OK. But as it's detailed down to the bulb filaments, how can I make them all glow white? DC's tutorial doesn't explain a thing and it's only for flat lights with textures. Help?
(Don't expect low poly stuff here) OK,OK

I've done my first SCX chassis export, using BB's (^his) Giulia as a cfg and java script guide.
Exciting. My first in-game screens are coming.

Nope. Illustrator + 3DS Max. And making it flat is just...

Also - your reference pic looks pretty low resolution, here's 4K logo

So I've gone from self-made Range Rover, to self-made Pinin, to self-made Capri, to a Sketchup 7 imported Capri from 3D Warehouse, to a Honda Beat PP1.
Where next! The PP1 has some of the smallest fenders I have ever seen on any vehicle. Most of the front end consists of the bonnet and front bumper, but that means it's light. Very light; it was built to comply with Japanese Kei specs.

Pictures with bonus shitty low res blueprint! (one of them) (not done yet, just like the Pinin preview.) This is the first cool fender I've made!

Added 1 minute later:

P.S. That is using TurboSmooth. I thought I would step things up a notch. It worked brilliantly, don't you think?

Not really. It has lots of useless polies in lower part. BTW you gave up on Capri?

Oh yeah, that arrow shows that the 516 is where the 386 should be. Those extra polys are blueprints, and I just forgot to change them to single segment planes when making them.
And no, I haven't given up with my Capri, I've stopped the 3D warehouse one. In my opinion, importing is cheating. If you wanna do it right, you make it yourself. So if I do eventually carry on the Capri, I will continue with the front end of it that I still have. The Beat, however, is now my main project.

Close, but no cigar :D

Also, If I want it to be high quality, it's worth putting in just a few extra edges to get a really smooth finish when it's all done.

Trust me, it's such small detail that it doesn't need THAT much of polies, and the lower part is just useless. Look at your wireframe and at mine. You've used 12 (vertical) cuts where you can use just 4 without loss of detail. Especially when you want to submesh model

I suppose I could cut down on a few, but I only put in so many so I could define the curve at the bottom of it, where it meets the sill. So I'll see how that goes, and decide from there. This is going much better than the Capri so far!

**WANTED**
(quickly if possible)
Blueprints for ANY parts (prefferably Mugen) for Honda Beat PP1-100/110
As I like my upcoming mods to have some community opinion, I'll leave it to you guys for choosing which parts you want me to include.

In the meantime, a bonnet has been made (as always, unfinished as yet)
And yeah, I prefer to use TurboSmooth. It's jst more accurate.

Should I untick 'Apply to whole mesh' on the meshsmooth tool? all my edges are curved when they shouldn't be.
(I've seen wht it does, and the arch would have more flat edges, but more accuracy.)

And yes, I will try and finish this one. All of them so far have either been to rare, too difficult or just too shit tbh. And I just didn't feel like they were worth doing.
But David, it will already come with the SLK320 AMG V6 (if i make it), so why bother? I see your point though, V8 swap would make this thing a beast, maybe BB's LS3?

Meshsmooth is more accurate

If you untick Apply to whole mesh, it'll smooth only polies you choose

Wow, well 3/4 of those smileys didn't work.
I'm using the modifier of MeshSmooth in Max 2012, not 5.1. You can't select the polys you want to smooth.

Wanna know what it was?
I started this in Max 2010 before I realized it was shit and went to 2012. So when I opened it in 2012, it gave me the message, as with any older files, to either adapt or keep the Gamma and LUT settings. When I went into the Gamma and LUT settings on Preferences, the 'Enable Gamma and LUT Correction' was ticked. I unticked it, and it reverted back to normal.

Nope, it wasn't so hard to fix.

The thing that REALLY gets me with this car is that the SLK32 AMG, with its 354bhp, can top 193mph without the limiter (which I pretty much think I can make fingers crossed). That, for an SLK, is fucking fast.

OK, got my shit together, started to remake my *unfinished* project/s. Going back to the beginning, remaking the Capri first.
By looking at some of Harrision15's wires, I noticed that I don't need MS to have high poly meshes.
Reset Max 2012 to factory settings, got rid of all the shit settings, got to work.

No moar abandoned projects!

Yup.
I was mainly looking at his newer R33 wires, are they Forza based meshes(?)
He reworked some of them, which means he must've had the meshes from the original model. And even so, you almost never get the detail that he's gotten in his R33 from Forza models. T10 just make stuff visible in-game; interior, body and lights. No engine, no underside. (almost) No aftermarket parts...

But yeah, I'm taking a new approach on things. More polygons, no MS (or T(urbo)Smooth) :D

The Capri my mum had, in the early 90s:

And here it is in real life: (I can leave the license plate, it's been scrapped for 20 years :( )

Notice the red sticker on the left of the tailgate that says 'CABARET'. These things are now rare as fuck.

And here was it's replacement after the 1.6 Pinto engine threw a piston: A 'Rosso Red' 2.0 Laser. After my oldest brother was born, he sold the Laser and got a Volvo 940 Wentworth 2.0-litre. With a non-working turbo.
Doge will probably disagree that the 940 was a downgrade... :lolhitting:

It was towed away...

And replaced-note my dad washing the bonnet at the time.

That picture (^) is special to my dad, because it is the only one he has of that car. He misses it. He also can't remember at all what the number plate of it read.

And you can't tell from the picture because of the shadows.
