Hello everybody, I'm Martin Teoharov. I live in Bulgaria, land of badly patched roads and ridiculous speed bumps. I recently got my first car and let me tell you how the purchase went.

So, I took a bus to the city where the car was to check it out. Everything looked pretty well, few little rust spots on the arches but everything else good. I took it for a test drive when suddenly some Greek registered Celica comes speeding past my left side, and takes a swooping right turn infront of me and tears the front bumper off, before it sped off into the distance. We decided that he was long gone and just stuck the bumper in the boot, but hey, at least I managed to knock another few hundred off the price. :))

Drove it back home looking like this for about 100 km. It was a miracle that I didn't get pulled over anywhere. Normally the cops around here like to f*ck with you for extra money but I didn't come across any of the bastards.

So, after a while driving with the hope the bumper wouldn't fly out the boot, I finally arrived at my old man's little garage. Expect updates soon-ish on the Civic.

Maybe I have to take a better look at the suspension, who knows what the previous guy has done under there.

Small update before some other stuff, took a better look at the old bumper at home but it just couldn't be mounted back as it was just torn off, and I didn't really want a bumper hanging by zipties just yet so I scoured the local junkyards and found this bumper off some EG9. I probably won't be keeping it for long, just for now so that the cops don't have something to stop me for. I've heard of situations where somebody had the registration taken off their car because they were driving without bumpers.

Had a look at the rear wheels and they had some weird spacer on them, the car probably had some flares or something. I took it off now.

That front bumper looks nice. You should match the colour so it will look legit, the cops won't stop you then. :D If you are planning to buy some new wheels, i have some 16 inch Diamond Racing wheels if you're interested. They're quite a common choice for a Civic.

Thanks everybody, glad you like the car!

Another thing I did today was little bit of rust repair on the arches. I want my car pristine before I go into real modding. Last thing I want to do is look like some ricer who'd rather buy a body kit and a new stereo than invest the money in rust repair and engine maintenance. :)

So now I'm pondering on some better cosmetic styling. I might do an engine swap in the future, but definitely not now. First thing I think I should look into are some rims. I think I'll pass on the Diamond Racing rims, I like to be a bit unique, not go with the mainstream. ;)

You guys seem to like the colour but I was thinking or re-painting it in some shade of grey (not 50). Ideally I'd like it to look something like the picture below, and I think it's sick.

Good choice, you're not a mainstream Civic owner. :D Well, it won't be hard to find a random civic guy who will want those wheels. And i like the color in that picture, it would be nice with black rims. :)

Hey hey calm down here, don't want any argument starting in my thread. I haven't said I'll use the rims in the picture of the grey Civic, I just put it as an example for the color. :)

Hey fellas sorry for not posting the last few days but I've been busy prepping the ol' Civic for fresh new paint. Just received it this morning and I'be been putting all the parts back on it most of the day. I also got a new front bumper because I really like the grill on this one more than the EG9 bumper, and I like how the grey plastic looks along with the new paint. :D

New pain is fresh man! Loving the simple look of this man. If you plan on changing the wheels anytime soon I would definitely suggest to keep them black.
