# Mr.Stance :

AE86 Update

Yesterday after going to Ebisu I bought several new things and I started to install them, I loved the result

Now looks so beautyful!

Here're all the details of the new update of the Hachi-Roku!

Interior: I removed my original seats, I sold them for 168,000 ¥ (1500V$, they were in very good condition) and I bought two bucket seats with belts for ¥84000 (750V$)
I bought some new gauges (oil pressure, water temperature, battery, oil temperature and wideband) for 38900¥ (350V$)
I bought a roll cage to place the belts, run safely in ebisu and tomorrow in d1sl, who knows. The cage cost me 33500¥ (300V$), in addition to a hydraulic hand brake, which i paid ¥22300 (200V$) and a Wood Nardi Torino that was of the old ae86 of my father (he was an hashiriya in the 90's)

Suspension and brakes: I bought a kit of Coilovers Megan Racing for 100000¥ (900V$) ,I removed the brake discs and sent them to a place where they drilled and slotted them, I also bought 4 racing brake pads and new brake lines, the work of the brakes and brakepads cost me 55700¥ (550V$), and also the hydro ebrake (price is above)

Now it looks, feels and drives better!

Cambergaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaang!!! <3

After these improvements I went again to Ebisu

I met a friend "dominikhepner632" and his 180sx type-x, we took advantage and had a lot of fun! And i took this foto

I was ready for practice and for seeing the difference between the last practice with the stock car and now with all the stuff , And OMG , The difference is GIGANTIC!

The improvement was noticed as if it were another car, the little bodyroll that had this car was completely dissappear, The brakes responded better than ever, the hydraulic hand brake locks a thousand times better the rear wheels, The seats hold me much better, and the gauges help me a lot showing me the condition of the engine and throwing me the necessary data.

It was a nice day! , I enjoyed it a lot and I could see the difference of a stock car and a car with the right modifications and necessary for this type of circuits.

I also sold the silvia: The previous owner repented and offered me 668000¥ (6000V$) for the car, Obviously i accepted the offer

And the old 4age left too, I sold it for 94700¥ (850V$), so I took four things off that solved today's expenses ...

Bump and missed paycheck

Added 3 minutes later:

And of the engines i will consider :
-SR20DET
-K24
-F20C
-F22C
-1JZ

Idk , what engine you reccomend me?

1JZ would ruined perfect weight distribution, create front too heavy, any honda would better than SR20 (because SR20 have rocker arm so they may break easy).

That's some nice fitment on the 86! Maybe a little too much front camber for my taste though. To be honest you don't need an engine swap because you don't have much drifting skills at the moment and you don't need a lot of power to drift a 86 anyway. You could gradually increase power by some upgrades or a supercharger to get used to it.

Guys, I already decided to make the swap.

Since for the 4AGE Bluetop it is costing me enough to find aftermarket parts since most of them are discontinued, or are used and had a lot of wear, or cost good money ...

I do not know if a Blacktop, or to go to another engine like an SR20DET, a K24, an F22C, any of those, 4 cylinders (so it does not ruin the weight distribution), I have a fantasy of grabbing a K24, putting a compressor Kraftwerks and use it in 86, Maybe go with the car n / a with the K24, since they are 160hp and the 4age is in 130hp, so it would be a gradual increase, before going through the compressor ...

This swap will do it for a subject of availability of aftermarket parts and to have a more modern base and with more potential.

I need engine recommendations to make a swap.

Requirements:

4 cylinders
1992 - Present (I mean CA18'S, 4AGE no, a modern engine)
Economic
Easy to modify
Great availability of parts.

Sr20det from S13 or S14, S15 still bit more modern but S13 or S14 don't.

Guys, I have good news and bad news
The bad thing is that the SR21 sold it to another guy, the other guy made an offer higher than mine for private.

The good thing is that the guy who was selling it returned the money and I bought another sr20det!

An S14 SR20DET Midbuilt , this sr20det has several aftermarket parts, has no forged internals or anything like the other, but this is almost ready to place in the car, and has several good parts such as: Greddy Plenum, Top Mount HKS Turbo, Giken Clutch, etc .. .

I just need intercooler, radiator, engine mounts, driveshaft, and some other thing, and this car will be working perfectly

And for the other levin , i bought a front passenger seat from Dr zoom for 100$ , i need to reupsholter the seat and will be ready 2 go...

I let both cars in Zoom Garage , and i need him to swap engines , reupsholter the seat, put my old rear panels and mats from my creamy levin and paint both cars ,cuz i will trip with Stratowolf to Italy , In the next weekend i will be here in japan for the new update...

# radcoon : Well.... Why a SR20 in an AE86? Is this one of those Wangan thingy's?
Nah , i don't have the budget for that , and for asking for some tips one guy (i will don't say name) just disrespected me when i tried to talk good with him, so , nah , I do this swap because te 4age bluetop is a old engine now and aren't much parts available and the sr20 is a better and more modern engine , with more parts available , and for don't lose that almost 50-50 weight distribution. So , Those are the reasons for the sr swap...

Added 53 seconds later:

# Niatross : plans for bodykit?
Maybe a Vertex Replica , cuz this is a drift car and i don't want to break a expensive vertex bodykit , so thats the plan...

Is a really common thing , but is one of the best engine swaps that you can make to an AE86 without messing up the chassi for fitting an i6 or more bigger engine , cutting the body , and messing the weight distribution , the sr still is an I4 , so the weight distribution will be almost the same , and with more power than the stockish 130HP from the 4AGE Bluetop , With the parts that my sr have maybe 315hp , idk , maybe more , but i won't force it over 320hp cuz the sr20det with stock internals can hold up to 350-360 range , nd mine is in about 300-310 range , so , no more than 320hp because of the stock internals , if the output is higher i will time up the ecu for less power for the engine safety, the good thing is the fact of this engine already got a new performance clutch , so , one thing less to buy haha...
this will be gr8!

Mane , How are looking my cars ?
I let in your workshop my two ae's last weekend

In the creamy and white levin (my driftcar) : I need you to pull the stock 4age , paint the exterior and engine bay and put the SR (not running cuz is missing the intercooler , radiator and driveshaft , only put the engine and make the wiring)

In the multicolor levin : I need you to paint the exterior and engine bay , put my stock 4age into that car (is almost plug and play , i had to do it in my drift levin and it's easy) , reupsholter the seat that you sell me and put it with my old rear interior panels

How is going?
