So after a quite nice evening/night/morning in Osaka I came back to our workshop which was quite busy!
and the Cresta is back from painting! I went for the original pearl white. And gotta install my Brix soon which I got from yahoo. After the Wheels are mounted I do a proper update on this... So About the little AE86. We checked all the fitments at MACKAY's so basically it's good to get some more nice treatment. With the parts i still had and the help from my friends here the AE is back in Trueno shape. And it's ready for paint... again. I changed the front brakes back to the AP's after they got reworked. Simply because I need a bit more stopping power and the bigger disks and 6 piston should help with that. So far that's it from me. I wait on the bill from MACKAY.... |

Will be interesting to see how this Cresta will turn out. Also it is awesome to see that you guys assembled the 86' so quickly yet so good! As for the bill.. The sum of materials and parts we used is only around 350V$, the most expensive thing would be the labor but ah, since we had good time and it was weekend, you only owe me a full tank of gas in my GTR.

Oh that is unexpected! I owe you big time.
Yeah as your guys, the guys over here are very helpful! But it was still more zips and tape as correct mounting. AE's at painting now! |

Yeah I hope to get back to work on it soon. # ErwinFenyvesi23 : Glad to see the 86 in better shape ! Mackay sure did a great job on it !Oh yes the Osaka guys did great! That Cresta tho.
As the AE is still at painting I put my hands on the GX81. As the stock muffler didn't sound as much is i wanted it. I changed that to a little two pipe version. I also invested in a new Koyorad-iator with a lovely greedy cap. So the little 2.0L engine is hooked up now. Yeah those wheels... after basically planed to go 15" and browsing auctions and dealerships I ended up with quad6 enkeis 17". Still plan to do something on it but so far I focus on the AE. And I need some Can for to improve my racing and drifting before I smash the Trueno again! This post was edited by radcoon (2018-07-11 19:20, ago) |

Cresta now looks like real a "shakotan" build, would have went with something SSR brand myself, but I like your 6666's a lot too. Get a four door R34 or R33 as a drift car as you can cop them quite cheaply right now, but it might be completely different world transitioning from 86', whenever you come around I will let you to take a spin in my four door, maybe you will like how those cars handle.

I thought about a X100 Chaser or Mark2... would also fit the collection... # ErwinFenyvesi23 : As Mackay said , this Cresta does look like a real shakotan car now ! backYes the AE is back from paint since this morning. So am I. Take the day off to get the smell of fresh paint... Are there airfreshers that smell like new car paint? Anyway.I went for a real dark grey wich a touch of brown. I looks nice imo. So after a bit of staring at the paint we moved it on the lift to get the transition back in place and installed my new cusco sway bar. Which I got for 150 bucks. An yeah... talking about that "special" here it is. Well Erwin knew, such as MACKAY and skip but well here is a pic of my 1JZ engine. So it still might take some time to get the AE back on the streets as I'm waiting for a custom driveshaft to match the J-trans with the AE LSD. I also ordered some engine parts which should turn up tomorrow. And I get a passenger seat.... maybe. So much for the AE.... Well before I head over to the next thing. You noticed I started a side business with stickers and decals. It kicked off way better as I expected so thx to all you guys! new car....Yeah... another car. I basically wanted a JZX100 but they are a bit more expensive with MT as I expected. And as I was looking for a drift only car I went for this 1990 RPS13. It has shaken for one more week and yes it is a POS. It was cheap with it's SR20DE. It has 4 different types of red and a really damn ugly interior. Smells like McD was using it to make fried chicken while smoking cigars. It was 1.300V$ which all you know is cheap. Even for a SX. But most of my money simply goes into the AE. First step will be, after stripping, get to MACKAY to get a cage. So far that's t form me... |

First of all , I have to say that a 1JZ in an AE is very very unique ! I was stunned when you told me about it , and working on it was kinda fun , I must say. Also , as Mackay said , that firewall was kinda hard to work on , but we made it work! I can't wait to see her shred !
Also , I can already see you doing amaizing things to that S13 ! Bring it down to our shop , we'll get it in a better shape in no time ! |

Yeah, I already took the delivery of your car, I will start working on it this Tuesday and it will be back in Tokyo on Friday, I really don't have a lot of time these days, also the price of the cage will be 2000, and all the paperwork and required safety certificates will be there too in case you want to compete sometime in the future.

I might come over by Thursday by train and with coils think we find room to fit them in? # RocketBunnyS13 : S13 x AE86 is a pretty cool tandem fam. CRESTA IS GOOOOOOODDDThx man. WARNING HUGE UPDATE.... Let's start with the day to day stuff. First of all Skip showed up with his Supra. Such a sweet thing. Makes we want my own back. So we went a bit for a cruise. And did what cargoes do. Find a parking lot, fool around and have some parking lot food and drinks while talking about all sorts of car stuff! I enjoyed the evening very much!
Next thing... i sold the JZX91. Basically just the reason I need the money and the parking lot of our garage is almost packet. Let's move on to my AE. I spend basically the whole Weekend at the garage getting it ready. Well it isn't yet but I managed to roll around our garage. Looks quite good so far I think. I guess you'd like to see that 1JZ. Well here it is... It's all really queeesed in into the engine bay but it's working. Well the ECU is not adjusted yet neither I mounted the exhaust so the thing is a "bit" loud! On the inside. Well not much changed so far. Will pick up a deep Nardi at the Art of Wheels this week. Yep... I like those Nardi wheels.... I hope this week I get the rest of the parts and next week go for a ride. With skip and the AE boys! Would be great to meet Zero and the other AE people as well. Now we expect this Story to end for now right? We'll.... it doesn't. While me and Hatori went to get some ramen we went by a lonely Trueno. With a "販売用" sign. It looked damn beaten. But the Hatori thought we ring the seller up and see what he wants so I might have a car for spares. If it is cheap. So called, guy came, looked at car, he asked 2.5K I said 2K is all I could pay now. He agreed I had another trueno. So we went back, took a rope and a spare wheel and towed the thing to the garage. So while I had a break on my AE I thought I wash the little trueno an inspect it a bit more. And then one thing watched my eyes. An APEX stich on the seats which i never saw before. And some other unfamiliar things. So I ran the Chassis number and it turns out ... that this beaten up thing.... Is one of 400 ever made 1987 Trueno Black Limited. Which for you people who are not into Toyotas... is kinda the holy grail of AE86's. So let's all cheer a bit! And during the days I sure will do another update... |

# radcoon : Perfect as Usual. I might come over by Thursday by train and with coils think we find room to fit them in? Of course, the car will be on the jack stands so you will be able to do what you want suspension wise. Ahh, it looks like you guys been working on that 86' 24/7 because it is almost finished, it will be one hell of car in the end, I never thought about weight distribution before with such a heavy engine, but I guess it is good enough? Tell me whenever you test it properly. I hope the thing that you bought is not rusted through.. Goodluck with it! |

# MACKAY :Thx Pal! Nice one. So I save some cash on the tow and see you guys is always great. Well tbh the car might look more finished than it is. As I said I managed a short roll out. I guess you know how it is if you're "toy" is close to the finish. We'll surely add weight to the back and re set up the suspension. Sure man, I call you up! The base of the trueno seems fine. I'll know when the sandblasting is made. But this is kinda far future. # Soju : Woah, that is a really lucky find!It is! # Renaruto : That's an incredible find! Good luck with the restauration of this thing! Thanks man! # skip : Looks kinda rough....hopefully you can restore it back to what it was. Lucky find. I hope so! Short one for today.
Basicly I just wanted to share my total excitement about these. My Enkei RPF1's 16". On Proxxes! I payed 129,990V円 for the set. And for used ones they are in very well condition. I know I know but as nice those SSR's are they are not 100% for the use and the Toyos serve a lot of grip. Now the AE will rest for a while until I manage to get the exhaust done and still be able to get shaken... As I said, I wanted just to show off my Meisters... but skip called me up after I had the AE back in, to check Yahoo. As he found something while searching for 2JZ stuff. An unused 1JZ. Yepp unused! for 100,000V円 Well that is quite much for a 1JZ as they usually come for around 50.000 but as it is unused.... I made a quick straight buy. And tomorrow I'll head to the guy. As he is 出品地域:東京都 (located in Tokyo)! So again a bit more money spend as expected but sure worth! Thx Skip! This post was edited by radcoon (2018-07-20 12:14, ago) |

Lets do this massive friday update thing. But... where to start?
Allright. First thing. I made a move and got a store share. Basically just to keep the stickers and stuff at one place. The other half is a Custom Clothing shop. I am there usually between 6 and 8 pm every evening. But call first just to make sure. It might be also the last pic of the cresta like it is right now. Moving to the AE. So during the days with some help form my people here, I installed a Toda Exhaust System which is ended with a N1 Muffler. It took a lot of bending to get the 1JZ manifold matching but it is in place now. The exhaust I grabbed at upgarage for a quite good deal so I am am happy with it now. But not yet satisfied. The ECU still needs to be adjusted and half of the bits in the interior are still loose. But as we plan a visit to southern circuit I better get shit together... So let's hit over to the Osaka Trip. Luckily skip was also heading to MACKAY's place so we shared fuel and I've been able to travel in comfort and not caring my sht with the train. We arrived in the afternoon so still plenty of time for work and even more to fool around with MACKAY and Erwin. The Cage of the RPS was done and almost all the interior back in the car. Which again surprised me. But slowly I just notice that this is another level of work and quality so I get used to it (ok... I'm still stoked tbh). So they arranged some space for me to put in my Tein's and just after I picked up the tools, two of the guys started to work on my car as well. No words... After those been in and adjusted, thx again, we jumped into Erwins ER34 and man, he handles the thing even worser than expected! Nah, just kidding. Hell of fun. And yes... MACKAY and me been holding hands. No need to be jealous! Talking about Erwin. I gotta say it's really great to see him around here. He's actually sucking info like a sponge and is absolutely excited. His rides became also another step forward! I think skip might agree as well. So rest of the evening we spend with Asahi and Sake (two really good dudes) and as I have a place to crash in Osaka at a special Person's I showed up today around noon. Got the RPS back together. We kind of hang in the shop for a while then. Helping here, fooling around there... Just before I headed back to Tokyo. Tomorrow... EBISU! Oh... last but not least. The Cresta in it's shape just now... This post was edited by radcoon (2018-07-20 13:42, ago) |

Congrats on your new store man! I am very happy about that! Oh, and btw thanks for those stickers!
Also thanks a lot for choosing our shop once again, you know that we ain't there to disappoint our customers! Eh, those coilovers.. How much time did it take to install all four? Like 15-20 minutes? We definitely know how to save "some" time doing things haha. Ohh, my man, I see that you made a move, congrats and don't fuck up, because you know..
