So its been a long long time since my last update or news from the mustang but here it is....

Operation 6.0

Few weeks ago (Befour we even though to go to LA) I came across a website of one garage that gets cars from insurance companies that are sentenced to death and that garage legaly parts those cars out and sell the parts. I found a 599 GTB Fiorano Ferarri that had the engine left only and called them. The engine price was V$6500 whit their delivery to Oklahoma.

And then Lagano said why not do more changes to the look cause the car will perform better and then it stroke me Shelby GT500 face!!!
Found on internet a full GT500 kit (headlights, bumpers, side skirts and hood) for V$1000......

And now to the most expencive cosmetics change...... OEM Saleen wing, honestly I had to go for it cause I love the way that wing sits. It costed only V$750 and then there is the 6.0 Badge that I had 3D printed at one shop for V$350 and Straight pipe exhaust sistem that was quite cheap (Only needed the rear section straight pipe) V$350....

So the total cost on the mustang is V$8950...I will see to make some videos in the future...

Hey guys, it's been a while!

So, some things happened during that time, obviously. You can see that our Lexus finally got a new paintjob, we did that around a week ago. The purple colour of that bodykit we got from the junkyard was pretty cool, but we chose to paint it in a darker shade.

We also removed some lights from the front bumper because weight reduction bro! :P

3Style decided to get another daily, so he sold his 240SX, its new owner is JdmSly. We got only V$5000 for it since JdmSly was almost broke, so he gave us some parts, including this legit R34 GTR wing. This is just a test fit so i could make some photos of how it looks.

So what do you guys think of a R34 wing on a R32? Feel free to tell your opinion! :)

By the way, i have to thank Tyretear for helping me find a bday present for Benjamin! I know him since i bought his RX7, and not to forget he has also set up a little meeting in Japan recently. Skip was also there, they were talking about going to different countries because he was thinking about trying a different car scene. When Tyretear heard that, he mentioned our team here in the USA! Skip liked the idea so he gave us a call and said that he's coming in a while. ;)

Sup guys.
The first thing 3Style wanted to do with the 180 was lowering it, so he bought some Megan Racing coilovers right away. Even if he doesn't have any plans for it yet these coils are good for the track and the street, so it was a good choice. Right after we installed them, Skip turned up in front of our garage! He was really impressed by the 180 and my R32, but he was so jet lagged that he didn't even see the rest of our rides, he just needed some sleep after his long trip from Japan.

As you can see, the 180 already has plates too. The seller gave them with it, he was planning to register it since it just became 25 years old. I also decided to keep the R34 wing on the R32, so i already painted it and fitted it on the trunk for good, so now there are 3 Skylines in 1. :P

Meanwhile our dragster got some more weight reduction! Now i'm looking for a racing seat and steering wheel, i'll also need a roll cage built in.

Moving back to the 180, it has a SR20DE redtop like 3Styles previous S13. It's really clean from the inside and outside, however i wonder how the car is still in such good condition....

...because the tires are so bad that when we went on a test drive, we went sideways too easily!! At least we had a lot of fun, and as far as i know 3Style he won't change the tires very soon. :D

Skip said that his S13 is coming too. This will be already the third 180SX in Ardmore but i'm still excited to see it. :)

Hi guys,

As you know I've just joined Side to Side, so I decided to post for once lol
So as this is my first car in the USA, I wanted something Japanese but also a touch of American with a V8.
I ended up buying a Lexus SC400 with a 2UZ for V$1,750. (Original price, ad taken down)

It has bits of rust here and there and needs a wash but other than that it seems to be ok, for now anyway.
I'll post more later.

Hey guys,

I haven't posted in a while but it's for a good reason;
The 180 has changed a good bit since I last posted.
Its now in America, not registered yet, and currently in STS garage.
The total changes are: A new paintjob, set of rims, new bodyparts and a new exhaust which I will post tomorrow, if I remember.

In the previous week spent a lot hours sanding the 180SX and doing all the metal work to fix all the dents. Once it was all sanded and the dented rear panels straightened I started laying primer on it.

After 4 days in the paint shop, the car arrived yestrday and it was gorgeous! I decided to go plain purple on it and I wasn't wrong. Right After the arrival we jumped on to the assembly. There are still few bits missing but they will be fit to the car tomorrow.
Then, I put on the Impul Silhouettes I bought from David_2709.
I also bought A LOT more stickers on the way from Japan, so I will update when they come too.

The new bodyparts will be fit to the car tomorrow if I remember.

Here are the new parts that Skip mentioned: A set of overfenders to make his 180 even wider and a new exhaust, we put some more stickers on the windows too.

He'll have to be a little more careful when reversing. :D

As you might have seen in the previous update our Lexus got a roll cage! We went to Takeda Racing shop to get it done properly, just what we need for drag racing.

Chevelle will also get some goodies: First thing, new rims, brakes (it's hard to stop 900hp with drums lol) and maybe a suspension upgrade as well. We're in California at the moment so more info about that later. :)

#ProjectMX5

Benjamin bought this MX5 cause there's an engine laying around in our garage. We asked our neighbour in the paint shop if we could borrow a pickup and a trailer, he said that they won't need it for a few days so just enough to swap it in, so we did another long trip to LA.
# Facepalm : v6 swep it ololo
Yep, we will install a V6 from a Mustang we had a while ago, not the best engine but it has enough horses to power a Miata, for now at least. But like at every project, there is a problem. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ The Stang was an automatic, but the MX5 has 3 pedals! :P So now we need a clutch and a transmission that fits the V6 and the car itself.

Thanks to Benjamin and Nick the Miata already looks mean with the wide fenders and those even wider Watanabes. And of course thanks to Parker that gave us this project! More updates about the #ProjectMX5 when we complete the swap. :)

We had a blast on our trip to Japan!! As Phonexius told you we were in Osaka and visited Holeecrab and Ramalhinho07. We also met with FamousMan, hooned a bit on the parking lot and drank some sake. :D But before that i was at the famous Ebisu circuit with Boostio, Smokie and GoverNick. Lots of great cars were drifting there but we got most of the attention as soon as we arrived. It's hard to stand out in Japan but just look at these Lambos!!!

Even if the two Huracans turned more heads i still prefer older rides, especially Nick's Diablo SV with that pearl red colour. B)

We were just chilling, talking about stuff, watching drifters and admiring our cars for a few hours, then we decided to have a go too. I made one lap more fun and went a little sideways! It wasn't really the smartest idea to do that with a Porsche but i couldn't resist. :D The Lambos did a few laps as well but they had more power and less steering lock so they couldn't drift much. I mean, they're not Daigo Saito! :))

And thank god that the guys took some photos of the action.

After a track day at Ebisu we visited Nakai-san to sell Boostio's 911 as he said. It was an honour to meet him and all those Porsches, he really liked mine too! All in all, it was really fun to visit Japan again after some time! There was always something interesting, the nice cars or the places themselves. When we met with everyone we headed back to Tokyo, where we got these beasts from. While KeeJay, Phonexius and Driftphantom were doing some business for their wheel shop, i was looking for 2JZ parts for the Lexus cause if all the Speed Devils shop's cars got more than 1000HP, you know it's the right place for top shit parts. :D So i ended up with a forged crank, rods and pistons, custom stage 3 cylinder head and stage 4 BC camshafts. I managed to get quite a discount cause i threw in the old parts, they always come in handy for them cause they can rebuild them or sell them on.

See you tomorrow when we get back to USA, i'll post some more about #ProjectMX5 and things that have changed in Oklahoma too. :)

So as i told you yesterday we continued with #ProjectMX5 after we got some sleep and went to Ben's place. Before our trip to Japan i ordered some stuff for the MX5's V6. The most important things were a SPEC Stage 2 clutch and a manual transmission, cause this Miata was a manual before. *LINK* So i got a manual transmission from a Mustang GT, i didn't find any from a V6 cause most of those are automatics, but i thought "it should fit". :D It did but the original MX5 transmission was a little longer so we had to move the engine backwards a bit.

I also thought about some upgrades, the first one is a head swap, to be precise i got a set of DOHC heads from a 3.7 V6 from a newer Mustang, with cams, valves and everything. *LINK* I think the bore is pretty similar to the 4.0 so they could fit with no problems, or maybe the heads will have to be rebored, we'll see. *LINK* I ordered some "shorty" headers as well, they are made for the new heads and the engine will fit in easier. The swap is almost done, we checked if everything is in the right place and we're making some mounts at the moment. :)

^ I think most of V6 swapped Miatas have that 2.5 engine, so you can't go wrong with it. :)

So yesterday we pretty much finished the #ProjectMX5 V6 swap, but today we found out that the new heads need some work. They fit on the engine but there is a bore difference between the 4.0 and the newer 3.7 engine, so we took the Miata to a nearby engine specialist to fit bigger valves and make the ports the same size. Not only that, the camshafts had to be tuned for the new valves too. After some tests the V6 was running fine on all cylinders, so the Miata is drivable now! It doesn't have an exhaust pipe yet, probably i'll just straight pipe it cause i don't think the V6 will do it's best with the stock exhaust. :P I didn't make any photos then, but you'll see when i go for a drive with Phonexius. ;) After we sorted this out we installed some 1JZ parts on his 180, but when i saw the R33 without suspension and engine i knew that he has some big plans for it. Also i gave him V$800 cause he gave me the Miata and R33 is costing him a lot!

Meanwhile i got some news from the boys at Side to Side HQ: First, here are the new wheels and brakes i got for the Chevelle, it was expensive af but worth it. I was thinking of a suspension upgrade as well but they already fitted the wheels so we'll see about that later.

3Style's 180SX got some new wheels, he traded the BBS with our JDM supplier Tyretear for those AVS model 6, on top of that he got a pair of Recaro SR4 seats and a Nardi steering wheel.

It turned out that 180's not so clean as it seemed, cause 3Style found some rust on the inside of the rear fender. He already sanded it a bit, for now it looks like rust was only on the surface.

And just as one project is getting done, here comes another one. :D Skip found this thing on Craigslist and the seller really wanted to get rid of it so he brought it home for only V$200. No suspension, no engine, no nothing but from what i've seen from the photos the body looks alright. It's almost a bare shell so it's a blank canvas for a new project. :)

Not much for today, me and Ben just made straight pipes for my MX5. After some cutting and welding it now looks like this, when we installed them we fired up that V6, and it sounds surprisingly good! It's pretty loud, but that's what you get with straight pipes. I think it would be too much work to fit 2 mufflers and cats so we chose the simple way. Maybe they're too long, but it's still better than no exhaust! :D I'll probably make some more adjustments later on.

Tomorrow we're going for a drive with Ben's 350Z and the MX5 and check the progress of his R33, so stay tuned. ;)
