Hello. I'm Ole, i'm 19 years and from Norway.
This thread will be about the project's going on in my garage. At the time i got two project's and a daily driver.

Project Car Nr.1. Toyota Corolla AE86 (Drift Style)
Project Car Nr.2. Volvo 242 Turbo (Restoration project with a few tweeks) (SOLD)
Project Car Nr.2. Toyota Corolla AE86 Levin (Drifter
Daily Driver. Volvo 850 T5-R
Winter Beater. Volvo 242GL

The AE86 Is completely stock at the moment (March 20. 2016)
Bought it and imported from Japan. Previously owned by an elderly man who have taken very good care of it. No rust at all, engine runs great and body/interior is very nice, only normal wear.

Will be an interesting project, not much parts for these car to be found in Norway. So it may take some time to get it done.

Nice AE86 you got there! It already looks good at the moment, except it's a little too high imo. I think there's no need modifying it too much, because it's already good, parts are hard to find and it's easier to sell it if it's original. Can you take some pictures of your daily Volvo? I heard that T5-Rs are very rare.

It's a very nice car indeed! Not going to go crazy on it, was thinking about a driftstyle AE86, but i'm not completely sure i will go for it. May end up just lowering it a bit, change the wheels and do some engine mods. And get it registered of course :)

Pic's of the 850 will come soon! They are very rare cars, and if you find one they usually have a very high mileage. Mine got about 300k Km, witch is around 185k miles. And that i not to bad for a car that old. They also cost a bit, at least here in Norway, i had to pay 80.000NOK for it (9500USD)
Cream yellow, original pegasus rims.

The rims looks real nice on it, but i'm going to change them for some concave one's. so the rim's on the pic's will come up for sale when i got some rubber on the concave rims. Not sure about the engine setup yet. I do like a N/A setup with lot's of power to, so we'll see :p

Actually going to take the 850 for a spin now, and a photoshoot. Maybe get by the garage and take some photos of the 242 aswell :D

A very fun, little car, only seen one or two other AE86's with a Norwegian numberplate. so i believe its very rare in Norway :p

Have been on the Norwegian winter mountains for the easter. Very nice roads over the mountains, so no problem with a 240HP FWD. Pic's is from the mountain and when i came home and got the summerwheels on :)

Found some old pic's of the 242. This was when i first had bought it, when it was sanded/primered and freshly painted.

Got some stuff done after this, but don't got any pictures of it yet.

-Suspension is done
-All body parts mounted

-Still working on the engine

In the beginning of the restoration. A bit rusty but good and strong body.

Sanded and primered

And freshly painted. Same color as before, just a bit more shiny :awesome:

More will come, i'll just have to take some pictures :)

Ok, so i took a ride to the garage to take some pictures. And i found some more old one's.

Desided to use some retro wheels. Penta 100+. Very popular wheels to use on old Volvo's (at least in Norway :p)
Still missing the headlights and grille on these pic's.

And this is how it looks like today. (March 29. 2016)

Some minor changes. Found some older quarter panels and an trunk from an older model. (Straight instead of curved)

And some more changes for the interior. New leather seats, all original gauges and electric windows.

(These are two different mods)

Update on the AE86!

I have been working on the old Toyota a bit now.
-Suspension i done. (pictures will come)
-Changed the interior.
-Started working on the engine.

Got in contact with some people who imports cars from Japan. They also managed to find bodyparts, interior and engine parts :D

Changed the wheels for some concave ones, mounted an lip in the front and a new trunk.(lip and trunk is not in the pictures)

Lowering the car really changed the look, and i really like how it sits on the 16" concave rims.

And then the interior. Got my hand on a very nice Bride interior. (door panels, front & rear seats and other panels.

Seats, panels and carpet is out and getting cleaned

Started the mounting of the new interior

Feel free to tell me what you think about my project's :)

The interior looks nice, but i don't like that the logos are all over the place. The seats are also nice, are you making something like a track car? And what are those gauges for? I really like the new rims and lower fitment. Overall i like the exterior changes, but the interior mods seem kinda unnecessary to me. (it costs and i'm too lazy to do that :)) )

Actually i have to agree with you about the logo's :p Going for a car that can be used as a daily driver and a track car, that's the reason for the front seats :)
Gauges were only a test, did not like them and they're gone now.

Thanks for sharing your opinion about my work!

Hahah, i don't think that mine have been shredding the mountain road's Initial D style ! :D

Got some good stuff coming up!

the 242 is SOLD! :lolhitting: And a Toyota Corolla Levin is on its way. Not in as good condition as my AE86, but still good enough to make a drifter.
Solid body without an engine, bad interior and trashed suspension.

More info will come soon!

When did you get that Levin? I didn't see it here before. Did it have a RB26 when you bought it? You can get a turbo for it and you're good to go. ;) And nice work with that 4A rebuild, 20v is awesome.

Oooh nice. Loving the Volvos & 86's. I have to ask, do you still have stock interior left for Corolla? Anything else will be good, too. Since you're in Norway & I'm in Estonia it shouldn't be a big problem to send / or pick up myself.

Hi, Coprone. Searched in the storage and found some Corolla stuff :)

-Front and rear seats, good condition. Previous owner used seat covers from the beginning.
-Door panels and rear panels, normal wear. No holes/cracks.
-Also got black floor carpet in decent condition :)

if you're intrested, give me an offer!

Added 19 minutes later:

Also got some work done on the Levin.

- Mounted strut bars, Front&Rear
- Sway Bars, Front&Rear
- Painted and mounted Rollcage
- Got the Seats back in and mounted the belts

Strut bars in

Rollcage in

Seats and belts in

Next up is the Engine, Will go for RB26DET. Using the old RB26 Block that i have, but it will be upgraded to Stage4. Friend of mine runs an tuning shop, so i get parts a little cheaper (Thank God) :lolhitting:

DAMN! feel's like i'm spamming my own thread :lolhitting:

Finally decided to buy a winter beater. Since the 850 T-5R is such a special car (only 1975 made worldwide in the color "607 creme yellow"), i will put it to rest for the winter..

So here is my new car! a Volvo 242, that i bought from a friend of mine. Got a B230A ( 2,3L 8V Carb, 112hp )with a 4-speed manual.

And some of the T-5R

While i'm waiting for some part's for the RB26, i have been done some work on the AE86 Trueno!

Some may like it, others not. But everyone got their own taste :)

Its no longer a Panda!

(only pic's i got for now)

And i have mounted a front strut bar, made the car feel better on the road. really impressed over the handling on this one! :D

Also been thinking about changing the rims.. not sure yet!

Thanks! :)

I do spend a lot of time and money on my cars( Both in this RP, and IRL :lolhitting: ). But i think that in the end, it's worth it :D It's almost like watching a kid grow up! First words/first startup, first steps/first drive etc.. :D

Added 1 hour 29 minutes later:

Yesterday i Got the last parts for the RB26, couple hours after posting about the trueno :)

Did the last assembly in the evening/night (with help from my friend who runs the tuning shop) got it started up and some "ruff" adjustments. This morning we loaded the Levin on he's trailer and went on the Dyno! Together with a Norwegian company called "Optituning" who does some fantastic work with chipping the "brain" and optimizing it. Results will come under the pic's ! :D

Engine is in the car, missing the piping for intercooler

piping is done and in!

This morning, before going to the Dyno

And what everyone wants to know! the Results. Was hoping for about 900/950Hp. But seeing the final results, i got a bit surprised.

Hope you guys can read it! It says 1183HP :D I'm so glad i got the help from Optituning! really amazing result!

Small adjustments on the suspension, and its good to go :)

Will do a small post on the AE86 Trueno tomorrow maybe, been having some small problems.

Thats it for now! Bye :)

Been having some trouble with the Trueno lately.. I do believe it may be the head gasket! running only 2-3 cylinders. Idle is also very low.. checked all the spark plugs, the distributor etc..

Thinking about ripping the Cylinder head off tomorrow to see if it is the head gasket. hoping it's just a bad gasket and nothing else.

Also want to show you guys my friend's project. Since he is running a tuning shop this is almost like his "company car" :p

This is his 1000+ HP Supra with a 2JZ Single Turbo!

(Dont mind the missing timing belt, don't know why its not showing)

And his girlfriend car! Who also does drifting, actually drifts better than most of the guy i know :D (True Story!)

S13 with a 900Hp 2JZ Twin-Turbo.

Just hoping my girlfriend wants to do her own build soon :p

feel free to tell me what u guys think about both my own builds and my friends! :)
