[UPDATED]

Some of you may know my screen name from the previouse RP theard. For everyone else, hi my name is Mishel, im 28 and im maried with my beautyful wife Lidija. No kids for now, and that is why we can still enjoy cars, both of us.I did have a few cars before.I am a huge Subaru fan, and its planed to get a subby one day, but for now my A4 B5 Audi will do the job.Well i have the car for a while. When i picked it up it was in rlly good condition and the previouse owner treated it wright, and a good polishing brought the faded color back. After that all i did is bought some cheap coils from Ebay and upgraded the front brakes to S4 ones. The engine is a 1.6, and its planed to be replaced one day, but for now its holding preety good.I drove on some stupid wheels untill i was able to grab the ones i have now.I want the WORK Seeker CX ones in 18", i already had a chance to try some 17" Seeker's on and i love them.

I have to say that as i know from before my builds contain alot of text and pictures so if you are not a reader i try to explain as much as posible throu my pictures of some progress.Hope you all enjoy and like what i do, and i hope to see yall on the next meet.

Since the cars registration will go out in the upcoming month, i was planing to make a engine swap. The current engine is working great dont get me wrong, but it is a 1.6 and it is not any fast or fun.It is ok for dailying but i want more power out of it.Now the thing is i want to go to a whole runing gear swap of a S4/RS4, but i cant decide on the engine. If i go 1.8T i have alot of playroom powerwise but it hangs bit higher in the prise range, on the other hand it would be cool to have the 4.2 V8 inside but that would kill my wallet for daily driving.V8's are starting from V$700, and the 1.8T starts from V$1300.How are the 2.7 BiTurbos? Are they ok?I know they are fast but are they reliable? How is the servicing of that engine?

The second thing is once we pull the engine out and start working on the new one i will be without a car, so i need to buy a new daily.Am looking for something cheep. Will check out VStanced Garage, but the internet aswel.

More updates soon.

Today i spent time to repaint the Thule box.I think i did a preety OK job.Still no luck with roof rack.Still need to decide about the engine, need to make a list with stuff i want to do and need to find a daily once i start working on the B5.

Yes, it's a very high performance engine, but it can overheat a little because of that, which can also lead to a O2 sensor failure.
Oil and coolant leaks are also quite common issues, but i don't think you will have serious problems with it. I don't know about the fuel consumption though. I don't know if it will be alright for a daily, but it has a lot of power.

Wow, 5000V$ for a set of wheels! For such unique wheels it's definitely a great deal.

# CALLmeSCOOBY : How are the 2.7 BiTurbos? Are they ok?

Personally I would choose to go with the twin turbos from the C5 RS6, those will be some great turbos for power on a 2.7, but if you go 4.2 that's a great reliable option right out of the box so long as you keep up with carbon cleaning and other maintenance on that, otherwise you'll have no more engine to use or repair... I've done a 4.2 into B8 swap, if you decide any of these options and you want to work on it at the shop, I've got space open and can give you some good quotes since I've known you for a while. It'll be a big project and probably better to have some help on it. Let me know, but I look forward to seeing what you do, this thing is awesome already.

Do it for the ratchets

thnx guys.
and yeah Haku, i mostly work inside my small garage or in the driveway so yeah, would be cool to get a hand with the engine.Powerwise i will be cool with the 300hp the 4.2 is pushing. And i am not going for the newer 4.2, i am actualy looking for the 4.2 that came originaly with the C5, since its still on normal belt, i have read alot that people had problems with the chain belt, so basicly everytime you have to service it, you need to pull the engine out because they placed it in the back of the engine, only Jesus knows why.Sooo, yeah im sticking with normal belt. And the engine starts from V$700 which gives me room to play with some other stuff i wanted to do on the car, like the trailing arms and rear brakes from the S4/RS4 so i can have the whole suspension setup and brakes upgraded.

Hey guys.

The Thule box is on.I found a roof rack for the B5, picked it up today for V$275 and placed the Thule on it.Looks cool imo.Went downtown in the evening and had a small photoshoting.

In the next day i will go and check out few engines and probably pick one up, depends on the condition. After that the car will go to Crown Autoworks where i will work on the swap with Haku.Still need to find S4 trailing arms and rear brakes. And i need to find a cheep ass car to daily it in the time when the Audi will be in the shop.

We got the engine!!!

After a few stops today we actualy picked up a new heart for the B5.Its a engine out of a 1999 A6 with 189552 miles on it, in good working condition.I payed $845 for it.The only downside is its haveing a auto-transmition, so i will have to find a manual trany for it.other than that its clean it doesnt leak anywhere, but what we will find inside is still to be seen. Now i just need to find a somewhat ok new Daily and the B5 can go to Crown Autoworks to start the project.

*cheers*

Checked today some local used car selling offers and went to check a few of them out.And we actualy ended up buying the 1st car that we went to see.Its a 85' VW Golf MK2, 1.3CL with ower 300000km on it.Its haveing rust come out on some parts but its just on the top, underneath its good chassy.Engine is decent, nothing special. The inside is suprisingly well keept.it runs good, its registerd, its fuel consumption is good so i grabed it for V$1100.That means the B5 can be driven to Crown Autoworks tommorow i hope.

So the B5 and the V8 engine are at Crown Autoworks garage.I got some info on a guy who is haveing some S/RS4 parts and picked up the S4 trailing arms (V$320) and the S4 rear brakes(V$1000).We do have a problem with the trany of the V8, its auto and i still didnt find a manual one, and cause of that we cant even start with the swap.Other than that im rlly happy that its slowly going to the swap.Im very excited and will spend and help in the CA garage when i will have free time.

Ok, so today i bought a 6-speed manual trany for the 4.2 and looks like i did nto calculate good when i bought the engine.I just had to pay V$800 for the trany. Now the whole engine swap went from V$845 to V$1645 without the 1600 i have to pay to CA to swap it in.Bit pricey but now i have to deal with it.Other than that i spent another V$100 today on variouse sanding papers and some filler and other stuff to fix the rust on the MK2, this will be on the run proces just so i can protect it from rusting even more.will try to match paint later on, i hope.

I will need to change the suspension or i will roll this car.It has so much body roll...and the tyres even thought they have good amount of wear, the DOT is unsafe on the street, so those are just few things i will need to pick up next.

P.S. still waiting for my new wheels...looks like delay with shipping...as always...

Added 53 minutes later:

As i was writing the post above and published it the delivery guy came with my new wheels...Rotiform AVV's in 18x9. HYYYYPE!!!!!!! No words, just see for yourself!!!!!

Used Golf just to see how they look.To big for it for sure, but will be perfect for the B5 once its done.

I was working on the Golf yesterday and today whole day to finish it up.I picked up yesterday some wheels and the coilowers arived later in the evening.I bought a set of C4 Blade's with tires for V$540 in good condition.I ordered a few days ago some raceland coils, they are lowbudget coils rlly stiff, but i kinda wanted to lower the golf. They go rlly cheep, V$370 for a set.I painted the filled parts on the car and polished then the areas today.I did missed the collor but it aint that big of a difference.Better like that then rusty.Car is lowered 6cm and i think i could go 1 more but it will rub rlly bad.I could go lower with smaller tires.Duno, will see what the time will show, and need to start slowly working on the B5 @ Crown Autoworks. Was there today, the old 1.6 is out.In the upcoming days they will start preparing the engine bay for the new V8 mounts.Hammering will be our main weapon in the upcoming days :D .BTW the 1.6 Audi engine will be for sale.Ill give you guys a link once i post it up for sale.

Nice work on the Golf, man. I don't think you missed the colour. Do you have any future plans for it?
(P.S.: You should have different plates on each car, would be more realistic)

OK...Big change has happened!!!

Well the thing is i dont have the Golf anymore. But!!!! But i do have another car.And yeah i do have less money on my bank account.Basicly what happened was while driving home this afternoon form CA garage, i went to the mall to pick up some grocerys. And i saw that beautiful 200sx standing there with a paper saying "FOR SALE" and a phone number. The guy who works in the mall had it parked on the parking lot so more people se it.So we chated a bit about the car and he sad that he needs money fast and thats why he is selling it.I made him a offer.I told him i would trade him my Golf and put some money on top of that.He wanted V$3800 for it so i had to put V$2500 on the car.And we did the paperwork and...yeah...ehmmm...i do own a 200SX now.

We now to the SX itself. The guy did the bodywork and the paintjob, he got new rims and tyres, he got coils, some cheep Ebay ones, other than that its stock and in preety good condition.Well ther is a catch.Since its runing the stock CA18DET, its haveing the common CA18 problems. What happens to it, when cold it cranks and starts, runs fine, but the moment it gets warm, when you slow down in it like at the lights, the revs go down to 100 or the engine just cuts out. Then the car wont start again. I mean it cranks, but doesnt ignite. Will have to look into it, will check the coolant temp sensor since for now it runs sometimes but its like runing on 3cyl.Will have a look at it tommorow. If anyone knows the problem im all open for sugestions.
