It has been two weeks since i last posted here. Managed to do a whole project ( was supposed to post a bit before leaving to holiday and then the finished one but oh well ^^ )

This is how it looked before putting everything on

the work started. Took me hours to put the fenders on

bumpers and skirts were much easier to put on

it was relatively a small project the car was in fine condition stock. Just had to apply the RWB parts. Some engine and gear tweaking is left. But unlike my Evo i doubt i will be selling this one

Phase One

What's up guys? I'm back on it but unfortunately only a quick update this time round. (A couple of my screenies went missing for some reason, this the only one that survived.)

Ever since the last outing at Kanagawa, it has been pretty much just a restoration of the car bit by bit. The biggest job done to the car was rerouting the whole oil line to an oil catch can and swapped to braided brake lines just to ensure that most of the car still survives after a good thrashing. After that, it was pretty much just a matter of making the car a just little bit more pretty. Bit by bit, I straighten up the panels, aligned the headlights and tucking wiring harnesses behind the dashboard.

Rather annoyingly, both front fenders, rear bumper and exhaust were just gone to shiite. Annoying because I have to spend quite a hefty sum for the front fenders alone as it is a rare pair from an ex Top Secret demo car that found floating on the interwebz and it would be mental of me to not buy them straight away. Feeling a little less lazy, I hopped about several wreckers in search of a rear bumper. I managed to stumble upon a standard rear bumper on top of a set of r05rr rims and I just thought to myself whether I should get the whole lot or just the bumper. Remembering that the car was on loaned SSRs from Go Fazt Garage, getting the rims as well would be a lot more sensible. So brought the whole lot to the office of the wreckers and I was charged at an eye watering amount because qoute "it was from a mint half cut from Japan." As the parts arrived at the shop, it was a pretty swift job swapping the parts off the car. And we come to the exhaust. Not very fond of burning a deeper hole into my pocket, I got a steel rod that was lying at the back of the shop, cut it in half, welded some hangars and onto the exhaust. With all the things done to the car, the S15 now looks at least half decent albeit with mismatch panels. And with the shotgun exhaust, it sealed the title of 'all noise and no go.'

As you know, this is my big All Event Ready Project S15 in which I intend to compete in various forms of motorsports with this one car. Now the first event I aim to tackle is grassroots drifting. That's the obvious choice as it is pretty much open to anyone. I've just submitted an application to the drift competition in Valo but unfortunately, I cannot compete until I find a replacement rear glass as mine are missing. Trouble is, I can't seem to find a decent one anywhere. If anyone has a spare, I'm only able to cut a tight deal as I don't really have much to spend on the S15 until I get some funds through competition.

You can get RWB kits without nakai san... The fact that there are RWB shops all over the world now. You think they just have a RWB garage open and just sit there to wait for an order and then sit there till Nakai san comes? There are quite a few shops that build rwb cars. If you want Nakai san to do it you pay way more. But hey go be a dickhead over a game :)

Also i am looking to buy these wheels

It's a biggie and rather wordy. I do apologise in advance.

Household Rivalry

Every now and then after knock off hour for me, I would sometimes bump into my beloved girlfriend at the intersection heading towards the motorway, just outside Industrial. Some would say it is inevitable as I work in the Industrial area while she works further in the Business district and both our commute go through the motorway. However, if you remember, she drives my old Mitsubishi Ralliart Colt a.k.a. The Turd while I on the other hand daily a converted Subaru WRX. No surprises on what happens everytime we enter the motorway. With a relentless 2 gear pull in the WRX, she just becomes a speck in the rear view mirror and from time to time we would reach home, with me smirking with a lighted cigarette and her huffing, puffing and giving me the finger occasionally signalling that there will not be any happy ending for the night. However, all the smugness on my part are about to turn premature.

Recently, The Turd has been rather inefficient as it shows clear indication that it was all tired due to high mileage. The girlfriend been telling me that the revs just take forever and changing gears were beginning to be a nuisance as the gear lever resists her movement. She then suggested to trade in The Turd for another car. Trouble was, daily driving a subie and building a project S15 isn't what you call cheap but I can't give this excuse as she would probably flip a table and ramble on priorities over the S15. Besides, she has yet to learn the bill that the S15 landed.

Rather cunningly, I replied to her that The Turd was of her asset when I passed it over to her and she could do whatever she wants to it. I remembered that at the corner of my eye, I saw her face sparkled as the statement came out of my mouth.

"You mean I can trade it in on my own?!" she asks gleefully. I nodded with a hint of confusion. She skipped off into the garage and sat about there until I retired to bed.

It was a saturday afternoon and I was just going about the house doing chores as the girlfriend goes out for groceries as we do every saturday. Today was different though. The girlfriend came bolting through the front door, screaming my name and telling me that she has a surprise for me. And there it sat on the driveway.

A 1997 RX-7. This wasn't a surprise. It's just plain horror this. I asked my girlfriend what is going on and as I fearfully predicted, she now owns an FD.

The whole car looks remarkably clean all around apart from paint chips on the front bumper. A quick look around shows that it was sitting on RX-8 R3 rims wrapped in Michelin PS3s, series 8 RX-7 Spirit R brakes and RE Amemiya exhaust.

The same goes for the interior. No wires or vacuum lines with aftermarket gauges strung about and the seats seems to be reupholstered. It was almost hard to fathom that she managed to bag a nearly perfect FD.

A quick look under the bonnet diminishes my doubt of her purchase. This car was well taken care off. I was in such shock that I believe that I did come a bit strong on my girl asking about the price and lecturing the woes of owning a rotary.

"You know I have savings right? Besides, I think Rexy is rather pretty." Not even a day in and the FD has already got a name. She then goes on to explain that she has been paid well and the Turd did cover a hefty sum of the FD.

"From now on, I'm the one who's gonna leave you behind when we are on our way back from work. Who knows, I might just reach home a lot earlier than you do in the future." Yes, it is cheeky. However, it's hard to ignore that she already has plans for her newly acquired car. Even as it is, I doubt the WRX could match with the FD.

P.S. thanks to all those who read through and I apologise again for those who didn't.

@Zex, Great FD man! You better mess with the engine on that WRX to keep up xD Does she know how bad on fuel Rotaries are?

So, here's the shop truck. Just your plain old 4.3L Vortec V6 4x4. The back end is sky high because I put HD springs from a 2500 Silverado back there. It sits perfectly level towing the SN95, or any other car around that same weight. It has a measly 210 hp, and doesn't like towing shit up hills. Might do a diesel conversion. Like, a turbo diesel V6, which I don't think has ever existed with an engine this age. Idk, i might do something to it, but for now the fugly color on this truck, and the minimal hp, will have to do.

I can do basically any kind of wrap you'd like me to do, any colour that you see fit. I can also do logo/stickers for your truck. Would cost you $2000 to $2500 at my shop, which is fairly cheap. It really depends whether you want to paint it or not, and what seems more worth it to you.

So it's been a busy week at the shop, and when I'm not working at the shop I'm helping my girl out with her car. We're working hard to get it ready to compete at the Ebisu Drift Bash this weekend.

Here's a photo from last week before all our work started.

and here's some photos from yesterday;

To do a quick list of the work,

-Complete S13 front end swap with triple projector headlights, juanky aftermarket wide fenders, & replica Vertex front bumper (or inspired by)
-BN sports inspired replica side skirts?
-Type X replica rear bumper
-BCL Wing
-Custom rear tail lights
-Custom rollcage
-Fire safety system
-Passenger Recaro from an Evo X

Note, this car is not meant to be a show queen, it does and will continue to be trashed, so replica parts are used as to not destroy genuine parts & to not spend extra money on destroying name brand parts.

Here's how it looked this morning.

She will be painted and ready by Saturday morning for Ebisu Drift Bash, I hope to see some of you guys out there as I'll be running my S13 as well.

@dxg1997 Thanks man although its not of my purchase. From the look under the bonnet, there was already a HKS intercooler and I suspect the car got a boost up reflash as well when I did a small test drive gauging that it has about 300 or so horsepower. Now my subie was a NA 2 litre and even after I converted it to turbo, it barely touches 280 bhp. As you can see, she has a slightly more powerful and a much more lighter car. I'm gonna have to do something to hold on to my dignity before it flushes down the toilet. I suspect she does know the trouble of owning a rotary even before I address her on it as she assured me that it is coming out of her pocket alone.

On a side note, it seems the trend here is that our "missus" own rather decent cars while us, the man (I presume we all are), own crappy, tattered, rusty, faulty and look like it came out of a unicorn's butthole heap of a junk. But then again, I suppose that's why they're called projects. Cheers on each of yours guys!

Hahahah you would be 100% correct, my girlfriend drives a very clean stock Altezza while I drive ratchet ass drift cars.

Also, I tore out some of the stock crap in my S15, the handbrake, OEM shift knob, stock vents, and OEM steering wheel with airbags. Zexeffect let me know if you want any of these things for your S15 seeing that I won't need them anymore.

I had a custom hydro e-brake setup done by the guys at VStanced Garage, they gave me my car back within two days. Very professional service and quality work.

I bought a Nardi Deep Corn steering wheel from a friend for $250; a hefty price for a wheel, but I couldn't pass up a genuine Nardi wheel, and clearcoated in that beautiful purple gradient, I had to have it. I also bought a pink bubble shift knob for $50 off eBay - these shifters just look so good.

And finally, even though the stock SR20DE was fun to just daily around or get on it once in a while, the stock 165 horsepower wasn't going to cut it for long. I parked it in the shop and decided to go turbo. I decided to go with a proven setup, so I decided to go with a Holset HX40 twin scroll, the same one as in my RPS13.

It sits on a custom top mount manifold fabbed up by the guys at VStanced Garage.

As it sits right now - I have the turbo mounted onto the manifold, to check for hood clearance. Next step is to get an intercooler and make up the piping.

I'm also starting to look for some wheels to run on this car in the future - feel free to throw me some suggestions.

So i finished the adjusting the suspension on the miata and adding new(well used) body parts, a new Momo wheel and a Bride bucket with Recaro harnesses.
So i towed it to Vstance garage for new brakes and because they're the ones building my engine.

Oh i forgot to mention the awesome ass wing, Ebay life.

On my way home a cop pulled me over and told me that my truck had been reported stolen about a week ago, i told that couldn't be since i bought it a few days ago... last time i buy a car without a title.
the guy i bought it from is now nowhere to be found but luckily the actual owner knows it was him that took it and not me so i won't be going to jail lol.
He told me he feels bad so he'll give me a deal on his C10 with the same motor as the Apache.
Im debating on wether or not i should get it, my Miata and all the parts/work are paid for but if i buy the c10 then i'll be flat broke but it has even more power then the Apache.

(The Apache kept crashing my game everytime i went to buy rims so i had to get rid of it)

alright, guess i can sell these for a much higher price on eBay now >:)

im looking to part ways with the Miata; too much hassle to get running well again. it constantly throws problems at me and I'm really just not wanting to put in the money to fix it. if i can part it out i can make some money as i found a great car that i have some experience working with. So, here she goes. I know a few of you here have a Miata so you could use some parts off my car.

1991 Mazda Miata NA, $4500 or parted out

Turbocharged NA8C motor, 300 whp, $2000
16x10 Work Meister CR's almost new, all around, $3000
Straight chassis, $500
Full 6 point rollcage (comes with the chassis)
Mismatched paint

# marcus915 : alright, guess i can sell these for a much higher price on eBay now >:)

im looking to part ways with the Miata; too much hassle to get running well again. it constantly throws problems at me and I'm really just not wanting to put in the money to fix it. if i can part it out i can make some money as i found a great car that i have some experience working with. So, here she goes. I know a few of you here have a Miata so you could use some parts off my car.

1991 Mazda Miata NA, $4500 or parted out

Sold, $4500 in hand I'll come pick it up as soon as you're free.

Do it for the ratchets

Sweet. Glad you can take it off my hands. A friend of mine has a car he doesn't want anymore and I want to buy it since it's quite the steal.

Test fitting the Mishimoto intercooler, and selling my stock S15 wheels. 17x8.5 spec on almost new tires. $1500

(Restarting the RP because it was stupid in the first place and my new idea is better imo.)
Hey, I'm George. I live and work in Osaka, Japan for 5 years now since I moved here from Valo. This is my car: A 1984 Toyota Sprinter Trueno "AE86". I have it since I live here.

Yes, it has some battle scars. The left fender, headlight and front bumper are replacement parts because someone ignored the red traffic light and crashed right into me. The hood was red, too but I've painted it black to look more like the AE86 in initial D. Same with the sticker on the driver side door. Technically I haven't done much to it. The front brakes are 275mm Wilwood, a new muffler because the old one rusted through and of course Watanabes to boot. Safety inspections are pretty harsh here and you have to make sure that your car is in good shape. The headlight mechanism won't work (died 2 years ago but I had never the time to figure out why) but the headlights themselves are alright.

The engine is the stock 4A-GE Bluetop. Thanks for reading all this stuff XD

Pretty cool, soon to be 86 twinning. I picked up an 86 Zenki coupe, pics and specs later.
