the jzx

before starting the post off, i noticed an FB page named Auto Culture,
has featured me doing sections at Mobara Twin back in Japan some months ago.
big appreciates to them!

hehe, good times...

So, my JZX went through some minor changes again!
The CR Kai was painted into white from black. (no specific reason, lol. just to match the overall look...)
Drag wing was also custom fitted aswell for better hotboi 'sutairu'.

Interior hasn't changed at all since brought, tho.
Defis on center console, TRD cluster, ignitor, etcs....
oh well, the roll cage! it was rebuilt a while ago at MACKAY's garage with purple paint finish.
But away from the roll cage, it hasnt changed at all. how could I make the previous owner's efforts in vain!
it even used to compete D1SL back in 2005 ish year.

The engine wise, it still isn't smashed and starts fine since I mainly use it for trip to Japanese drift events.
We currently are trying to save spare parts on it.

P.S. Ordered parts for 2 E36s, stay tuned. lol

I found a complete SR20 NEO engine not far from me so i could pick it up and ship it to you! I can also send you only the cylinder head if you want.

Added 12 minutes later:

Do you want it with cams, intake, header and everything or not?

If you using DET piston, then you got limited choice of camshaft. Research may helpful to find information about swapping VE head.

SR36

literally, we did an SR20 swap into E36. (kinda solved rear sump thing aswell)
It might sound ridiculous, we've came up with that swap idea sitting at garage stair with Soju.
Also there's still plenty of SRs remaining in country which were mostly imported from Japan,
why don't we bother to buy one in mint condition and swap it!?
So we've instant picked one with low mileage from car flea market.

But we still have a lot of to-dos on it for sure, such as swapping VVL head, turbocharge it,
and mount a proper tranny since the SR assembly came w/o a tranny.

~Finances~
Paycheck=940V$
Bought SR20VE head from Lagano:800V$
SR20DE w/o tranny:650V$

We fitted NEO VVL head from Lagano, then mounted Garrett GT2871r w/ intercooler(500hp against) this time.
Now we will have to look for better injector, fuel pump and Z32 stuff next week,
maybe mid 300hp range when powertrain gets fine tuned?? lets see how's gonna be later :)

Also the car has BC Racing coilovers for 1k V$ of discounted, as you can see rear-end sits lower than before.
Driveline wise we are struggling to find 5spd rwd tranny since most of trannies available here are for fwd SR20.
Shit, another trouble; which diff should I go through between 3.9 and 4.11!?

Btw guys, the weather is hot af out there, make sure to have something to cool your body,
Im almost dying hot under thisawful weather building the car lmao. Later then!

That E36 is coming along nicely, I hope you will repaint the car after you finish with other stuff as that green just won't do it, no no. Lightweight E36 with 300hp or more will be a pocket rocket for sure, I guess you will surprise us even more later on.

There's a region-specific reason why I and 11K picked SR20 for a perfect alternative for the E36's original motor.

A32 Cefiro was "kinda imported" by Samsung Motors back in late 1990s, with the joint venture between Nissan and Samsung, produced in Korea.

Unlike Maxima and Cefiro having VQ engine layout, one particular trim, which offered 2.0 SR engine, was the best selling trim back in the days.

VQ-engine trim was offered as more luxurious variant of the same model, while SR-engine trim was more reliable and mainstream, and affordable sedan.

Of course tuners really liked having mostly identical engine block with Silvia. And it was easy to get and get it fixed.

And since it has been more than a decade since released, it is really easy to get the entire car for under V$2500.

I am waiting for 11K to show the perfect result for the engine swap :)

Ayy mates, how's the weather going there worldwide?
Here we are currently having intense heat that we cannot progress on E36 build,
we had to step back from current build until we have air conditioner and fan prepared.

Soooo we turned into decorative stuffs. especially to JZX100!
Firstly I attached some pack of stickers from my storage & radcoon's shop. HOTBOI PAWAAAAAH
I also bought half set of Work CR Kiwami 18x10.5 from a shop 'Inch by inch',
which is one of few importers of Work wheels in Korea.

Umm well, that is how's our garage now, we will post more of E36 build as weather gets better!
