Crown Autoworks is owned by Haku, is located in Southern Valo City, and focuses on these primary auto services;

Engine Work

Building and repairing engines, adding forced induction (boost), & complete engine swaps.
Primarily done by Haku.

Tuning

We offer ECU tuning and an in house dyno to help get your car running right while putting down the best figures.
Primarily done by Smokiegun.

Electrical

We also offer electrical work, including but not limited to, fixing wiring harnesses, rewiring existing or new components, lighting, and any other electronic connection based issue.
Primarily done by Hyped.

Vinyl Wrapping

In addition we offer in house Vinyl Wrapping in the case you wish to wrap your car instead of painting it. We do full wraps, custom graphic work, stickers, and anything else you're looking for vinyl related. We have a large selection of colours and we can always order more to make sure you get the look you're going for.
Primaril done by Haku.

Body Work and Tires fitting

Finally we work in helping fit body kits to cars, such as wide bodies or simple kits. We'll do the work for you, but we don't do custom body work (Custom made fenders, metal work, in house made kits, etc) at this moment in time, we simply fit already made kits properly. We also have a tire mounting machine and mount all tires properly, even some of the more extreme tire stretches that other shops may not want to touch...

All prices vary and different quotes will be made for each customer upon inquiry. (Ask and we'll give you a price.)

We have a large facility to work on up to 7 customer cars at a time (2 Vinyl, 5 for anything else) and pride ourselves in working quickly, efficiently, and doing everything the way it should be done the first time.

Currently hiring for running gear specialist who must be well versed in everything from lowering springs, drop spindles, air suspension, and anything else running gear related.

Want an example of the work that we can do here at Crown Autoworks?

We made this;

Out of this;

Started with a rolling shell from a customer and a bunch of parts he wanted installed on the car, as well as a good budget to source the remaining parts as well as a price for all the labour. Left with his fully running 1990 Honda Civic with a complete K20A2 Type R engine and 6 speed manual conversion, complete suspension reworking from trailing arms to coilovers, with wilwood brakes and 15x9 hayashi racing wheels on all 4 edges. The engine bay was painted and the rest of the car was repaired and wrapped in white with all the plastic trim bits refinished to their original black. Along with all this work, everything in the car works including A/C, heat, the new stereo setup, and new speedo and tach from a Type R Integra.

We can refresh your car or build it from the ground up.

Do you guys think you guys could lower the Levin for me? I have no preference one the brand of the parts. It's currently on chopped, rusty stock springs. You may discard them if you wish.

I'd recommend getting the new beater and then bring the B5 here. It'll be a minimum of 2 weeks so I'm sure you can find the missing components in that time and then we can just keep on working at it. For everything you're looking to do with the car, I'd say it'll probably be about V$1600 when all is said and done for labor and time, if you are the one providing all the parts. Does that sound alright to you?

We'll get to work tomorrow morning and it should be done by tomorrow evening, so long as nothing else is wrong with the car once we get those bits undone :))

Should be about V$900 for parts and labour, will be fitted with a tein coilover kit we have stocked at the shop made for the AE86 specifically.

Could you get a hold of some body parts for a 1995 Toyota Corolla? Mainly after front bumper, rear bumper, bonnet and a boot. Can be aftermarket or factory. Not bothered. Also after a set of shocks and springs don't care what they are as long as they get me low and handle good.

Yes, been hard at work just saw this, sorry.

Yes, we can do this but may take a couple days of sourcing parts and will probably be from junk yards so if you don't mind that they won't all be the same colour at first but either we can wrap it or you can get it painted somewhere. We will only pull parts in the best condition.

Parts & labour will be about V$1000 give or take after we find all oem parts for you, lowering it should be another V$500 just because there aren't a lot of options for your car but we can mix and match to give you the best balance of handling and lowering.

If you want to wrap the entire car that would be another V$1200 but that's not as important as getting your car completely together and ready to roll.

Let us know and we'll start sourcing parts right away.

# dxg1997 : Could you guys turbo convert my non turbo SR20 in my S15? It's really lacking with only 170 horse, plus it looks alot faster then it actually is.

We could do that, but I will recommend to you now that you build the engine more than just adding forced induction. The SR20 bottom end does not like much power upgrades on stock block and may cause you some issues down the line, going NA to T is good on some engines but on NA 2JZ, NA SR, and some others, it's not as lucky. If you can get the turbo kit from Kazern then we can build the engine for you to handle the power in the form of a built bottom end, potentially stroking it to 2.1 or 2.2 with completely new bottom end from crank to pistons basically. Let me know and I'll get you a quote for it.

# dxg1997 : Sure, gimmie a quote on building my motor to, say, 310 wheel horse maybe?

I can do a few things for you.

1. I currently have a 2.0 to 2.2 Tomei stroker kit in shop that I got a deal on. I could install this at the cost of what I bought it for, plus labour, for V$3400. Costly but if you only want to make low power like that, you'll practically never have to worry about the stock bottom end of the SR engine.

2. I have an SR20DET Blacktop from an S15 with an upgrade to a Garrett T28 Turbo, as well as a full greddy intercooler set up (intercooler and piping) and an HKS Blow off valve all ready to go. I'd sell the engine to you and install it for V$3200 which is hardly making me money as is. That will get you to your 310 wheel easy and the engine has only 45,000KMs on it and has been well maintained, so it'll last you well so long as you're not doing much more to it.

Realistically the stroker kit will easily put you over 310 with a good tune and turbo kit, probably more like an easy 400 on medium boost. At that point it will become a bit more expensive as you'll need more upgrades and you'll be looking at a new ECU, new injectors, and a tune as mentioned earlier. If this interests you then we can go ahead and do it. The 3400 is including all the supporting mods mentioned above and includes the turbo install labour, but a full tune will be an extra V$500 and we'll do it right.

If you're only looking to make 310 you would actually be able to get away with it on stock NA block and I would recommend that if you don't want any more power than that, just do the turbo kit alone properly and you'll be set. So lastly,

3. We can install the turbo kit and tune the car for you to run healthy for just $600. That should be good enough as I explained earlier and I don't want to charge you a bunch of money for things you don't need, I'd rather do it right but to the customer's liking.

Those are the options I have to offer, let me know if any of them interest you, but if you do eventually want to make proper power then I recommend that you go with the first option because making more power on a built engine will be more reliable and easier than making more power off stock block and turbo kit. I just don't want you blowing your engine up, trust me I've been there :))

I will come pick up the engine with a pickup truck and anything else you need to bring, then we can at least get the car's old components ready and start prepping for the swap. Will be hard without the trans because we'll need it to test fitment and create mounts, but as soon as you get it we should be able to start with the new engine going in, if the old is already out. I'll come by tomorrow whenever works for you and get everything. :D

# Kazern : i need a complete 2jz bottom end that is stroked etc asap can you guys get anything

I have one already built, it's a 3.2L Jun stroker kit. The kit itself cost me an arm and a leg so I could only really part with it for about V$8500, the kit itself cost me V$7900.

Up to you, sorry if it's not what you're looking for. If you can find yourself a kit and bottom end then we can build it for about V$500 in labour.

# dxg1997 : I can install the engine. I'll do the V$3200, and I'll pick it up. Look for a white Mercedes-Benz Sprinter with some AMG wheels.

If you're installing it it's only V$3000, don't even worry. Cheers man.

Unfortunately not at the moment, only vinyl work right now. Sorry about that man, hope you can find somewhere that'll do it. We'd like to eventually open a paint booth but we'll need to upgrade shops for that, so all in time. Good luck :)

Took a look last night, going to start on the tear down pretty soon. Car looks pretty good so I have no real worries or concerns about doing this swap, the only real issues that we will run into will be some minor fitment issues and making sure everything lines up exactly where it should be. Oddly enough these B5s seem to have a bit more room for the 4.2 than the B7 RS4 does which is factory with one :)) The real thing I'm worried about is the drivetrain, but there are many quattro parts available and it's very do able, just only done engine swaps on AWD cars a few times. Can't wait to get to work on this thing, it's going to be awesome. I'm planning a German V8 for one of my own cars soon enough :D
