can someone enlighten me what exactly happened in the past for those sites to go from being a great neighbor sites to arch enemies? i haven't been much active in the past few years so therefore i dont understand what exactly happened because back in my days whoever wasn't online on VStanced was on streetlegalmods.com and vice versa, i remember Grudas aka JC being super active on streetlgealmods and being a moderator there i guess? i cant really say because it was a long time ago.

i've even noticed that those sites are not even displaying each others friend site links anymore like they used to back in the day, im not registered on streetlagalmods, just had a quick look there to see if the site still exists

I have noticed this too and I thin as the community that helps this place keep running, I think we deserve to know. Ever if it's just a dumbed down version of what happened. I've quite streelegalmods now because of the lack of content and activity. I came here and sure, most of you are nice, but its a better place for the game. On streetlegalracing, I'd wait up to three days to get a reply for any thread. Much better here now. No offence dave.

Well i'll make it short;

> I was admin on both GOM and VS and liked(and worked on) both like if they were mine(and i still do here)
> GOM started going down the shitter
> I tried almost alone to keep it running but at some point it was totally fucked up
> I contacted Singh(GOM's owner) so that he could fix the site
> He came back and broke the site even worse than how it was
> He fucked up with all the moderators/administrators kinda saying they was the reason of the site being fucked up
> I've been called any sort of thing for posting my mods linked to VS
> JC helped Singh to fix the site by giving him a lot of savvy suggestions
> Singh kept saying that everybody, even though they helped him keep the site running and in shape, was haters and tried to make his site go down the shitter

1st breakpoint

> Singh started STE(Street Tuning Evolution) campaign
> He excluded every other SLRR site from it and from any decision about it
> We complained since 90% of modders(at least good ones) are rather on VS than on any other site
> We've got access to "the headquarters"(a hidden fb group were we could discuss about what we needed and what to do)
> We complained about him setting an excessive goal for a base game
> We've been mistreated and told we are haters and we were the cause of the campaign being unsuccesful
> We got the piss and abandoned

definitive breakpoint

Mind that this is a very short of the story, not going to say it all again(also because i'd not really like getting a bunch of pm's or shoutbox posts from Singh back with the same old shit).

Pretty much :) add to the fact that game base goals were mental because he was trying to fill his own pockets, expecting the community to fund the game etc and then kept telling that it was "for the community" when in reality it was for him, he simply assumed that everyone will jump in, with no view, info of what is happening, how it is happening or why the goals are at such mental amounts and just paid their money.

anyone who disagreed with his views was called a hater, butthurt etc.. any comment on VStanced shoutbox would result in a PM to me saying that I hate the site where from my POV, members of VStanced are allowed to express their opinion in anyway they want, and they won't get a ban for disagreeing with something.

It was simply easier/less drama for me/VStanced admins to move on and leave GOM on it's own! it sucked because I did spend a good amount of time helping him get the site going smooth, moving hosts, suggesting way to optimise it etc!

Oh these sweet old days... I remember I was a moderator on GOM like for 1-2 years, was cleaning shit, fixing posts (mostly download section like bb codes and shit) and then I was removed to "VIP" group with "u're useless as moderator" reason. I was like "uwotm8" and left gom. Sad story (actually not lol).

I really appreciate how you have told us all this and here's my point of view. I have Dave on FB and Steam and to me, he's a great bloke, and I know you guys may differ in opinion. I've never been a big/well known part of the community, however, I've always been here. For what I knew of him, I liked, but there were a few things that bugged me. He seemed a little single-minded. He only thought what he was doing was right. As BB said, he didn't take suggestions very well. Another thing was the campaign. There was little to show and such a big target that he thought might fall into his own hands right before him. I made sure to help the campaign, I shared all the posts I could, I told all my gaming mates about it and I even won the fan-art contest that was officially held. Really disappointing that it never became a thing to be honest. Now another thing, While we are all on this topic. The VIP mod section is perfectly fine. I get that there are people who deserve the mods a little more than us but to me, and this is just my opinion, it is a little overkill. I thought it was a place where upcoming WIP mods can be shared amongst a group of trusted dudes to give feedback and help around. I never saw it as a place where people can say they have something that we never will. It frustrates me greatly when I go to the Car/Part search and I ask for a particular mod that I saw in the Show of your Rides section, and I just get "Jeeze it's been asked a million times your never getting its VIP" or "VIP, never releasing it to public". Seems a little rude to me. I understand that there are tonnes of great mods that are available for us to use and I can't explain how grateful I am for these mad mods, but the number of VIP mods mentioned is off the scales. Every second comment in the Car/Part search page is "VIP". Now I know this isn't going to change just because of me but once again, this is my opinion and as much as I respect your points (Moderators and "VIP" members), I am entitled to it. Cheers guys and keep up the good work on maintaining this site.

he's fine until you disagree with him ;) single/narrow minded is perfect word for it.

there's no VIP mod section on VStanced, DS has been closed/not in use. The "vip" mods are between people, it's simply modders sharing their unfinished mods with their mates, VIP is not the right word for this.

but this discussion is completely off topic.

Ahh I see, I was not aware of that. Was it publicly announced? Either way I understand and that's completely acceptable :)

and i may add.... darkside was about sharing unfinished mods to get some feedback and suggestions from other modders, then once it gets finished, the mod will get public released... it wasnt meant to host VIP mods...

To put it in short words..

He's very arrogant, sarcastic and generally give stupid answers for whatever reason. (inb4 i'm an asshole too)

I was an super admin or whatever there too, I had been on GOM since about 2009. Then suddenly I, together with alot of others admins were suddenly stripped of our admin ranks and so on without any proper reason as of why, and now currently most of the admin team are random people nobody know or has ever seen, and a few *cough*idiots*cough* who shouldn't have been given any admin rights. I won't say any names but, yeah.

He himself steered GOM right into the shitter if you ask me.

Bigg Boss93's post pretty much covers most of it :)

Something out of place.

Gotta love admin rights. Relocked.
