just click on your material and tick the "2 sided" box in the first drop down, where diffuse colour, specular etc is.

remember that 2 sided materials double the amount of polygons, so i suggest to unly use 2sided where it's really needed... otherwhise you'll end up with twice the amount of poligons than the model really has....

k, can't open it in max 5 or 2010.
but if you download my paintable material and use that it will work, unless it's a problem with the mesh. |

# Jesus Christ : k, can't open it in max 5 or 2010.I think the problem is mesh, because I already use your paintable material |

ok, just detatch your paintable part again, load up my material and apply it without changing anything, no general.dds files etc.. just my material + make sure it's set to be 2 sided.
if it looks ok in max it should look ok in game, your current paintable setup is a bit odd and not what I have submitted to downloads.. :o |

My advice: Especially for things other than windows, don't bother using 2 sided. Use a 1-sided material, copy the part & reverse the normals. That will probably give you a bigger file size, but it also has the added bonus of making sure the faces are all valid if you ever have to re-import the SCX.

I suppose this is what you need to do with 3dmax 2010 etc exporter for SLR Then.. if it doesn't support 2-sided, you'll need to copy your mesh, flip the normals(in the modifiers) and that should be it.. ish |

Well as far as I know you can use the shell modifier too, but that will make some small errors in the corners.
