What are basic things a modder need to know when he want to make a car? How do the physics and glows work?

What exactly do you want help with? If you'd like help through the whole process, I can contact you on Skype to help you through it.
You're going to need 3DS Max, for starters, so grab it if you don't have it. I'm pretty sure you submitted a mod already, though, so that's not a problem. The basics, in my opinion: Materials: Read a materials tutorial on here or on GOM. Paintable materials are not too hard to set up in 3DS Max, but then getting the loading order correct in the RPK is super important. Scale: It's really important not to make the car too big or too small. Generally, for your first car, it pays off to import the car to the game in one piece to see if it's too big or not. Physics: Export everything centered on the grid, and everything should work nicely enough. The real problems start happening when the car you're replacing is way bigger or smaller than the source car (Baiern, Nonus, etc.), or when the parts aren't exported centered. I haven't made custom physics yet, so I can't help you too much with that. This post was edited by Harrison15 (2014-08-01 22:40, ago) |

# KeeJay : What are basic things a modder need to know when he want to make a car? How do the physics and glows work? I can do the scripting but not for the RPK and such only for the javas and cfg. |
