler but I did keep my AC.

Drivetrain

Before I get to the power output I gotta discuss the drivetrain there is only one guess and if you thought about it, you guessed correctly; an AWD syestem thanks to a transmission and transfercase from a MK4 R32 Golf GTI matted to a MK5 R32 Golf GTI limited slip differential which I got for a reasonable price with a Stage 2 Autotech Clutch and Light Weight Fly Wheel, and with this combo it retains a ton of power, but I had to get a N2MB WOT Box 2 Step and No Lift Shift system to reduce the chance of missing gears and damaging my transmission, it also grants me the ability to never lift off the gas inbetween shifts to keep in boost and it is nuts plus with a 2 Step System.

Power

The car makes upwards to you know what I'll let the charts do the talking:

Yup @ 30psi [insert Jeremy Clarkson Screaming Power] I have yet to run it on E85 I've chosen just to keep it on pump gas so I may get the car tuned and run on E85 soon so I can expect death defying power readings but even as it is the car spins all 4 wheel in 2nd gear which is just mental I literally almost shit myself testing the 2 Step:

It is insane.

Running Gear

The running gear is basically the same I had before, the D2 coilovers stiffened and the car lowered but I changed the bearings, knuckles and bushings on the trailing arms and had new stiffer sway bars mounted, what has been changed completely was the brakes, I sold the Ferrari brakes and with the earnings bought a set of 4 Pot Brembo Calipers and Slotted Discs you've already seen the rims and tyres 17 x 10 White Fifteen 52 Tarmacs wrapped in Toyo R888s.

Exterior

The color is something close to what I painted the Mustang but it shows up green at night and grey in the day, I replaced the lip spoiler with a larger more aerodynamic one, the headlights changed to projecters and the active aero spoiler I replaced with a carbon fiber version, the car still retains the 80s era hood bra and not to mention the exhaust sticking out the left fender with some tasteful flamed aluminum shielding.

Interior

I wanted the car to be useable as a drivers car while still being a "race car", I had the sound deadening taken out and an Eight Point cage installed which adds to vehicle rigidity, I managed to keep atleast 40% of the interior intact. I bought a Momo racing wheel and some cheap but comfortable reupholstered racing seats with racing harnesses. You may be wondering about the LED screen, I'm using a Haltech ECU but to get accurate readings I had it wired and programmed through my media player to be displayed through the retractable screen making it act as a stealth data display logger when necessary.

This is the final stage of the Corrado there's nothing else I can possibly do to it all I could do now is use it to its full potential and probably try not to die whilst doing that.

Ik this update was long but I wanted to get into detail every piece thats been done on it since VR6 builds aren't so common, this is one build down another round of pocket raping to go.

Woah! That's a lot of power. Never thought I'd see a built Corrado.
And this might be weird but.... could you sell me two LA plates by any chance? They would be for the Civic build. Makes it more period correct.

(OOC: Where did you get that gear/rpm screen mod? or is it with the corrado?)

So I have had a few issues, Major issues.

So in my absence a few things happened, my 180SX was stolen, my Corrado broke and I sold my Mustang.

First yes you've read correctly my 180 "was" stolen last week but I got it back before anything extremely drastic happened to it, what happened was I went to a party with some co-workers when I got back to where I parked, my car was gone, I got a notice posted and by a miracle my car was spotted 3 days after in a town over, the car caught was in the process of being stripped 2 guys were held and justice has been served so I'm glad I got it back, but its not what it was anymore, the wheels, lights, seats and body parts are already gone so now I gotta get some replacements I have the car sitting on S14 Wheels at the warehouse so she's not looking to well.

I need to get an alarm and a tracker installed.

The Corrado has broken but not anything severe that's engine breaking but I happened to snap the timing chain so now the car is at the shop making sure nothing has went wrong when the chain snapping.

So she's out as well.

"Don't have any pics of her all laid up"

The Pony is gone which I'm sad about I mean it was the third Mustang I've owned in the the pony car lineup and the most nuts but I just had to let it go, I mean the rebuild was covered I just wanted something new to work on like the SC300 and Corrado wasn't enough, and I've already bought a new car, no I didn't get a S550 but something nice and decent and something to get me back into drifting while the SC300 is being built here's a look, make a guess what it is, its a bit obvious:

Now this is the worst news I've ever reported it with but it will and shall get better I've been up to some shit and I gotta report on it:

This and whatever happens would be on the next update.

WE ARE NOT PERVERTS!!
