# BigSmoke : Aw man sad to hear the Y33 dead and in pieces :crying:
But hey, at least you (a)got some money back from insurance and rentals, (b)have your SR back almost in one piece, and (c)got a pretty decent replacement! :D
The S13 looks so, so solid after fine tuned by your hands

How's the 86 going by the way?

the y33 had a good run but it definitely is sad that he's gone at least his heritage will live on

The 86 is fine also going to do a post on it later because a few things changed

# Niatross : S13 looks pretty damn solid like Smoke said!
and with that powerplant, its no slouch either OuO

Also may i ask which part of Japan you're settled on? if its somewhere near Tokyo, feel free to come by our place someday ;)
myself getting a new S13 hatch, and AJ's S-chassis' would make an epic SR20 union

thanks and yeah the sr is definitely fast but I'm kinda waiting on a new turbo to pump the power up

I live near Fukushima which puts me at 20 min from Ebisu and run a small tunning shop there

definitely should get a hatch but aj's isn't going to be CA and if you get one ill be glad to build and tune it for you

# Nightrunner : Aye , welcome back my dude . So sad to hear that Y33 is no longer with us :crying: :crying: :crying: . However , the RPS13 looks fucking good , We could go for a little drift sesh on ebisu sometimes !

hell yeah just HMU and we can go skidding

New Whip...

But first Some backstory So after Christmas I decided to rent Blackout at Ebisu for Drift tourists since I was using the 86 way more and a couple bucks would be very helpful and since it was with a friend of mine who was going to run I wasn't concerned too much and if something happened the contract had insurance But I was sure to remove my r33 wheels cuz I could so he went for over a month fine and when I was free of clients I used it to give some drift lessons for sum bucks But the thing is something happened one day a kid got too excited and went straight reverse at turn 1 (after the Jump)and after he hit the barriers the car flipped so my friend called me to check.

So I just called the insurance company and they decided that the car was done since the frame was bent and lots of welds were broken and since on the contract it wasn't for a street vehicle the handling of the wreck was on me which allowed me to save the engine which went out almost intact except for the intercooler, radiator and water pump who were destroyed when it flipped, the Mustang Brembos, The bride's and the steering wheel + I got the 5500 dollars totaled prize from the insurance plus the 21 days of rent the car was rented at $100 a day and the 12 courses I did wich I charged 150 for the full three hours and the rent discount got at $75 the final math is

Insurance Prize +$5500
Days Rented +$3000
Classes+$1800
Costs:gas and others -$300
Total = +V$10000

With all that money I decided to look for S13 Hatch shell and got one with all panels and interior for 2000 a very nice deal because the guy had blown CA18 and needed Some money for his drift car so I got a pretty good clean shell s13 perfect for my daily project it was a 1990 charcoal metallic type 1 the shell had 132.000 kilometers but was in pristine condition such as the interior no cracks just the natural wear.

First, the car was entirely stripped to the shell Stich welded and got a full 6 point roll cage At D1 SL regulation just in case. Also fixed the minor rust spots and dings on the body nothin than half of a week of short sleep couldn't get done.

While working on the engine I also got replacements for the damaged parts on blackout's old SR also managed to get a set of eagle rods and a Greddy intake manifold from a friend which in total cost me around 800 dollars but the Sr is now ready to put over 500 horses

Exterior wise the car is almost full OEM Except for the Ganador mirrors -$200 Custom made roof and trunk spoiler, kouki fenders and taillights -$250, basic rolled fenders and to tie everything a two-tone Oem Black and Aztec Red paint job -V$450

At the interior, there were lots of goodies like a set of Greddy Sirius gauges for $400 with the controller, a Digital dash with the American HUD $200, a Nardi steering wheel and a vertex gear knob that I traded for Blackouts steering wheel, Audio stuff -$300, The hydro which I customized -$100, D-max mats -$100, Bride Lowmax seats (traded for the Gias) and to tie everything a full Ultrasuede Upholster with a F*cked dash

One of the parts that most got tweaked was the Suspension the car received full Godspeed adjustable arms -$550, Custom 4340 Drop Spindles (i made), 4340 reinforcements on the subframes (also me), A set of Tein Super drift Coils And an EDFC Active Pro Controller with all options -V$2200, To complete the old mustang brakes and he sits on a set of Centerlock Hayashi Racing Super Street wheels and Michelin tires -$2500

After all the money I think I have my new daily and it is just amazing how all the carefully planned and executed mods tie together making this extremely low and simple looking S13 a beast, for now, I'm going soft but I still have some future plans for it and a new project upcoming soon.

Economy

Blackout +V$10.000
S13 Spent -V$10.050
x9 Payment +$4320

Another One

As a wise man called DJ Khaled once told: "Another One"... Sooooooo Yes I got another S chassis but this time an s14 as my new project for now but first as always some Backstory. I was getting some coffee on the way to a customer garage and got a call from my friend called Garreth that went like this:
(G=Garreth S=Sleepy)

G: Wassup man u free?
S: Yeah I can talk everything good?
G: Yes everything is going fine do u remember the S14
S: Sure I do anything wrong with it?
G: I kinda crashed it and also blew the turbo decided that it was time to move do u want it?
S: Weeeeeeeeell I can check it out ill drop by after work

After a day doing a custom harness and getting a Gt-R running I went to his place. Personally, this car changed my taste at the S14 body when we build it I put together a 1.5jz that I tuned for 550RwHp back last year it was pretty sick and hella of a clean cruiser the car was a beast and pretty much bulletproof. The history was that he was driving home and the turbo Drain popped which got some oil in the left side of the car making he spin and lose control note: thank god we put the turbo on an external loop that allowed thinner oil to be used reducing the spool time. which meant that the long block was saved but the car wasn't the body didn't suffer from the hit but lots of panels were crushed which at first he tried to replace but got tired of it and decided to sell

As i said he took most of the car apart so while trying to fix it. when I got there he was in a whole another situation sitting on concrete brakes under a shattered cover looking like junk but with some proper cleaning and Blackouts old R33 wheels that I restored it was rolling and got towed to my place which is also New.

There it is just a base 1.5 Jz which is a non vvti 2jz Gte block with a vvti 1j head with some tweaks done by me but pretty much oem this engine actually has a full greddy intake with hks fuel system +1000hp rated a pretty solid base just needs a new turbo and she's gonna be a ripper

The basic kouki tail lights (i think it's a default on my cars tho) with a OEM angled wing that i made back in the day a pretty clean ride as i said just needs some bodywork and a little fabbing then she's gonna be all gorgeous again.

Also, flexin with the 350z 4 pot brembos that we put all around in case we needed extra braking on the rear for some skids

Also can't miss a opportunity to show the S13 sitting nicely on the new Crib

as for the missing s14 bits he actually gave me everthing i needed for the exterior plus a full Navan kit and for the engine I only need to fab a new mainfold and get a new turbo for it so she can run again.Oh this babe costed me 4.5 grand so yeah no big changes

She has a perfect body

So this weekend I went on and threw some work at babe 2 but first a quick photo of babe 1 cuz she looks sooo good on her new garage

So after the last update, I got to work and yanked the Jz and the Getrag outta the s14 because he's going get a full service since it ran over 60.000 kms pushing over 550 horses

Then I started tinkering about going wide or leaving her body stock until I decided on integrated metal flares which after 6 hours I already got them fully done compared to the 3 days it took when I built my first ones

Also went to install the Navan kit on her and dammm that's a clean body kit with the full of Sunday at the shop making sure her body was in perfect condition and applying the first coat of primer I took her home which is only 5 kms to prepare the few things that were missing before paint

also i recently got into a partnership for this build and it is going to be epic...

ECONOMY

Is that a S*pra...

Like all my posts I'm gonna give some backstory first...
Yesterday, after I painted the s14 I let it bake slowly for that extra fresh finish on the paint got the S13 and went home but I got some problems dealing with anxiety and the idea of how the s14 was going to end took away all my sleep so after playing some doom and other games I got myself looking at the classifieds sorted by the price ofc and suddenly saw something for a price that I reacted like this

Yeah there it was gorgeously sitting on my screen and in a not so distant future my new babe

The price wasn't that bad but at the end, it was N/A auto but the styling of the car made me fell in love immediately especially considering that he should survive 15 years of being called a ricer and the km's were low and the car already had some stuff that I could get my money back by only parting it out so I went full pewds and just JUMPED INTO IT

On the morning I called the guys of the shop he was being sold and asked if he was still available I said it will take me about two hours to get there and for they not to sell it to someone else a 5min bike ride and some bucks for the bullet train ticket an hour and a half later I was at the shop talking to the salesman at the end I just told him that I would pay 8.000 dollars cash that I brought with me some talk to the manager and papers and boom here it is my 1995 Toyota Supra Sz

the car is an N/A manual non-vvti but all said still a good car and the Na actually have some mods that upon further inspection I discovered that he has a set of Hks 272 cams and some exhaust tweaks too that's why he sounded like a 1000hp turbo one but yeah considering the Na engine and the Auto tranny it actually is nice to drive I think it's pushing around 220/250 horses which aren't that bad...

The suspension is actually quite nice with a set of tokico coilovers and Top secret brakes that sit into some equip 05's 18x10 and Dunlop direzzas it has very nice handling for a car of its age it did quite well on the way back.

The interior is pretty stock except for gauges, pink Seats and a very 2000's momo steering wheel, oh and he has a TRD carbon panel which is also very cool. the condition is almost perfect with the bonus of it being a non-smoker car

the body is where he shines most with all the various body kit parts it actually looks quite good and is in pretty decent shape

the ride on the way back was where I lost it completely as the more I drove the more I got in love with the car I did took lots of photos of it because I couldn't hold myself on the excitment and I took an actual way longer way but it allowed me to visit lots of cool places to get lots of cool pics

as I said earlier one of my favorite touches of this car is the fact that he remained all those years keeping the style that was each time more a thing of the past and today I see it as an image of where our actual scene came from and I think it is just amazing

My second favorite thing about it and Japan is that if I drove a supra like this at my birthplace it would be a hell of kids telling me to two-step muscle guys trying to race me being called a poser for it being Na called a ricer because of the styling and the list goes and goes...

But here in Japan it is a whole different world driving this car is something so magical because the kids always look and hit other to show it the mans giggle but respect the style of it the elders find funny the way he looks and the girls they love it almost everywhere I stopped for pics there was always a girl that came to say that it was cute it looked good and ask to take a picture with it that's the main funny aspect about this car that I found in any other that I drove

Nice find, quite reasonably priced too! Honestly i wouldn't go for an auto model but sometimes there's no other choice because of the high price and demand for manuals. Overall it looks very well preserved but that bodykit seems a bit too aggressive, if you're keeping it NA i'd suggest you to go for a more subtle look. :)

with N/A manuals going for double even triple the price and mileage and in way worse condition it was a great deal specially considering some of the mods if you grab the cams wheels and brakes that around 6 grand as for turbo i already got something in line for both he and the s14 and the power is surely going to match the look

Damn dude, pre-tuned Supra for less than V$10k is a major steal! :D
I mean yes it's a Auto 2JZ-GE, but these things can be sorted manuslly (no pun intended)

Also I agree on your view towards the Japan 2000s tuning culture, it's basically what drove the tuning culture alive to this moment and more importantly, half of the car culture (I'd give the other one to the classic enthusiast). These guys who call random stuff like this 'rice' and muscle bros are simply uhhhh......less-cultured (NOTE: If you do own a muscle car here and read this statement, don't @ me, I know you're more intelligent than those kind of people)

yeah, it was very nice to deal especially for the condition of this car the only one I found was a stock NA auto but with almost 270.000 kms (the triple of mine) and that car was so bad you could see it from the pics and it was 11 grand.
But this is just so clean even the NA mods are done if extreme care and I really wanna check on the tune of that engine to see how good he was taken care of before you know I sort things manually and with the help of some pressure.

totally and one of the things that made me think of Japanese culture is that the elderly respect is not only for the people but for the culture and all the branches of it and I gotta say i got very close of going to see a mustang instead of the supra because after all, I'm still murican

Actually that is a really nice historic find just like BigSmoke said.

All the aesthetics still retain its era, and despite being NA and Automatic, it still has a room for improvement ;)

Call her Jade...

As said earlier as I went to buy the supra i let the S14 baking it's paint at the shop. When i got back i towed the S14 back home and fitted everything but the engine oh Boy she's pretty. The color i choose was the R34 Nür Millenium Jade so now she's called Jade instead of Babe 2.

Let's talk about the other change that's been done to it i decided that the r33 wheels weren't a match for the wideboy and the brakes didn't allow me to run the 15's i had in dream so after some thinking i called the guy from the R33 i was working the day i bought the S14 and asked if he wanted to trade a set of equip's 01 3 piece that i was gifted to use on the 86 but the brakes didn't clear so we traded my equip's with direzzas for his set of Nismo Lmgt-1 wheels

But when i got them they were in a condition way worse than they are now the barrels were full of curb rash the air was leaking and they were painted black for some reason. So I called my friend that worked at a 3 piece supplier and got new barrels and titanium hardware now the only thing that was lacking was to restore the center by painting it white and re-doing the Lettering.

With the new setup, the wheels are now 18x10.5 on front and 18X12.5 on the rear with the perfect offset to clear the fenders. But wheels aren't everything if there's nothing between them and the tarmac so I bought a set of Advan Ad008's 275's front and 315's on the rear giving it that meaty Stance and the grip to hold the power the Jz is going to be throwing at they.

I also fitted the car with a full 4340 custom that i built on the shop as i'm used to But the biggest difference is that i got in touch with tein and after the S13 they wanted to sponsor me and make me a seller so i got full Super drift coils and an EDFC-Pro kit for half the Price they were extremely nice and we worked almost 6 hours figuring the perfect setup for the s14

If you are asking why I put the S14 Completely back together it was because I wanted to weight it completely to fully figure the new engine mounts that would allow the Jz to complete balance it's weight so I could have the car back to a full propper handling

Now talkin about JZ goodies I already Bought a Full Aristo 2jz-GTE VVT-i and a V161 For the Supra also received A full set of Race bearing for both engines and also full set of Rings and the rest for a full refresh also contacted some of my old friends back in states for the turbos and this mod is gonna be unorthodox also traded my cams for others that accept vvti head's which means that there are going to be two very powerful 2jz's on this Rp soon

A Full Driveway is a Happy Driveway...

If only all The cars on it ran. So yes this is the current state of my driveway lots of cool cars but only one working also one is missing that's sitting on the shop waiting for its next stage wich is gonna be a big J turn but that's on the future now it's better for me to explain why i have a supra and a S14 sitting without the front panels and the engine on my driveway.

If you didn't read the previous update I'll brief you but read it after it has cool info and a gorgeous s14 called Jade. Jokes aside as said i used the fact that i was already building the S14's 2jz that i decided to anticipate some plans on the supra as Smoke said im gonna Sort things manually on the supra wich i took the opportunity to give that Aristo 2Jz that I bought some love and be sure that he's gonna be able to hold the power that i'm gonna be putting into it

Both Cars are gonna be receiving full single turbo Systems with some very weird turbos that will make them very special and their engines also are receiving a full race treatment on the bottom end plus Custom handbuilt manifolds by their owner himself and a full custom wiring and Ecu also handbuilt to keep them Horses very high

As for the S14 also there's a hard to notice but big difference... after carefully weighing the car and its parts I came up with new set of motr mounts to properly balance it since the JZ is way heavier

Stay tuned beacuse tommoorw we'll start putting them back togheter

Running in the 2000's...

Remember That early 2000's mean Looking supra That I got in love with but she had a big heart problem. But now that's a thing of the past she's been fixed and is now way better than last time

The Powertrain isn't the only new thing as you can see one of the coolest bits this car has ever got is this Carbon fiber Hood That was gifted from a legend yes if you recognize it is a top secret hood and I got it From Smokey Himself but how The Fuck do I know smokey. So three years ago when I got here in Japan after graduating I started offering my services as a builder and one day while building a Soarer that was going to run on D1 the owner asked me to get some parts at smokey's shop...

When I got there it was cool Af and got to meet some people Including Smokey which we talked a lot about engineering and engine building and since then we got closer with the time and projects I did along the time and when he saw that I got a supra he offered if I wanted a part I would be more than free to grab after explaining that I wanted to keep the styling of the car, for now, He offered me a hood to replace the stock one and said he was dropping it pretty cool to have Kazuhiko hanging out...

And he, as usual, offered Some Insights at the build Especially on the engine side of it he was actually quite amused By the turbo I chose (more on that later) And gave me valuable insights for someone that's currently using a Stock Block with minor upgrades but he has shop to take care so he left after two hours.

On the list of upgrades of the supra, I also fabbed a full cage for it Since the old chassis is going need to hold quadruple the power he had earlier and some Stiffening is always good but the nicest thing is that I retained the Pink seats

To sort the fitment out i called my new partners to ask for my basic set Super drift coils and the awesome EDFC Active Pro that ting is on three of my cars and I gotta say the level of improvement it gives on the handling is Surreal on all surfaces and especially with proper Suspension components and alignment

Also did a full wheel rebuild with new tires into it and now he has some THICC rubber definitely keeping the Equip's for now but also wanna switch them later for something more modern hotboi

For the final Part, the engine the god born 2jz the internals are all stock the only mods that were done to the short block are race bearings, ARP Studs, Hks cams so I can use the turbo Full potential, Of course I took some time to port the engine a bit because I couldn't hold myself and did the old known hack of washers on the valve springs to Spin this baby to 8000 Rev's. As for injectors, I got some leftovers that I bought from a customer that are able to provide E85 till 1400 horses. Now For the good part the turbo which impressed even Smokey Nagata The turbo I chose DRUMROLL...

Is a VVT Stealth 67G2 Turbo from Duramax tuners seems kinda odd the fact that I'm running a diesel turbo on a 2jz but the is actually very rational the turbo is so incredible because even being a 67.7 mm turbine due to the variable geometry and ball bearing it spools faster than stock twins yeah stock twins start building boost around 2200 and this babe begins an only 1800 and hits full boost (22psi) at 3400 only but due to restriction for it to spool that fasts it loses some power due to backpressure but it is indeed a very responsive car to drive can't wait to get it fully tuned

I knew you'd get a turbo right away! :)) That was an interesting choice, with a diesel turbo you should have good response on low RPM too. And you met Smokey?! Man that's awesome! If he approved your engine setup then you know it's well built. :D

Ofc I would slap a turbski into it, yeah the response is insane its almost impossible to slam the throttle into it having so much boost at low rpm. Smokey was really nice as always and provided me with some valuable tips as to control wear

If Smokey approves your build then you should be proud of your tuning wizardry man!

And holy number nines man why did nobody thought about having diesel turbos for petrol cars before? That should be a massive improvement! :O
At least you've got enough rubbers to keep the car going :D

its quite common on junkyard builds in America till 500 hp is easy but after that, it gets harder but it is a big improvement i think the high Horsepower guys avoid because of complexity and lack of experienced tuners so they go for the more proven designs also they usually don't care about bottom end power.

his is actually my fifth setup with variable turbos the first one I did was on my IS300 back in America with this same turbo but the stock Gm version that i got from a junkyard and it was even more responsive I had full 17 psi at only 2500 rpm pushing reliable 500 from the GE. Also managing the VGT is a problem for normal standalone's but since I build my Arduino based ECU's is way easier for me to control

Cheater Boy...

Ok let's set a basic checklist

Rally Legend: Check
Multiples Legendary Drivers: Check
Cool Cheating Backstory: Check
So Good it was Banned: Check
Limited Edition: Check
Great engine: Check
Underrated Performance Car: Check
AWD for them Grips: Check
POP UP FREAKIN HEADLIGHTS: CHECK

Got it? YES another Toyota but this time one of the most underrated legendary Cars ever I got myself an St185 if you are a noob name caller A Celica Gt four A.K.A One of the most dominant 90's WRC cars that was so good that it banned Toyota From WRC. Yet one of the least popular performance Jdm cars.

The model that I bought is a Euro Spec RC or Carlos Sainz edition #1475 that was originally from Ireland but the owner moved to Japan and passed out ever since the car was Neglected until it was put for sale a little after that I bought it. Costing me $7.300 Pretty cheap but since it had some mods and was an imported LHD the price dropped quite good.

The Car Shape is pretty amazing overall the engine runs Smooth no smoke Suspension feels tight since it sits on coils and has awesome wheels The interior is complete with non tears and smoke-free and the body is pretty good.

And the driveability is more than incredible this time the shop trip was over 6 hours and the little boy did it like nothing one of the best bits lf the trip was exiting a toll that I just pressed the clutch revved it and boom AWD LAUNCH BABY this thing rips doing the 0-100 in 6.8 seconds it was amazing

I really wanted something different for a while but I reckon that I find really hard to get adapted to FF layouts so I was left with MR or AWD and trying to spare my overpowered slammed Rwd Cars from the winter I made my mind on an AWD platform I looked for lots of Evo's and Subies even some eclipse's but I wanted something that would Stand From the crowd So I went with this but when I found a limited Edition Model I Jumped into it.

But how i could afford this... Well, I Sold the 1.5jz from the S14 but why? Remember the Soarer that made me met smokey (check the previous post) it happened that the owner paid a less experienced tuner That FUCKED the tune into it and two events later the engine that lasted 3 years being beaten as hell was blown When he explained to me I was Furious because it was so well built and tuned. But since he competes with the car and needed it back fast i sold my engine and also had to build a full new harness and a new ECU for it in three days so the Cost was actually reasonably high also fitted new coils getting 30% form the sale and extra 200 from TEIN it was 520 profit for the coils the Engine itself i Charged 8.000 the harness was 2.000 and the ECU and tune 3.080 and Labor of extra 1400 in total it was 15.000 and a tune lock for 6 months (warrranty) i went kinda hard on him but i got pretty upset when people fuck my work soo s14 is getting postponed a little

Wew finally you've got yourself an AWD car! And a rare one at that!
Wonder what are you going to do with it man, especially with that magic formula of yours :D

Seeing people screwing up your handmade masterpiece is infuriating indeed, so I know that feel. It just feels like someone splattering a can of neon paint into the Monalisa painting: A total sacrilege. Nevertheless you've got money from selling the engine and have a legendary car in return :D

I better to leave the engine alone to make rarer than SR20, but I'm planning to swap 5 speed MT, which is it enough for CA18DE.
