It was such a great experience to watch all the drifting cars in glory!

It would have been much better if we brought our drift cars, but being at the event itself was surely fun anyway :)

Added 25 seconds later:

# Lagano :

May the 4th be with you

Last saturday was one of the best ones ever! We were at a drift event in Stroud like you already heard from me or the other guys, we also got another visitor that joined us and even managed to get himself a car to drift! It was Franklin which was also coming from Japan but he actually originates from the USA. I guess this was kind of a home coming for him then, despite being in a different state. Anyway, let's move on to what was going on that day: We got to the track at around 8 in the morning, the event was scheduled at 10am but we took our time to set everything up. Yuan brought some tools and spare tires in the Silverado, then we set up the place and prepared the cars. That said, the ones on the track were me with the Chevelle, Muza with my AE86, and Ben with his C63 AMG, AJ and Marc were riding shotgun in some runs. Soju and 11k drove their cars to the venue but not for drifting, i guess their cars are not really made for that. They had a point though, because at every drift event here is also an impromptu car meet with the spectators' rides which can even turn out better than a fully organized one! That Supra and E36 grabbed a lot of attention for sure! :D

Muza and i did some warmup runs to get used to the car, track and everything. The track itself is actually just a huge skidpad with cones (and skid marks) marking the track layout. There are no curbs or any other things to hit so it's a great place to get a hang of drifting, that's also why i didn't worry about Muza driving the 86 haha. I've been driving it more on drift events lately but the corners here are quite wide and long so i thought i'd have some more fun with the Chevelle!

Several cars joined in soon, and there was a large variety of them! Well the majority was S13s and S14s but even those were modified in many different ways. Some were almost stock...

...and others were full blown drift cars, commonly with an LS swap. Speaking of that, there was also the Holley LS Fest in Las Vegas, Nevada. I was keeping an eye on that event too but why would you go all the way to Nevada if you have a local drift day? Still, i hope i can go check it out some day, with all the potential of the LS engine and its aftermarket i'd love to get some knowledge about it. You can definitely find something interesting there, for example a rotary powered Corvette :))

A few moments later Ben took his C63 to the track, at first everyone was so confused!! Sure, there are also a few stock cars but those are usually beaten up 240s or something equivalent. :P However after a few laps they saw that the Merc is a good contender even in stock form. It has the power, and Ben knew how to use it!

One of the more powerful stock cars was also this Camaro which was doing pretty well too! Like the C63 it's a heavy car to throw around but hey, everything can be drifted with enough skill!

I mentioned that Franklin got himself a car too, and he took it to the track pretty much right after buying it! :)) Well it's just a stock Mustang but he still managed to make some nice drifts, and not running over a crowd in the process.

When i stopped to change the Chevelle's tires i took a walk around to check out the cars and participants, i was interested in who's running in the competition too. I also saw this 240SX which was already familiar to me, and probably all the locals too. Its owner helps with organizing these events, i had a chat with him a few days before the event when registering for the competition. I was glad to see him in person too cause he's a pretty cool guy all about grassroots drifting, also named Ben! He lived in Japan for some time so when it comes to drifting he knows what's up! With that experience he wants to connect the American and Japanese car scene, and that's pretty much what i'm doing at the moment! :D Well in my case it's only for a few people but they should tell the tale to their buddies in Japan too. On the other hand Ben is trying to bring together as many people as possible by making drifting videos, check out his channel here!

Although he's really into the Oklahoma's drift scene and goes to all the local events, he's not going for the competition. He said it's not really his thing, and like i said he helps to get the event itself up and running. That doesn't mean he doesn't drift! His 240 is all set up for it with a wider and lower stance, great steering angle and even a LS1 swap. It's mostly stock and makes just enough power for drifting on small tracks, and it probably has more than enough torque to handle this one too! I like that despite being a drift car it keeps a clean look, well the Type X bodykit is quite mainstream but here it fits really well with the wide fenders and wing.

After some more chit chat we prepared for some tandem runs, we changed the rear wheels and we were ready to go!

Tandems were mostly present later in the competition, well i considered this as a practice run. Back in the day Ben has won a few competitions and drifted on many nearby events, it was obvious that he gained plenty of experience!

Then it was finally time for the competition. It was kinda like Formula Drift, lead/chase tandem runs with 3 judges picking the best driver after each round. Well it wasn't really FD in terms of the cars, drifting angle and proximity but it wasn't that far either! There were some very skilled drifters with heavily modified cars and it was quite a challenge to keep up with them!

After a few tandems and shredding a few sets of tires i ended up 9th! I'm actually quite impressed with the results, given that there were surprisingly many competitors. Also the Chevelle might've been too powerful for this track and it was a bit hard to control it sometimes. Then again, the 86 probably wouldn't cut it for this track either, i'll have to take advantage of it at OMC or Mac park though! Or maybe i need something to fill in the huge difference between it and the Chevy, something like this mildly tuned SC300 here. Now that i have a Supra for a drag car it surely tempted me to build my SC300 this way...

Anyway, this was an awesome drift day as always, even if it's just a local thing it never fails to deliver! This year i hope i can be present through the whole season, not only because of the competition which adds a lot of excitement but also because of the cars, the people and the atmosphere! I think that's the biggest difference compared to more professional events, everything is more laid back which is totally my style.

*LINK* I also found some footage of the event, it has some great drone shots!

YAMP it was a really fun day, packed with A LOT of people, I was impressed by Muza's low power drifting skills, linking a few mid-to-high speed corners without straightening out, and our Ben's C63 seemed to just LOVE sliding around haha. But man oh man, that Chevelle frightens me, with that much power and your MADMAN skills, I still have the adrenaline pumping, it's a real shame I didn't get to ride in the other Ben's S13 though. Oh well, there's always next time, like the upcoming barbecue!

Road trips are awesome. Always worried the intercooler is going to get too heat-soaked, but I'm pretty confident in both my cars.

(Maybe I need a naturally aspirated car or something? Hmm, project ideas...)

Anyway, I'll be there.

Anyway, sounds awesome.

I'm not sure if Ziga would bring his AE86 again, but I think Franklin(well, Franklin) will bring his Mustang SN95 again. I might bring my Foxbody as well, after all it needs to see some track action (well, probably not sideways though) before I decide if I should bring it back to Japan or not :D

Track time!

Hallett Motor Racing Circuit, 17th May

Benny managed to get ourselves a track day for the boys from Japan to have some fun with their rides before they head back. That was also a great opportunity for my R32 to get some well deserved track time! I've become quite familiar with power outputs upwards of 1000hp but this was the first time i unleashed them all on the track! It's a totally different thing than letting them go on a drag strip, i'll tell you that.

Ben was there with another GTR, his mighty R33 as you all know it. However it wasn't pushing all it's horsepower, i believe he tuned it to a 700-ish HP RWD setup which lead to a few drifts on the track!

It had a set of good grippy tires though so Ben could still make a few great lap times.

I was quite surprised by the R32's handling too, the R888 tires and Tein coilovers surely did their job! I had another set with me so i went all out in some corners :D

And yes, there was also Lydia with another beast of a R33!! Name doesn't ring any bells? Well, it might be because last time i've seen her she was a guy named Harrison. I know people change over time but i didn't expect such a difference. Anyway, she also put that R33 to use with some amazing runs!

I think her R33 was also detuned a bit because she had to drive it all the way from Arizona, it still looked quite powerful on the track and made some nice pops and bangs!

11k was also looking good with his E36, i saw that he had some skill from the gymkhana events! Well the tracks there are usually slower and tighter but his knowledge was very useful here too, he nailed the lines in some corners!

Soju managed to surprise me as well, his Supra is more of a highway racer but with all that weight reduction it turned out very agile on the track! All those aero bits provided him more than enough downforce to keep him on the road.

He pushed all of that boost on the straightaway in some laps, i'm glad he has a proper brake kit to slow it down haha.

Last but not least, there was Yuan with his Foxbody! He kinda made it a GT with the Modular 4.6 swap, that was quite a power boost for it since it's very light for a Mustang! He handled it on the track like a pro, i could definitely tell his experience from tracking the Evo 3. Despite all the body roll he managed to keep the racing line and hit the apex in the corners, sometimes he even drove on the curb and did a bit of 2 wheeling like with his Evo once!

Another thing worth mentioning is that the Mustang had completely stock running gear! Including some old tires, and that had its consequences a few times lol. When braking in one corner i think the rear wheels locked up for a moment and it threw him in a massive drift, Smoke handled it like a champ though and made a little smoke on the track too!

All in all it was a ton of fun again!! There were also Muza, Marc and AJ with their LS swapped RX7 but i didn't manage to get any photos because i was riding along too much haha. I'm glad y'all enjoyed it, and thanks for the visit again! :D

The Foxbody is quite a jelly of a car I should say, it rolls and wobbles on corners :))
Once I've got the hang of it though it was quite fun to explore the limits of the car :D
I was even surprised I could push it that far! I don't know if there was any parts falling apart during the run sooooo.......

And once again thank you for the invitation, it was fun and memorable to be with you guys. Cheers boys! :)

Konichiwa!!!

It was a true blast with our friends from Japan and Korea, I mean literally we didn't had a second of free time....
Track days and touge days were awesome a lot of fun, I enjoyed smashing the C63 on the drift day and I enjoyed the R33 on that track but I overdid it which I will say more about later on.....

I will kick this update with the 1994 Toyota Supra A80 N/A Automatic with 350 000+ km on the odometer......

I had Ziga help me take out the engine out of the shell strip it down check the situation, give a detail inspection to the shell and go spent 5 days in front of a computer to order all the parts for the car....

Some parts came from USA, some from Japan, some from Europe and some from Australia and New Zealand.

Here is a list of all the parts that we ordered for the car :

    Used OEM Limited Slip Differential
    Used OEM Drive shaft
    Used MT C0009 350Z/G35 Transmission
    TRD Transmission and engine mounts
    A80 front strut tower bar
TRD Radiator, oil filler and fuel caps
    Denso PK20TR11 Spark plugs
OEM Rear and front wheel bearing kits
OEM Rear and front brake pads
OEM Rear and front brake discs
    OEM Rear and front springs
    OEM Bilstein shocks
    OEM Power stearing pump
OEM outer right and left tie rods
    Brake calipers rebuild kit
    TRD Shifter knob
    TRD Boot cover
    TRD Front bumper Lip
    Toyota Supra Turbo badges
    OEM Toyota Timing belt
    2JZ Gasket kit

That was the parts list and here is a list of the basic stuff that is needed on the car :

    Engine clean up
    Engine oil change
    Diff oil change
    Transmission oil change
    Brake fluids change
    Power steering fluid change
    Clutch fluid change
    Coolant change
    Oil filters
    Fuel filters
    A/C Filters
    Timing belt

So after inspecting the list of parts and jobs Ziga said " Hey Ben I know how much you love that Supra and want to fix it but we can not go bankrupt on it so I am putting a V$10 000 budget for the stuff"

In the end he smiled cause I managed to bring some money back hehe...

1st day :
So the first job was to clean the inside of the block, pistons, rods, crank and everything else that came under our hands.
After cleaning the engine we took the gasket kit and started assembling the engine again.......

At the end of an exhausting day we managed to put the engine back together and attach the clutch flywheel and transmission.....

2nd day of the service :
Then Ziga went somewhere for 2 days doing some errands (tbh I think he was racing somewhere without inviting me ) meanwhile in the garage I spent 2 sleepless nights installing the mounts, engine with transmission, driveshaft and the diff....
After the installation I installed the exhaust back on and removed the wheels to overhaul the brakes.

4th day :
Engine - check, transmission - check, driveshaft - check, diff - check, hmmm lets go for a drive??? Nah no fluids and no wheels.
After taking the wheels off and overhauling the brakes on Day 2 and 3 I noticed that the hidden brake lines are corroded and decided to spend some additional money on steel brake lines. Surprisingly Ziga decided to help me so we spent day 4 doing the brakes and we successfully finished....

Day 5 :
"That is when they realised that they fucked up!!!!!"

So basicaly what we were supposed to do was replace the shocks, springs, bearings, all that kind of stuff and then do the brakes..... WP For us hehe...
Day 5 : Remove all the stuff that we installed on day 4 GG WP!!!!

Day 7 :

I skipped day 6 cause you know what we did, replaced the parts that needed the replacement and installed back the parts that I did on day 4...

On this day we had all the essential parts that a car needs to be a car and started to change all the fluids....
For the engine we used Castrol 03072 GTX MAGNATEC 10W-30 5 quarts, for the transmission we used Toyota 08885-01306 V160 Transmission oil 2x1L, for the Diff we used Castrol Axle Limited Slip 80W-90 2x1L.
For the power steering we used Castrol 03520C TRANSMAX DEX/MERC ATF 2x1Gal, Clutch and Brakes Castrol 12614-12PK DOT-4 Brake fluid, as for the Coolant we used Toyota 4Life Red 3x1Gal.
As for filters we used genuine Toyota for all of them....
Next on the to-do list was to install the Denso PK20TR11 spark plugs, the new caps that I got and the front strut bar.......

Day 8 :
After the engine Service we decided to spend some time on the inside of the car....
We replaced the gear leaver leather with the TRD Boot cover that we got and the TRD knob, inspected the interior for malfunctions

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand finally the moment of truth.....

We cranked her up.......
But final after 37 tries and 1h of trial the car cranked from the first try hehe......
We let her warm up and took it for a easy cruise around the garage and it felt great everything works how its supposed and no noises that are not supposed to be there.....

It took us around 9 days to get the A80 runing again but now we hit the goal and we are proud.....

Couple days later I was talking with Ziga about the future and what happened to my R33 (Which will come in a moment) and his phone rang, he said only Yes, yes,yes and "I am on my way" and left the building.....
I didn't knew where he went but it was time for payback..... I took my favorite drill and wrenches and removed the genuine TRD Spoiler from his Supra and installed on mine immediately.

Psssst don't tell him I covered the supra's up so he didn't see anything yet :D
Ziga if you are reading this....... Payback is a B****

SAYONARA SAN-SAN

Writing the name of this chapter brings back tears in to my eyes, so you can guess what could possibly happen.....

On the way home from the track day, I was the last guy in the line to leave the track and decided to take a different route and blow some steam off that I had accumulated on the past few weeks......

While cruising at 50MPH, suddenly a BMW M5 E60 appeared and started flashing his lights, I turned my right indicator and slowed down for him to ower take me, but instead I got a bump on the rear bumper and a fuse in my brain snapped..... I started accelerating, but he was too and we were neck and neck I had my throttle on 50%, he thought he could take me, I wanned to let him take me but in the end from the rage from getting bumped for not wanting to race told me no this guy can not go in front of my precious R33 and so I floored it.....

While chasing me, I had to slow down due to a car in front of me, he didn't wanned to wait for me to overtake him and be in front of him again he pushed it too far, spin out and ended in somebodys field (he escaped uninjured)..... While driving with all that rage for a unknown reason I decided to give it a full go on the street of oklahoma and see how does the R33 behave there with the new setup....

5 miles later I was looking in my rear view mirror for cars, because I had a semi truck in front of me which I wanned to overtake. That was the time when I noticed that my car just puked all oil that it had in the engine trough the exhaust....

I stopped the car, called a friend with a tow truck to tow the car to a location which I didn't said to anyone...

I don't know why the engine puked, but I knew that I overdid it.....
I towed the car to the docks and saw Muza and AJ loading up their cars and told the guy to wait for them to finish and leave...
After that we loaded the car and I told him to ship the car to JAPAN!!!!!

This is where I am going to stop....

I don't wanna give up too much info now but just stay tunned more things are going to happend over the next few weeks...

Also tomorrow I have a flight to Bosnia to take care of some stuff and to attend one meeting in Germany with my cousn to present the shop with some builds but the photos will be when I get back home.

The Supra repairs costed me V$5916

Lagano will do the full finance stuff cause he is our maths guy, I am just the wrench nowdays due to me beeing phisicaly unstable due to me destrojing my preciouse San-San

Don't worry about the TRD wing, i'm about to get a drag wing for the drag Supra anyway lol. Too bad about the R33 though, let's hope the boys in Japan will bring it back to life!

Welp sad to see the R33 is out of the action for a while :(
But Japan? I can smell something very, very big is going to happen with it...... I'm going to prepare all my number nines for it ;)
Also thank you for the invitation and the shotgun ride inside the R33, cheers guys!

I laughed so hard to the fact that you stole Ziga's TRD wing, therefore] giving you both aero upgrades! :))

I'm glad we all had a blast! And yeah, one day you guys will return the favor for sure ;)

Three's a crowd

A week before buying those project cars you've seen a glimpse of, i went to a local Drift school event! I didn't really learn anything new but there was another fun thing to do, teaching people how to drift! Ben was one of the instructors too (well, Benny and also the other Ben that i met at the local drift events), we showed some local guys the basics, followed by several drifting moves and techniques using different track layouts. Some were drifting for the first time, and some already tried it on a few local events. Later they also went for some runs with me in the Mark 2. Yeah, the 86 might be better for this but i wanted to get the feeling of drifting a more stock-ish car, also to match with the learners better. They had some pretty interesting rides too, for example a FB RX7 and a R32 Skyline! One guy even managed to drift a Mazda B2000 truck :)) you can see them in action here! *LINK*

Moving on to our purchases: As some of you have guessed, it's a G35! It has some front end damage but hopefully the suspension and everything else stayed intact. Though i won't complain too much as the whole thing cost only V$400.

Benny got some sick plans for this which he should tell you about eventually, so stay tuned!

Benny also got this idea of daily driving something exotic. As if dailying a JZX90 Mark 2 or a 900HP Chevelle wasn't interesting enough... :)) Regardless of that we both got ourselves something a bit more luxurious on a salvage auction in Texas, because running cars like that are just too expensive. So i got this Porsche 911 Carrera S, a 2006 model with only 54k miles! Like the G35 it suffered a hit in the front, but i'm afraid this one was a bit harder. The hood and bumper were pretty much done for, and the windshield got cracked somehow. Worst case scenario would be that the frame bent and popped the windshield out of place. The car supposedly runs and drives but i doubt that from the looks of it. I'm surprised that the left headlight stayed intact though, well the mounts probably broke but whatever. I already got to searching for parts and found out that they're pretty damn costly. Well, that's the price of having a car from such a high end brand.

And the absolute madman that Benny is got himself a Lambo!!! A 2015 Aventador, to be exact. Now it may look all good from the outside but if it was really like that, this beast wouldn't be in the garage at the moment. The reports say this car was flood damaged, and it can be a nightmare to fix. However Benny did some extensive research on the accident report and found out that the car had gone off road and into the water but wasn't flooded completely. He said the wiring shouldn't have got fried in this kind of accident so hopefully we will get this thing going!

Benny had to let go of the R35 for these 2 exotics but hey, we might both end up with a better car after all!

Oooooh the drift school session must be a hell lot of fun! Mark II looks handsome ripping there as well :D
Also glad you're still able to be in contact with Ben (or should I refer him as Kame Ben/Turtle Ben? :)) )

YO HOLY S**T YOU GRABBED YOURSELVES SUPERCARS?! :O
God dangit this is quite a new envision of tuning I should embrace. Lambo looks particularly healthy as well, despite uhh.....mistaking a local river for Monaco's Swimming Pool and becoming a submarine for a while :))
Good luck for the project boys!

Now, to find a local junkyard and similar websites in Japan...... :morncoffee:

HIGH ROLLERS THESE GUYS HMMMM. Looking forward to see you guys restore those exotics back to their factory glory! It'll be pricey and it'll require A LOT of elbow grease for sure, whether or not that effort will be worth it is subjective haha

And of course, JZX90 drifting, ALWAYS entertaining! Any future drift plans? More daily mods maybe? :P

Good evening, ladies and gentleman's
In tonights episode of "How To Get Broke in 50 Second"

"An Aventador is hungy and eats up all the money

"MK IV Supra refuses new parts"

"A Skyline which actually is traveling more then me"

"And a car which is gonna get gutted"

Gonna kick this off with the MK IV Supra.....

After a lot of thinking we decided to keep it original, and get all period correct parts and everything that was featured on the A80 Supra from Toyota.
I have talked with @SoJu few weeks ago about some parts that I saw on a A80 on facebook and he named them all to me, so here is the shopping list that we completed.

Toyota Supra A80 Kouki Front Bumper (OEM from Japan) -V$400
Toyota Supra A80 SEIBON Carbon Fiber OEM Hood also from Japan -V$975
Nissan 300ZX Targa Tops also from Japan -V$210

Yep you read it well, it said NISSAN 300ZX TARGA TOPS, after some search we found out that its easy to install them with minor modifications since my supra was allready a targa top......

After we received all the parts and installed on the car we finaly placed the TRD front bumper lip which I bought a realy long time ago but didn't wanna install on that zenki front bumper.

In this episode of supra rebuild Ziga again stepped in, last time with the TRD rear spoiler this time with a wicked set of BBS LM 18x10 set for my Supwa!!!!

Next up on the list is the Infinity G35.....

Well actually there are no pics of the G35 but there is a pic of the E34 instead cause one part from the E34 is going in to the G35.

So here is a teaser for the G35 we are going to use the V10 out of the E34, we gonna get the FLEX FUEL SISTEM, so we are going to run Ethanol and Regular petrol, Haltech twin tune ECU which will allow us to use a tune for when we are using E85 and tune which we will use when regular petrol.
Sadly no turbos here, we will just fiddle with the engine to try and make a bit more power than supposed.....

Next up is the R33....
I packed the car and shipped it to Japan, to a friend which works at a familiar location....
I sent the car to @NIATROSS, actually to NISMO but he happened to be the one to get that JOB.....

So him and I talked on purchasing a R34 GTR V Spec II Nur I engine for the R33 and to give it a little bit of NISMO madness....

And so he did, the final product is Tuned at 550, can turn it up to 650, but for safety reasons this time I decided that 550 is enough.....

Here is what NIATROSS and NISMO did to my R33 With the bill....

    R34 RB26DETT engine + R33 transmission
    Greddy Trust twin turbo upgrade
    Aluminum piping all around
    New injectors and spark plugs
    New nismo fuel pump
    HKS Cone filters
    Nismo in-house full exhaust
APexi PowerFC ECU with dyno tune
    Koyorad radiator
    Nismo front mount intercooler

All of that list of nonsense to most of the ppl costed me -V$15000 with the tune.....

2 weeks ago IRL I happened to be at another location with a guy from Canada which actualy owns an R34 GTT Skyline and would like to get it LHD (Like I had on my RP), so I gave him for "KAGEKI RACING" which is located in Czech Republic. So we rung it and they answered he talked with them and made a deal for his R34, and thats when they asked about the find, how did we found out for them, and I said that I do a Role Play using 1 game and using irl stuff for mods etc etc, and they told me that due to getting them a customer I get one product from them for free....... I went for a LHD kit for my R33....

The car was prepared, staged and shipped a week ago to Czech Republic for the LHD Kit to get installed and the car's USA ETA is 09 Aug 2019.....

So far that should be all the changes on the R33 for now, here will be some small cosmetic changes in august but that will settle it up....

NOW THE PART THAT YOU ALL HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR!!!!!!!
THE MONEY PIT!!!!!!

2015 LAMBORGHINI AVENTADOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So after a really long isnpection we found out that the fuse box needed to get replaced and most of the fuses thanks to the stupid driver that sent the car for a swim in shallow water so only the electrics under the trunk (hood) got fried, but for safety reasons me and Ziga sorcer a full wiring harness, fuses boxes with all required fuses and a new battery from "Exotic Auto Recycling"
for -V$3000
It took us a week to get everything fixed up cause the wiring on the Aventador requires 95% of the car to get removed so you can reach them but WE DID IT!!!!!!

The car runs great we did a oil and filter change, replaced the coolant and brake fluids so we are 100% shure that we wont blow up a 1/4 mil dolar car...
After some test drives I conviced Ziga that it needs a new set of rims and thats when Ziga found out that I am not sane at all....
I went for Brixton Forged HS1 rims, 20x11 in the front and 21x12.5 in the back....The rims and tires for it costed me -V$8047

It was really a great time to help you sorting out parts for the Supra :)

And the R33 getting LHD swap is quite surprising!

The Lambo looks even way better with those Brixton wheels :)

Woah you guys are really cooking some serious stuff (and money) over there! :D

A V10 inside a G35? Once again a revolutionary works from Side to Side, you guys never fail to amaze me indeed
That Lambo looks soooo savage as well, those Brixton wheels suits the car very well!
And glad the R33 has finished it's Japan visit, though now it has to do a trip around the world. But hey, after all who doesn't love free stuff?

Very German Update

ft. Chinese parts

While we were sorting out Benny's Lambo i also sourced some parts for the 997! First i only focused on replacing the broken parts in the front but then i decided to go all out and totally transform this thing, having a rebuilt title later on it will drop its value anyway so there's no point in keeping it original. A very noticable part here is this VIS Racing OEM Style carbon fiber hood i found at Andy's Auto Sport. If i have to get new body parts, why not save some weight while we're at it? ;)

And the weight reduction doesn't stop there! I managed to grab a couple of FRP front fenders, amazing what you can find on AliExpress. Well i only needed the left fender but OEM parts keep a very high price, even in used condition so aftermarket is the way to go on this build.

One of the best finds was this RUF front bumper! Also one of the most expensive ones but like i already said, that's the price of car brands like this. I really like those LEDs that came with it too, not sure how i'm gonna make that work with the car yet but i'll figure it out eventually.

Moving on to the rear, there's this huge GT3 Cup style spoiler that you may have seen peeking out in the last update. I've always loved the look of it, seeing it on 997 GT3 rally cars across Europe. Looks like it's adjustable too, that's quite a cool feature! With this and the carbon hood the 911 is definitely getting a track car look.

A GT3 rear bumper would be a great match to the wing but i ended up with one from a 997 Turbo. I was looking around the internet but most aftermarket bumpers were for the facelift models, if i got one of those i'd have to replace the taillights which i don't really like that much anyway. This Turbo one is even supposed to be OEM, however it was not in very good condition so i sent it to a local body shop to get it fixed and fill the gaps where those ugly bumperettes used to be. The result is a good looking Euro-spec bumper, they did one hell of a job! Now i just need a good exhaust system to match it.

After buying that bumper i remembered another part from a 997 Turbo, those nice side vents for improved air intake and engine cooling. Mine is a naturally aspirated Carrera S but i thought it would be a nice addition! They're from some no-name Chinese brand so i kinda doubted the quality but when i got them they were legit carbon fiber! However this exact 911 didn't have any side intakes so i dropped the car off at the body shop to make them fit perfectly and provide some more breathing room for that boxer. Despite the newer Porsches being water cooled it still needs some more Luftgekühlt :D

Exterior wise, i think i got a great package overall. Now the only parts left are some wheels, even if the stock ones look great but they don't suit the track vibe this car's about to have, and a windshield. I've looked at a few options already and again i'll have to get an aftermarket one, and probably from China again lol. I've looked through a few forums and videos and found out that a Fuyao glass is a good aftermarket alternative with OEM quality! That's actually a major brand which also makes windows for many car brands so i'm sure it will be a good choice. :)

Looks pretty much ready to go from the outside but there's still some more work to do. Now the frame is intact but the front left wheel seems a bit off, i'll have to look into that and maybe upgrade some suspension parts in the process. Well, the 911 being a world-famous sports car already has a pretty good suspension setup but you know, there's always room for improvements!

And here's the next German that i wanted to tell you about for a while now. I basically haven't touched it since the boys from Tokyo helped me out with it, but we've done some good progress at that time! Notice the different bucket seats, the Mk4 R ones were alright but i wanted something a bit more oldschool for a change. Luckily i found a guy in a local VW group who's building a Mk2 show car, we traded the front and rear seats and the dashboard with steering wheel. I still have the Mk4 door panels though, even if i'm aiming for a simpler build it's still good to keep some features like power windows, for example. :))

With the dashboard i also got this aftermarket steering wheel which suits the car well, not sure if it's legit but i don't mind really. Another mod there is the radio but again, it's cool to have a few modern things on board! But then again, i'd love the original radio with some oldschool casettes playing... B)

We also managed to make the transmission work! The Golf runs and drives just like it should, especially with the new KW coilovers and FM control arms we installed. Before that i also got a set of 225/45 R16 Yokohama Advan Neova AD08Rs on those Regamasters, the previous tires were a little too high profile. But since then, i guess i ran out of time to complete it because of the other projects, especially the 997 and both Supras lately. Don't worry though, there will be time for every car in this place, i'll at least clear the dust off the Mk2 for now. ;)

These two haven't changed a bit either but we've had some fun with them at the drag strip. The Supra feels very similar to the SC300, just with a little harder suspension and a few more horsepower. It definitely needs new tires though, launches were not so good as i thought. For now we're more focused on that one peeking on the left :)

And one more JDM legend not to forget about! After some discussion with Benny we decided that we will sell it on somewhere in Europe because the market for rally inspired cars there is on fire these days, and because it can't live on in America sadly. The front bumper fixing is still in progress, and the wheels need to be refurbished. It's the same issue here - too many projects. A few days ago we also checked its engine and replaced a few fluids to keep it like new on the inside just like it will be on the outside!

After we were done with assembling the 911 Benny suggested to go for a drive with his Supra, you know i couldn't say no to that. He threw on the plate from the Golf so maybe it will raise one or two eyebrows less than a Supra with mismatched parts and no registration would. We headed out through the outskirts of the town so we had less worries and more space to floor it. :D We were later joined by a few local friends who were quite impressed with it, especially by the fact that it comes from Europe. I mean, people here in the USA usually import a Japanese car from Japan after it turns 25 years old (maybe also earlier in some cases but i'll pass on that), i guess they just want that JDM feeling. A better reason is probably the price though, with the prices rising each year around the world you can still find a few cheap examples in Japan, due to higher availability. But if i have a choice i'd go for a left hand drive example, after all you drive that car on the road and having the steering wheel on the other side can be a problem, especially if you're going to a drive-thru! :)) Well the US Supras, modified or not, have reached insane prices so the guys have to find some sort of alternative.

If you look at it from behind where all the parts are in the same color, apart from the wing being in a different shade of silver, it's really a sight to admire, even in a pretty much OEM shape which Benny will hopefully keep. Suspension stayed stock too, we had a bit of body roll through the corners but the car still feels very responsive and agile thanks to the new OEM suspension parts. It could use an inch or 2 of lowering though, not gonna lie.

The Supra drives like a dream, now it just needs some exterior touches to become road worthy. I can't say the same for the 997 though, that one may need some extensive suspension work. Have a good one! ;)

You guys basically brewed a homemade GT3 RS there, which is a good thing :))
I mean it does have those intakes for NA engine and big wing taken from their race version so that definitely counts :D
Also tell me, how light Fuyao glass is? I got no money for Lexan obviously :))

I didn't expect that Regamasters can fit classic Golfs yet it did and blends gracefully! :D
And sad that the Evo is going out from the collection, but eh, here's hoping it'll see a better life

Rad! Hard to tell that the goodies on the 997 were ordered from AliExpress, but up close it looks like a bit of refinishing will improve the parts a lot haha. MK2 is looking solid! And of course it's really epic to see JDM legends like the JZA80 and the CP9A
