Hello all, my name is Marlon and I moved to Valo City one year ago after spending my previous years in the Caribbean. After a lot of saving, I finally purchased my first project car from a Japanese auction site and had it imported and landed two weeks ago. Some basic information about my car-
1995 Toyota GX100 Mark II Sedan -Fairly low mileage, only 55,000Kms when it got here. -Clean body, no accidents and no rust. -16x7 wheels with new tyres. -1G-FE engine. -5 Speed manual, I checked the part number on the gearbox and it seems to be a W58. The interior seems to be fair, the body is tidy and the engine is fully functional. It has all the luxuries as expected, such as functional A/C, Power steering, electronic seats, power windows and other average stuff. The best part about this vehicle is that I paid a mere equivalent of $1,200 USD, leaving lots of cash to kick off my build. It was also a non-smoker's car which means the interior is void of any odors. My plans are to build a nice and reliable street machine that's comfortable to drive all around the country without any issues. Without further ado, here are some pictures: This post was edited by gt3076r (2016-05-23 20:56, ago) |

Looks clean! Out of all the X100's this one is the classiest IMO. Will be following this build!

Thanks fellas, and @Mister_Softee, the car cost $1,200USD alone. Importing, registration and other fees cost me $2,600, everything totaling to $3,800USD which isn't too bad for a project car. I haven't done much in a while due to the fact that I've been daily driving the car to and from work. However, I did pick up some stuff from the Driftworks website:
- HSD Monopro coilovers - Driftworks front camber arms - Japspeed rear camber arms - Driftworks tension rods -Some Powerflex polyurethane bushings With these parts installed, the suspension feels much more rigid and responsive. Some pictures of my new height: Now that I had a proper suspension setup, I looked into getting a new set of wheels on threepiece.us: Weds Kranze Cerberus II 18x9 +10 upfront, 18x9 -0 at the rear. Wrapped in 215/35/18 tyres, these wheels fit my car perfectly and give me the exact look I pictured in my head. With minor fender rolling and -3 camber all around, I achieved a head-turning sorta VIP stance. I've decided to step back on modding the JZX100 for a bit and look into purchasing a stock daily driver so I can work on this one without having to worry anymore. With that being said, my next update should involve another car. |

Haven't posted an update in ages because I've been busy with work. I did some drastic changes over the past couple of months. I ended up swapping in a JZS147 2JZGTE engine and mated it to my W58 5 speed manual transmission. It took a bit of electrical work and some late nights but we figured it out. Some other engine related mods that were done are:
-Mishimoto JZX100 intercooler kit -Greddy Type FV BOV -Aeromotive Fuel Pressure Regulator -Treperformance 255lph fuel pump -Apexi cone filter -3" Stainless steel exhaust with v-band clamps and a shotgun tip -HPI Oil cooler and braided lines -Mishimoto thermostat. -ACT 6 puck clutch and a heavy duty pressure plate -XTD lightweight flywheel I went to a dyno day and my horsepower figure was determined to be 305whp on stock boost and stock twins. Not bad at all. We also welded the differential and I tried out some drifting with my new alignment setup (0 toe all around, -4 camber upfront and -1 rear.) After all of these mods, my car has become a bit expensive to drive to work everyday so I'm slowly saving cash for another vehicle which would be more practical for city driving. Anyway, here are some photos: |
