NEW PROJECT !! 虞ラくWhat i was teasing about yesterday. My new quick project while the S14 is being painted. ive been looking at this car for a few days now, and i pulled the trigger since my garage is temporarily empty
A 1987 Mazda RX7 FC S4!
This chassis is a rolling shell though. Well it came with a 13B-DEI N/A engine with a 5MT, but the engine is blown. Luckily i already have a customer lined up for the blown engine+trans
The car was a 1hour bus ride away and i had it towed to my garage after purchase
The thing is like 200 shades of Red currently smh
As for mods, the chassis came with some acceptable H&R coilovers, Rota slipstream 17" wheels with RE002 tires (fair condition), Wilwood 4piston brakes with 275mm discs, some bolt on rear overfenders, and S5 Taillights (dunno if they work tho)
The interior is in OKAY condition. Needs a lot of cleaning up, its dirty asf. has Momo monte carlo steering wheel. and the rear seats are missing
Firstly im gonna have to give this thing a good all around clean up, its just really dirty everywhere. Repaint it, touch up all the suspension cuz idk what condition they're in, Drop an engine and get it running, install all the missing parts again. and then i MAY OR MAY NOT sell it idk lets see
However im stoked to give this thing a new life again because the previous owner didnt really care for it much
Anyways thats all for now. Thanks for checking it out!

smol updateSo the 13B-DEI is now gone. the customer i had was 2 hours away so in that time i took the engine out.
MEANWHILE(sorry about the blasphemy)
Been in talks with a local engines dealer about this S13 SR20DET. will come with trans, engine harness, ECU (many other things too lazy to list). And i already have the engine mounts at hand. He told me the price was 2.8k. But i'll go check it out tomorrow and maybe try and bump the price down a bit

NEW HEART!Cancelled the deal with the local engine dealer guy, and got an S15 SR20DE for much cheaper instead! (thanks for the hookup again Radcoon). This engine is just the perfect base i needed. Engine mounts are at hand, just need to manage a driveshaft from some local parts store and i can put it in.

Oooooooooooooooooooooooooffffffffffff
n e a t i'm sad for the "rico dorito machine" , but is a neat improvement compared to the 13b-dei , i saw people putting in FB'S rx7 in my rl country (argentina) renault 12 or renault 18 engines , 221 i6 ford falcon engines , 250 i6 chevrolet engines , Fiat 125 engines , and making awful things in the exterior , FC'S with LPG (Here , lpg is known as gnc) etc etc etc. And i saw FC'S in internet with bone stock bluetop 4age's , so you made the right bang for ur buck with that SR... I'm sad for the dorito machine , but this SR will be gr8 for ur build in terms of tunability , reliability and price... Nice choice <3 , i can't wait for seeing the final result dude , i'm so stoked! |

# Mr.Stance : Oooooooooooooooooooooooooffffffffffff THANKS! <3 people be doing mad shit with RX's there lmfao One of maybe two FC's over here (bangladesh) has a 1G-FE engine from a toyota Mark 2 lol Also yeah thats why i went SR on this. the cash i had wont be enough to build a healthy running rotary with some power, hence the SR. And its an engine swap that wont mess up the weight distribution a lot too Thanks Added 42 seconds later: # radcoon : Hoping the same haha |

GETTING THERE SLOWLYSo i ran around some parts stores and garages today to get some stuff for the rx7. Firstly, ive got a driveshaft and called a friend over to give a hand, and the engine is now in! also found a good condition water pump to complete the front dress
Sold off the old Toda exhaust manifold. Time to start ordering some boost goodies OuO
And also, the car has some bodypanels now. nothing too special or aggressive
A mazdaspeed front bumper, OEM S5 wing, and some bomex sideskirts, which im quite skeptical about. They were like dirt cheap and no one was buying them so i did it just to try it on. idk help me decide should i keep them or throw em to the bin?
We've also tuned up the suspension a bit, so no longer monster truck fitment
oh and meanwhile
HMMM WHATS DISThat should be all for today. Sorry about the lack of photos (feeling a bit sick IRL). thanks for stopping by!

B I G UPDATEBeen gone for a few days, but for good reason. So you may remember ive dropped the S14 to paint a good while back. Aaaaand on last post i teased it a bit. yap it's done and i have her again. Dudes and dudettes, MAY I PRESENT TO YOU,
【MINE'S IMPRESSION !!】Clearly i now have some explaining to do because you may be asking "WHERE TF IS THE 326POWER BODYKIT?". Hear me out lol
When i got the 326 kit the plan i had for the car was more on the simpler side. plain white paint, some decals here and there and good stance. Welll after i dropped the car to paint i stumbled upon some rly good photos of the Mine's tuning cars, which included a Mine's s15. And that got me thinking, what if i were to go with a mine's style, but on an S14 instead? after a lot of going back and forth, i pulled the trigger. Called up my friend at the paintshop, who just took the bodypanels off at that time, and told him about this. We came to an agreement and word got out among friends and acquantainces about the car. WHICH brings me back to the 326power kit. A guy who's also a valuable customer and good friend at the paintshop had a Navan kitted S14 Zenki, and offered me a trade deal. Kit for kit and some cash my way. And for a Mine's livery, the 326power kit wouldn't really fit as well as a stock-ish looking Navan kit. So DEAL SIGNED and now here we are!
Right, that's that. Now back to the car
STEADY CRUISIN'
Some more shots from the garage where the livery work was done
Also i forgot to mention, tha car now has a Wilwood brake kit too! 310mm discs all around, 6piston front, 4piston rear. Had them delivered to the painthop and they gladly installed it for me. CAR STOPS ON A DIME NOW
I've also had the windows tinted (apart from front windshield)
Afterwards on the way home i just had to take the touge route
I'VE MISSED HER SOO MUCH AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH *instant jeremy clarkson smile on face* Still a nearly stock SR20 and that didnt keep me from loving it (wont stay stock for much longer tho)
After which, Back home safe and sound.
That'll be all for today. As always thank you for stopping by and i hope you liked the S14 as much as i do
(N.B. This is actually my first attempt at a livery for SLRR)

# Sleepin mOnkey : clean af loved it Thanks! Added 55 minutes later: FC GETTING BOOSTTurbo kit i ordered for the FC just came in and ive started mocking them up on the car!
Kit included Greddy T67 turbo, Tomei cams Greddy intake and exhaust manifold, Koyorad radiator, Sard Fuel pump-injectors-regulator, a new head gasket, And a custom made Greddy top mount intercooler! the kit is good for 400hp and the goal is around that mark
Nothing is bolted on yet. i've just mocked it up but i'll be back in a while after removing the head and putting the cams on.

MOAR PROGRESS!So i detached the head and the new cams are now on.
After which i started putting everything on. It's basically a good quality bolt-on turbo kit so it was quick and easy
Manifolds and turbo on,
Aaaand lastly the intercooler and radiator are on!
IT LOOKS LIKE A WHOLE ENGINE NOW!
Tomorrow i'll have to do the fluids, and ofc mount the ECU and fix up the electrical areas. FINGERS CROSSED i get it running tomorrow cuz if i do, a local dyno tuner has already given me the greenlight to come and get it tuned!
tomorrow will be a long ass day if all goes as planned
Anyway thats all for today. thanks for giving a read!

# Dr. Zoom : You need good vent on hood to run fully working inter cooler. I do have a vented hood that points to the intercooler. Not a very big vent but if it doesn't get enough air i can always switch the pipes to a front mount |

FC SHENANIGANSSo today i mounted the ECU and dealt with the wiring (pain in the ass but i managed to do it with the help of a friend). Got engine oil, trans oil, and coolant, bled them in and then turned key. to my utter surprise she RAN IN ABOUT TWO TRIES DAMN
I let it run for a while and checked for leaks. no leaks so far and ofc has some white smoke from all the new parts
didnt wire up the lights apart from that center one yet lol
Meanwhile a friend of mine who knows some about tuning and electronics offered me to give the car a street tune for like just $50. He's a trustworthy friend and it saves me money from getting it professionally dyno tuned so why tf not lmao
After letting the car idle for about 30mins and assuring its all good, he came over and hooked the laptop up. Did some of his magic and then we gently hit the road, to do some more of his magic, for 2 whole hours. when we just took the car on the road it was breaking up and acting weird (as expected). but in about 1 and half hours it was all fairly smooth! proper boost at about 16psi too (max for this turbo is 20). LIKE DAMN THIS BOI CAN DO SOME STUFF
After that, as the local dyno gave me the greens to come by, we decided to go (except just to see numbers). But then i thought well why not bring the S14 too? just to see the base number it has with a stockish setup? Called up my uncle at home and asked him if he could bring it over. He gladly agreed thankfully
Reached the shop, and put the on FC on the dyno first
kept the hood popped in case something went wrong (nothing did thankfully) IT SHOT SOME FAIR FLAMES TOO OOF
And now, THE NUMBERS. it made a modest 330hp and 290lb-ft. i COULD go higher but 330 is actually close to the boundaries of a stock block so yeah im very happy with the numbers. should be more than enough for street driving and some skids too
And now the S14 (its 90% stock dont expect much)
A WHOPPING 220hp and 210 lb-ft from the S14. Not bad for a stock SR but NOT ENOUGH for sure. i'll give it some oomph all in good time.
After that whole ordeal night was falling. i was tired, my friend was tired, my uncle was NOT tired and was gonna take us to a touge but i insisted not to smh. Just went home afterwards.
Anyways that'll be all for today. Cheerios!

OFF TO GET DRESSEDSo now that the FC runs, the last step would be get it painted in one color. went to drop it off and took the touge route for skids
the car felt very good on the touge routes. nothing wrong or weird going on but im gonna have to adjust the suspension characteristics a bit
Paint shouldnt take long because they're just gonna quick respray the Mismatched parts (yes, im keeping it red), and they'll hook the lights up for me
anyway that'll be all for todays smol update. thanks for stopping by!
