A New Life, A New PlaceHi everyone my name is Daniel Willems. I'm originally from New Zealand, where I was a Tiler Apprentice, but due to an opportunity my dad was given, I moved to Japan with my family. We live in the City of Koriyama, Fukushima Prefecture. I needed a car quick so my Dad told me about a local car yard that had some interesting things. This is where I found my current car, A 1996 Mazda MX-5, 1.8ltr manual and yes its LHD. The Dealer said he didn't know how it ended up in Japan but who cares its a little different. Cost me 3,300,000¥ which is V$3,300. Current Wallet Balance:V$10,000 This post was edited by Guppy (2016-06-22 08:57, ago) |

Small little update, meet a guy at the local UP garage said he had some SSR Star sharks for sale, so I bought them with tires for V$700 which I thought was pretty good.

So I meet up with the owner (his cousin) to look at a Toyota Mark 2 (JZX100) which he had done some supporting mods for drifting and had just put in a 2JZ-GTE replacing the factory 1JZGE. -V$5,000 and I'm the proud owner of this tidy as hell Mark 2, So excited
MODS ENGINE: Standard 2JZ-GTE WHEELS: Work Emotion CR Kai SUSPENSION: Tein Super Master Drifts BRAKES: 326 power set with dual rear calipers INTERIOR: Stripped with Bride buckets, Nardi Wheel and hydro brake |

That's pretty clean good deal there, not often a street car has a dual caliper setup so that's even better!
I own a mark II my self but it's a JZX90 |

I've always been a big fan of these big Japanese sedans. Looks like a really mint example!

I went up to Ebisu after work a couple days ago to see a couple of friends and I meet another guy with a JZX100 and he said he had a single turbo kit for it for sale. I bought it for V$1,000 which I thought was pretty good seeing what I got with it:
-Garrett GT4088 Twin scroll (minimal shaft play) -Custom made twin scroll manifold -Tial 44mm wastegate -full Blitz intercooler with piping So I stripped the hot side of the engine down Mounted everything up and fitted the oil lines And cut the holes for the intercooler piping and fabricated some mounts for the intercooler itself I have an Apexi Power FC lined up I just have to find the time to go pick it up, so the JZX is going to be garaged for the time being. I do have some plans for the MX-5 coming up but its being a good daily atm |
