Hey guys the builds are looking great. @facepalm cant wait to see how your racing career plays out

3 things have happened since my last post:

1.evo
Small modification to the evo. The HKS Hi-Power exhaust system. small 15 hp gain and a lovely deep tone

2. S14
A small ebay turbo kit and a cuso LSD ready to tear up the trackdays, she is now rocking about 330hp

3. New Car???
Yes that is correct, I have indeed bought a new car. Initially started as a track car, this FC3s rx7 was abandoned motorless and nowhere near complete some 6 months ago it came with coils and a big brake kit. with 230K miles on the body this $1200 project has some big plans in store

dxg installed the RB26DET into the 325 touring and it fits like a glove. As it was made for that car.

I've taken it for a short spin on the drag strip and it seems that the engine is tuned; It puts out 400hp and it is very fast! Now I'll strip everything that is not a drag car and will install the fuel cell. Then I'll hit the technical inspection and will decide what class I will participate in. I'll also save money for a muscle car.

Yeah, Tom's Bimmer was a pleasure to work on. You keep that thing CLEAN. I had no troubles installing the relocation brackets for the engine, and slotting it in there. I did put a mild tune onto it, but if you want, I could tune it up a lot more for free. I think that turbo and engine is capable of roughly 800 bhp. I got an old fuel cell sitting around if you want it since your making a dragster. I have no real use for it, and I'll give it to ya for, say, 25 bucks.

It has been several months since my last post and all work and dedication has gone into the fc3s.

this 3,017lb car has gone on a diet, now weighing in at a smooth 2,800. Improvements to the chassis have been made as well including a 4-point roll cage. aero performance has been enhanced, the headlights fixed and holes cut into the bumper for functionality and a carbon fiber wing to increase downforce. this machine also features a ls3 with independent throttle bodies, built by the same guys who long ago built another ls3 for the LS-Onevia. giving a significant power increase over stock, but slightly skewing the front to rear weight bias (69/31).

This car was built to withstand all challengers, as I hold the spot 10 in underground racing scene. @facepalm I cannot wait till we meet.

Meh. Small update.

I haven't done much with my cars lately. Only vehicles I have now is my S14a, ER34 & Camaro. I'm giving away my ER34 away for 8K. It includes:
- Rims on the picture
- Full URAS bodykit
- RB26DETT (rest of the engine is stock)
- VStanced suspension system
Rest of the car is pretty stock, nothing much changed. Mileage is 165,560 KM (car's imported from UK)

A quick review of what happened the past week:
I acquired position #18 while cruising at a mountain while disguised.

I acquired position #15 by beating a man with his sons.

Next up, position #12, and then #11!
I'm going to face a bunch of kids who think ricing is tuning, and then I'll face someone who truly knows what he's doing.

Added 56 minutes later:

I went up with #14. I was really PISSED off.

YOU. DON'T. RICE. A. CHARGER! He was so confident that he would win, that he called my Skyline a "black riced out piece of shit."
I raced him for pinks. I won.

But I was surprised that I won. I mean, it's a Charger, it has a V8. I could have sworn that when he started the car, there wasn't that nice V8 engine sound. I was praying for it to have a non working V8. I was just PRAYING.
Next day, when I picked it up from Connor (He's responsible for everything pink slip related), I decided to check the engine.
I was shouting and screaming, and I could have sworn I threw a wrench at a fucking fire hydrant.

IT.
HAD.
A.
FUCKING.
INLINE 4.
ENGINE!
I was fucking pissed off. I felt scammed! I took it off and sold the engine IMMEDIATELY.
Then I covered the ugly as fuck badly made stickerbomb shit on the fender.

Will do. For now...

It brings a tear to my eye how well you've taken care of the R32, You're the kind of person i want to sell my cars to.
I've been searching my ass off for a car since i sold the R32, but i can't find anything of interest, the Eight-six is not fast enough for the racing scene and i can't seem to find anything that fits me, i was thinking of an AW or an SW but those are just 4 inlines, i would get smoked by anything that goes over 4 cylinders. Maybe a Supra but i can't find any stocks ones, all have been fully tuned and way out of my budget and others are just to expensive. I've seriously been going to work on my Mountain bike. This is getting pathetic..

@Facepalm, duuuuuuuude, i love your stories man! They feel so real and worth following!

You know, the Opel Manta I went against was quite a competition. And from what I've seen, some ranks further are V6s and V8s! And some V10s too!
@Snowfox Thanks man. It's really nice to hear that.

Added 29 minutes later:

And a last small update: I decided to begin working on it. I redid the camber, and painted the fender.

Cool; I'll go to Phoenix, AZ. There is a place called: Desert Valley Auto Parts. Do you want to join me? It would make it easier finding the right engine for your car. I've been there before and it's like a Mekka for classic US car lovers. If you want to stay here, I'll try to find a 440 or something similar.
If we're lucky we can check out the auction. They sell all kinds of cars.

No problem; I'll pick up a tarp and I'll come over with the Sierra. I'll bring my trailer. Grab some cash and I'll pick you up tomorrow morning. The trip will take a few days; Phoenix isn't around the corner and I bet you want to explore the place a bit. I know some good motels and restaurants down along the interstate.

Will be cool to see how much the performance picks up with that Charger once it has a proper engine in place.

I did a compression test on my Porsche and it came back even but low across all cylinders, like I was saying last time I was going to dig into it to figure out what was really going on I picked up a cheap complete gasket kit at Napa and did a little disassembly.

So I guess it was built with 2.2L connecting rods to lower the compression so it can run more boost safely without needing a lot of tuning.. or I'm over thinking it and the previous owner was just an idiot. I got it put back together reusing whatever rings and gaskets were good and replaced only what I had to after seeing those rods I was already planning on pulling it for a full rebuild.

And now to start searching for a master rebuild kit, if I can I'm going to upgrade the block as well if not see what my mill can do with it.

And a small update on what happens next:
#13 forfeited because he crapped his pants, which means I go directly to #12. This is all I know about #12:

I don't know this car, and I've never heard of it. But it looks interesting.

Turns out the engine being a Duhen might not be the worst thing, getting parts turned out to be very easy since it's just a standard production engine. I have a brand new 1.8L head and block coming, full gasket/o-ring set, new water pump/oil pump and belts as well as the proper rods and new piston rings, bearings, and ARP fasteners to get them installed correctly. It's going to be a pretty plain build but done with precision and making sure it's all nicely balanced, here's a shot of the bare block!

I'll try to get some shots of getting it all together but will be doing it myself so we'll see, can't wait to get it on the dyno after.

Added 4 minutes later:

# Facepalm : I don't know this car, and I've never heard of it. But it looks interesting.

Definitely looks like it has a lot of work into it, tires don't seem all that wide looks stable though pretty long wheel base.

So, sold the Volvo diesel thing. Now I'm down to the Regal, Subaru, Evo 6, and FrankenLevin. Gonna set up some suspension in the Regal, lower it a bit and put some sticky tires onto it, and challenge #11 in the underground circuit and see if I can jump right into it. I really trust my car has enough power to beat the guys LS3 El Camino. He only has a mild tune on it (I actually did the work on it) and it makes about 450 bhp in a loose chassis. My T-Type makes about 500 in a really nice chassis. I got a frontal shot of the Camino when he came to pick it up. I'll try to find it. Idk how he got that high in the ranks, but I'm gonna knock him down a peg!

-One month later.
I finally got around to beginning the single turbo swap. I only took one picture for now but I'll take more as I go along. I'm swapping in a relatively small turbo because it's just going as a simple replacement for the twins, nothing too extreme. Today I removed the old exhaust manifold, exhaust system and the other piping. The Valve covers are coming off for a repaint and I'm replacing the headgasket with a new aftermarket one. Check it out-

Old stuff out, Virtual Works Ceramic Coated Exhaust manifold and a GT3076r in.

@Tom Diablo, thanks for the offer but i'm gonna decline it, i found something that suits me :)

After reading all the street race stories it has got me pumped, i want to race, i want to win. The Eight-six isn't a race car so that won't do it.
after looking on nearly every site i started to regret i sold the R32, i was desperate. so desperate i almost settled with another Eight-six. then just as i was about to give up. i found a street tuned car. Tein Suspension, Brembo brakes, nice 17 inch rims and a hell of a JZ engine. i bought myself a Supra. nothing flashy on the outside but that engine runs great. it's tuned for daily and track days. it produces around 350hp from what i've been told but it feels more like 300hp.

after driving around Valo City at midnight i stopped at the night races just to watch untill this punk in his beige Silvia S13 started talking shit about my Supra and how Nissan is superior and he's number 20 in this scene. i challenged him for cash, 500 bucks.
guess what, i owned his ass. when he handed me the cash he was dead silent, i told him never to underestimate a car by it's looks.

on my way home i stopped at a gas station to fill up and i saw this weird AE86 Levin that stood high on his wheels, after paying i walked back and i saw him staring at my Supra from his car. so i went to him and asked him what's up with the rides height and if he raced it. after a few minutes of talking i found out he was #19 so ofcourse i asked him to race. to be honest i had some trouble in the corners, low powered light weight versus a big ass Supra was tough but i managed to beat him on the last corners, so i guess that means i'm #19 now

Finally got the suspension done on the Regal. Chopped the springs, and got stiffer shocks. Picked up some 332 mm Brembo brakes, and some Vossen 18" wheels. I think it looks awesome personally, but what do you guys think?

Only took a few days to get my rebuild kit in and the block and head delivered, I got the 1.5L out of the Porsche and torn down for the parts I would need to transfer over there looks like there is still some room to upgrade the engine itself after this build if it's needed.

I got the bottom end built and balanced as I went it all came together really easy. It's a fresh 1.8L block with the 73mm crank, 146.4mm rods, 1.5L pistons.

The head is brand new as well and all that I modified with that was the exhaust ports for a bit more flow, I didn't want to change the intake ports to keep the nice low end torque since it's my daily.

Here it is all back together with the Super Turizmo turbo setup and basic fuel rate tuning using based on 100 octane.

...and back in the car, loving how easy this compact I4 goes in and out of the back of this Porsche.

Dyno day to come can't wait to see the new numbers still doing the break in but another day and it should be ready! I also have another sort of big upgrade on order but I'll show that off once it actually gets here.

Warning! Boring tech post with no car/engine pics! Warning!

Made it out to the dyno earlier than I expected, thanks to all night driving to get the new block and head broken in.

It's up over 100hp and gained a bit more than 65ft/lb the torque band is amazing here's the dyno print out, didn't make any passes with raised boost it's still at the same 1 bar it was running when I got it since I have no extra springs for the wastegate.
The first one is when I got the car and the second is the 1.8L I put together,

You can see just how much the compression was raised another reason I'm not ready to start raising the boost, it'll need a piggyback unit or megasquirt something functional that won't cost thousands and need all new sensors for the engine.

It all held together and ran well strapped to the dyno so I took it over to the test track after for a few test and tune passes.

The rear shocks will need to be changed soon they aren't liking how much weight is being transferred on hard acceleration which means the front end should probably be lowered a little to keep good road contact with the engine in the back don't want it to start floating now that it can get up over 150mph, felt crap your pants scary at 170 and still gaining.
The first one is the new data and the second picture is when I first got the car,

Took down number 17 today, this pretty sick R34 i drag raced, i was so happy when his start was sluggish i knew that couldn't be the almighty GT-R system, luckaly for me it was just a GTR body kit. even tho his start was bad his engine made up for a lot of it, i just won by a second

I also replaced the intake/exhaust camshaft for HKS ones, did the valves and springs as well now she runs perfect again. but since i knew the competition would be getting more difficult i also installed a NOS kit, i personally dislike it but i'm gonna use it as a last resort.

i ran into #16, and after a small chat he accepted my race, just a simple rolling start race at low second gear. the new cams worked like a charm. The Supra is flying again, took him down to.

but as the races became more tense the wear on my tires did too, the grip became sluggish and the rear wanted to break out if i'd take a corner with force so i bought a set of SSR rims, a new bucket seat and i installed a used roll cage.

Hello there, long time since I've been on this forum. I've missed it, though due to computer troubles, I haven't been able to upload (aka My game was wiped)

As I am back, I figure I'll update you on my most recent purchase and build. I started a long time back with my Integra, which was in an accident, then my Subaru which I've since sold, as well as my E36 and my R32 skyline.

A little while back I found this beautiful S30 chassis sat in the back of someone's shop. I was told that the owner had left it there about two years ago and never bothered to come back for it. I called him up and offered him a little cash. The day after I went to pick it up and bring it back to my garage. This is how it looked.

The car came with half of an old single cam I6, so first thing I had to do was replace that.

In goes this fresh RB25DE that I found on Kijiji. The owner claimed it makes about 200hp. If about means 50 less than, well then he'd be correct.

After a little over a day of hard work, the new engine was fitted nicely into the engine bay.
Now it was time for paint. I began to do some rust repair and then sanded down the paint to prime it for a new coat.

Then I fitted a splitter.

With the car prepped, I sent it off for a proper paint job.

Lights were then installed, along with new windows and some black bolt on fender flares.

The car sat like this for about a month until all the parts I needed for the suspension were in.
I stripped out the old suspension completely, replacing it from the bottom up. I made a choice that many people will probably frown upon.

I put the Z on air. I nearly went static, but at the end of the day I like the benefits of air much more than the cons of coils.

I then took it for a test drive, not too far away from Valo City.

Aired Out

and no air

So there it is, my build so far.
My plans are decently simple (so far)
New wheel set up,
Engine rebuild (Maybe turbo??)
Body work
More low (I want to scrape)

Thanks for taking a look, keep your eye out for progress.

Do it for the ratchets
