As on the title, this thread is useless so dont even bother reading it... xD

Been doing some tests with slrr scx files, i learnt almost everything about them already, i only edited chassis' paintable material in these pics, so check them out:

Stock

100% reflection

100% reflection and edited reflection texture(i picked one randomly from the original loading order)

100% reflection, edited reflection texture(as above) and edited diffuse texture(still as above)

18% reflection(stock), edited reflection texture and edited diffuse texture

I can also edit specular and glossiness level and self illumination.

Are you wondering what's the use?

Simple, all the "good mods"(aka good looking model wise) can be now fixed by applying proper materials via hex editing plus the reflection texture can be changed to be like my mods, so having a separated texture for fast matte on cars(drop on the textures folder and enjoy the matte).

Indeed a cool would be tool, there are two main problems tho:

1. I'm not able to make any tool for this kind of thing

2. Most modders are too lazy to give proper names to their materials, so if they kept the stock "# - Default" name from max it'll be quite hard to localize which one is the paintable(unless you have the .tex file or go and check yourself on the rpk)

No, i explained that already, it's a custom reflection on the paintable(just like on all of my mods).

Well actually that's a unique version of Joe's e36, something he did just for me. :P

But wait - you told that this is way how to fix "good material" mods. And you edit the ones that are really good... Makes no sense...
C'mon, show us fixed "good mod" like this
