So SLRR Editor gave me an error earlier
 I've never gotten this error before. The only way I've found to make it go away (temporally) is to remove and re install whatever car it is. If I install a new car, I can edit it and it works fine, but if I go back a second time I get that error. I started an entirely new game with almost zero mods and I still get it. I've also re installed the editor several times. Any help? |

Same problem
 Added 1 day later: Any other ideas? I just completely re-did EVERYTHING. Re downloaded he game, and the editor just like when I first did it and I still get the problem. This post was edited by vwscirocco (2013-05-02 01:31, ago) |

did u run the slrr editor as adminstrator? Also you need Framework 2.0 to run it.

i used to have the same problem but i fixed it when i realised that resconvert and resdecode wasn't in the same folder with slrr editor.exe . Hope this helps. |

# FJ : Try to get framework 2.0 ------> *LINK* I uninstalled 4.5 and installed 2.0 and still nothing I went through my entire SLRR and computer to see if I had accidentally made a copy of resconvert or resdecode and could't find anything.Also, I opened both decode and convert and this is what they said. This is the first time I've opened them so I don't know if this is normal.  Added 7 days later: Small update on this, I've noticed on some cars I don't have this problem. If I do it on the '66 Nova, it works every time, but on the majority of all my other cars I get this error. If that helps at all. This post was edited by vwscirocco (2013-05-09 17:05, ago) |

You extract the resdescode.exe and resconvert.exe to the Slrr main folder

you're sure that you have installed .net framework 2.0...
and you try compatibility mode and run it as administrator |

# Torres1895 : you're sure that you have installed .net framework 2.0... Positive I have 2.0. I've installed it twice haha. And yeah I've ran it as admin and it didn't work at all. What has me lost is that one day it just up and quit working. No mods were added or anything. Editing the wheels and turn radius and things like that still work, just making it so I can add other engines doesn't anymore. |

Some cars make the editor that way. Like the scion TC(Drag version). The editor works fine on every car before, and as soon as I try the TC is has the same error. My theory is some cars have false/bad commands/scripts that cause them not to be able to use the editor, meaning you can't add engines. Say I'm wrong, but the only time I've occurred this error is on some cars (Scion TC)etc.

But what confuses me with that theory is why when I re-install the car would it go bad almost instantly? I can only assume it's something wrong with the editor in general. I've started entire new games and re-installed all my mods to see if it fixes it and it doesn't. I just don't know if there's any other files in my computer that belong to the editor that I can delete to try and refresh the editor, if that makes sense. |
