Hey my name is Ramalhinho07 as some of you might know me
I'm 19 years old and been living in Japan, to be more precise in the city of Saitama, since i was 14 years old.
I work at a auto repair shop in Saitama called Nada Engeneering

I recently purchased my 1st car, it's a 1990 Nissan 180SX Zenki a.k.a "Pignose" for 3500V$, quite cheap to be fair.
It has been through rough days but there's no rust that's a good sign, but the paint is faded because the car sat for a long time outside according to the previous owner since he had no garage to put it on. It has a huge dent in the driver's door that i intend to fix ASAP among other stuff like missing trims and the interior is a bit rough as well.

The car is pretty much stock except it has a SR20DE swapped into it instead of the old CA18, it sits on stock suspension (shakes like a muthafucka). The SR has a aftermarket GReddy intake manifold and a Mishimoto radiator.

My plans for it are for now to fix it and slowly get some new parts for it.
I'm also running the Temp Plates until i register my car

Finances: V$ 20000-3500=16500

Yeah i really did get a good bargain on this, the previous owner was in some hurry to get cash and i didn't think twice
SR has 197k on it but still runs nice

Also working on the door as we speak, i'm fixing it with bondo some pics coming in a bit!

Well started to work on that dented door... I'm not the greatest at fixing dents but i've been using BONDO and it's looking good so far, it's smooth and leveled, might need to put some more layers to get it on point

Also ordered a Magic Aero lip for my pignose bumper from Garage Nine that should come soon

p.s. i need to paint this shit asap because it looks bad as it sits :(

Also yeah i have some things on mind that i might need but i'll tell ya when the time is right

Thanks Mister_Softee for the quick shipping i'll be hyped all day for it

And it has arrived! I was taking a 10 min break when it arrived at about 6pm

I'm pretty happy with the quality overall the lip fits so well in the piggy, only thing i need is to paint it now, but i'll do that when i paint the whole car.
I'll be contacting Garage Nine for more parts soon :)

Finances: 16500-125(+25 shipping)= 16350 V$

Got some more stuff done on the 180 today:

Went to a parts store in Saitama and picked up a new shift knob for V$ 15, might be a small mod but it makes the interior look different

And also got a call from a friend from Hachioji who works at a junkyard saying that they just received a 180sx type-x as a part out, head on crash looked nasty
But... I managed to get the Type-X Valence, side skirts and spoiler for a pretty good price (1050V$)
I wanted to get the kouki tailights as well but some other guy grabbed them first, so i'll look for a set of ones in the future.
The type-x aero parts make it look so much better, even though it's still high af, but i'm working on getting a set of 326 power coilovers this week i'm hyped for that!

Meanwhile on the DMV there was a set back with my plates and they don't have them yet, they told me next week they should be here, so i'll run the temp plates until then

Finances: 16350 - 15 (shift knob) - 1050 (type-x parts) = 15285 V$

SUSPENSION TIME!!!

My boss had me going to Kyoto to go deliver a car to a client because he needed it in a rush (kinda weird why he has the car so far away but hey it's not my business)

Anyways, i figured i might as well make a small detour and go to Osaka to Garage Nine where my friend Marcus works and pick up a set of 326 Power Charukiri coilovers for V$ 2500. They make the 180sx look so much lower (i'll drop some pics soon, i'm getting the car ready to be painted this weekend)

The springs allow me to go so much lower, about 2,5 inch drop, i can feel the speedbumps already. they sit now at 6.5 inch, with the ability to go to about 5.5 but that's too damn low for me
Also picked up some tools (hydro jack and cross wrench) and a set of foglights from Doge's shop for a total of V$ 320

Finances: 15285 - 2500 (full coilover set 326 power) - 320 (tools and foglights) = 12465 V$

like that one guy we see rolling around town? That yellar 180 is the biz.

Pretty sure it's just a Type R or G.

Also, Marcus is setting up for us to be a certified PPG dealer (I am a PPG Certified painter due to the last shop I worked at). We contemplated carrying DuPont but being they sold their automotive paint interest to Carlyle Group, we just don't think we will see the quality that we are used to.

TCP Global has given us this bit of info/quote if you're interested

1 gal colour, 1 gal clear, catalysts, reducers, and total cost of topcoats will be $1,085.

Price may vary a few hundred more or less depending on OEM colour code.

Give us a call or drop a line if you need to know shop rates!

180SX is looking classy! Good to see you putting her back to former glory.

My 180sx is now painted!
Dropped it off at Garage Nine for a new paintjob for a total cost of 1085 V$, the chosen color was midnight blue pearl, OEM color
Must say the paint overall looks very good, it's all smooth and linear, something i don't think i would have pulled off to be honest.

Also went by the shop to check on progress and lowkey got some pics huehuehue

Primer coat shot.

One of the midnight blue coats.

Final look now in my hands :-X
It's really awesome the change a color makes to it. Also this is my first pic of it after installing the 326 power coils :))
In the meanwhile i also got my new plates as you can tell in the last pic no more temp plate

I'm now looking for a set of wheels, some old school wheel styling 15" or 16" max, maybe SSR or Hayashi idk yet

Anyway this was also payday week so an extra 415 v$ added to the bank account

Finances: 12465 - 1085 (paintjob) - 40 (DMV plates) + 415 (paycheck) = 11755 V$

New paint looks DOPE! Can't wait till you get the wheels. You should try something different, maybe hunt for some rare wheels. Everybody does SSR Mk1, Hayashi Streets, Reverse meshs or RS Watanabe. Something unique would fit this very well!

Decided to apply some stickers i had laying around in my place + some my friends gave me on the rear left window (i love the "kinda lit" slap especially)

And got some stickers printed to use as a vinyl for 70 V$ (except the 326 power that was given two in the package when i bought the 326 Power Charukiri coilovers.

And that's about it
I think i made my decision on the wheels and they should be coming soon :D

Finances: 11755 - 70 (stickers) = 11685 V$

Picked up a second hand nardi wheel + quick release hub from a friend for V$ 375

He repainted it but didn't like the final look of it so sold it to me. Now i need a new color shift knob because it's kinda odd but i'll do that sooner or later

p.s i've ordered my wheels already the are on the way

Finances: 11685 - 375 (steering wheel) = 11310 V$

My wallet took a big hit
But i ain't mad

The wheels i was hyped for finally arrived! Hoshino Yayoi 15x10, one of the most beautiful wheels created imo
They costed me 3.100 V$ + 400 V$ to get them wrapped up in toyo proxes 215/35/R15 for a total of 3.5k

I need to start working on the engine as well, need a new exhaust, maybe change head gasket, oil change all that sort of stuff, dunno if i'll keep it N/A or not but that's a future decision

Finances: 11310 - 3500 (wheels and tyres) = 7810 V$

Got a little break of work and installed the foglights i bought from Doge's dope shop a while back, almost forgot i had them.
Oh and i took a pic with my old film camera, i'm a huge fan of the late 90's style (if you didn't realize yet hahaha)
Foglights costed me 50V$ but i've already paid them before when i bought the jack and the crosswrench

What does one do on weekends and day off?
"Totally Legal" Drift Sesh on the backroads near Saitama. I put on my OEM wheels in the rear just because the toyo tyres on the Yayoi's are brand new. It was a really fun time...
Also got a friend to get this dank shot :P

Until this happened...

Went a bit too wide in a corner and tapped a bit of a rail and bent my bumper a bit, you can't really tell because it wasn't much dent, and since it's plastic i can fix that by applying boiling water and kick it back in place. Biggest issue is the paint that got damaged but thankfully it didn't catch my side panel, got lucky on that.
I'll fix this soon hopefully
