Let the cleaning begin...

○ Hey guys ! Whats up ?
○ So , today has been a crazy day for me because the first thing in the morning was taking the Supra interior apart and god damn , I'm afraid of that thing. It looks horrible. Here are some pics before I took out the interior :

○ Looks pretty much clean on the outside but lets take a look after I took the whole interior out. ( carpets , console , interior panels etc. ) :

○ Well , that looks like a whole lot of f*ckin shit , doesnt it ? It smells horrible too , and I think I'll have to give this thing a bleach bath or something. Anyway , while the detergents were doing their job , I went to pick up my spare wheels that I bought for the 180. Of course the wheels have been used before , but they looked good , they had the right specs and all of that jazz and I can tell you that they are the stock wheels from a legendary JDM car.

○ Yep , I bought myself some MR2 rims ! They look very similar to the S14 wheels , but hey , they'll be good for drifting , right ? I've also put some fresh rubber on them too and everything costed about 450V$. I dont know how fast I'll go through tyres but 6 tyres for the rear should be enough for a couple of laps I think.

○ Also , does anyone want to come to Ebisu with me in the weekend ? Maybe we could throw some tandems and have fun ;)

○ Right now , as I'm writing this , I'm vacuuming the Supra. I can say that the bleach did quite a good job , but I'll have to put in some air fresheners for sure...

○ Too bad that the mice ate through the carpet... now I'll have to buy new carpeting or maybe I could make my own... this project will take a while....

○ I wouldn't say that this was a super productive day , but hey , at least I got some things done , right ?

○ Tommorow I'll try to work more on the Supra, maybe even give it a nice wash and after the interior is all sorted out , we'll get into the engine bay.

○ Anyways , after I'm done cleaning all the crap out of the Supra I'll hit the hay , but dont worry , I'll still be active.

○ See ya guys around !

I didn't have to deal with cleaning mice crap out of the FC.

I had to deal with a fucking badger nesting in the engine bay.
Had to hit it a couple of times to scare it off.
Got bitten a couple of times so thank god I got a rabies and tetanus shot.

So , what are your plans for your FC ? Drift car , daily , whats the deal ?

Clean !

○ Hey guys , whats up ?
○ So , today has been a pretty chill day. I didnt do a whole lot of stuff but finally , after intense cleaning with detergents and bleach and all that kind of stuff , I managed to clean the interior of the Supra. God I'm happy the crap is all gone... Here are some pics :

○ Yep , all clean , thank god ! Now . the next thing would be to get to the engine bay , but its gonna take a while to rebuild that engine. Here's a quick lil pic :

○ So yeah , I still have to finish some things for the interior. I am getting some custom made carpets for the Supra. They'll take about 2 weeks to be finished and in that time I'll have to mess around in the engine bay and after that , well , its not going to be fun but I'll have to remove the rust from the body. Luckily , the bodypanels dont have too much rust on them , but the trunk has some rough spots on the edges which have some rust on them. I'll need to get this thing sanded and all of that , but hey , in the end , the effort is going to pay out.

○ Talking about paying out , I'm never selling this car , getting this thing was a once in a lifetime opportunity and I ain't givin' it away. ITS MINE NOW ! :))

○ I've also cleaned the 180 a bit more for tommorow , cuz I'm going to Ebisu. God , I cant wait to see how it slides , I mean , how good can a stock 180 slide ? We'll have to see tommorow.

○ Anyway , sorry for the short update and lack of photos , but there wasnt really anything to take a picture of.

○ I cant wait for tommorow , see ya guys around !

Back at it again...

○ Hey guys ! Whats up ?
○ Sorry for not posting for 4 days , I've just had to do some things and I kinda forgot to post :P , anyway , Ebisu was very fun !

○ So , I kinda missed most of the first day because I arrived quite late but luckily I managed to get some laps at Minami before the track closed. Here are some pics :

○ I kept wanting to send it even closer to the wall , and I did pretty good I'd say...

○ I ended up sleeping in the back seat of the 180. It wasnt comfy at all , but I managed to get through the night. :))

○ After eating breakfast I decided to go lay some rubber and on the first lap it happened...

○ I sent it too much and kinda tapped the wall :D but hey , at least there's no frame damage !

○ After leaving the stuff at the pits I continued to slide it , here's my closest drift to the wall without tapping it :

○ It was pretty sick and I had a lot of fun. When I got back to the garage I managed to get the bumper and the garnish back in their place but the rear right taillight got really busted up and was beyond repair. Oh well , I aint sad at all , because after all , thats why I bought this car.

○ The 180 performed quite well , but it overheated just a little bit , nothing major. I'll probably have to get a better radiator or something... Also , the suspension is on point , and the engine is not lacking power. Man , I cant wait to drift this thing more , its so fun !

○ I'll also have to get a bucket seat to hold me in place and a new steering wheel. I'll just throw the cheapest things I can find at the 180. After all , its probably going to end up as a missile.

○ I've also worked a bit more on the Supra yesterday. I pulled the motor and cleaned the engine bay up from all the dust and dirt....

○ Here's a "before" pic :

○ And after...

○ The 2J is not missing anything , which is great , but I'll have to rebuild it for sure.

○ Its completely stock for now , and I think I forgot to mention , this thing came with a V160 transmission , which is a 6 speed manual transmission. Man , this project is gonna take a bunch more time , but its gonna be worth it 100% !

○ Anyway , thats all for now , I hope you guys enjoy the pics from Ebisu and the next place the 180 is going is ... actually , tune in to see for yourself... ;)

○ See ya guys around !

Why don't you keep your 180 intact (too late but oh well) and make that Supra a drift missile? I mean, you can drift with a S13 with stock suspension and everything but don't expect much lol. I'd focus on the Supra's engine and suspension and then drift it even if half the body's missing. :P Also you're lucky that you got a 6 speed, that's a keeper!

I get what you're saying , but I want my Supra to be pretty much an insane showcar , and I bought the S13 to just whip it around , because I sold the other S13 that I had a long while back....

Kinda sucks that I'm already ruining this perfect 180sx , but hey , I need a drift car...

I'm kinda bummed that I didnt buy a more banged up car to slide that around.... Oh well ...

The Supra is something special for me , it has been my dream car since I first saw it , and I wouldn't want to turn it into a drift car. I would be afraid of scratching it , let alone slamming it into a wall... :))

I do have 4 more dream cars that I want to put my hands on , and these cars are the FD RX-7 , R34 , R33 , R32 and the Datsun 240z. I feel like I wouldn't enjoy putting my dream car too close to a wall and risk totaling it... but maybe I'm just a coward. :/

Also , yeah , I'm quite lucky to have this V160. I hope you'll like the final form of the Supra !

IT'S ALIVE !!!

○ Hey guys , whats up ?

○ So , in the past few days I kinda got caught up with the Supra and I kinda forgot to sleep overnight , but I took the engine out , took it apart and then cleaned it , I've even worked on the interior and all that... Anyway , here are some pics of the engine before taking it apart...

○ And then I began taking it apart and cleaning everything...

○ Everything was in good condition because the engine wasn't even started since 1996 and I'm kinda glad that I didn't have to buy new parts to get the engine started...

○ After putting everything back onto the engine I placed it back in the engine bay...

○ After filling the engine with some oil I hooked everything up and then came moment that I've been waiting for since I got to put my hands on this thing... that's right , starting the engine...

○ And voilà ! It lives !!! Well , at first , there was some smoke coming out of the exhaust but after keeping it running for about 10 minutes it all went away ! Man , such hype for this :doge: !!!

○ I cant wait to drive the Supra but it still needs a whole lot of other parts...

○ Anyway , thats kinda all for the engine now , lets get see the interior...

○ I was quite surprised that my custom made carpets came in earlier than I expected , so I had to put them in the car and see how they look... These carpets were supposed to arrive on 29th but I dont know how they managed to get them here before the 29th... I paid about 1500V$ (164,323.26 yen ) for them + shipping , and I gotta say , they're really nice and soft...

○ As I expected , the carpets suited the chassis perfectly , and then of course I got impatient and mounted the rest of the interior parts in...

○ Ahh , finally , the interior is all nice and clean and it doesn't smell like mouse crap anymore... This was quite a huge step for me because the interior was one of the most difficult jobs to do on this car... I'm so glad that the car is getting closer to getting finished ! Well , it still needs some other body parts and other stuff , but hey , we gettin' there !

○ So , thats kinda all that happened in these past days , I also need to get some sleep cuz I stayed up all night to work on the Supra , and I can proudly say that its coming along nicely !

○ Here's a little list I made which contains the things that I need to do before it's finished :

○ Let me know if I missed anything on that list !

○ Anyways , thats all for now , I'll see ya guys around !

Thanks for telling me about the brakes ! I'll probably end up buying new OEM suspension and brakes for the Supra , but are there any coilovers that I should consider buying in the future ?

Good point sir! Left car too long case brake become heavy rusted and sticky, also suspension would be softer.

Ayyy the Supra is finally running! Interior is looking fresh my dude. Yeah I agree with Dr. Zoom, brakes are a must. Replace the pads, rotors are probably warped at this point. Replace all of the bushings! Did that on my CR-X and she handles like the day she left the dealer! For coils, maybe try Teins, affordable and adjustable. That's what I'm running.

Thanks for the kind words bro ! Should I go with some OEM Supra brakes or go with some more spicy brakes ? Also , bushings are going to be replaced. Talking about coilovers , what kind of Teins are you running on your C-Rex ?

Budget wise, your money getting tighter so leave stock power for while because aftermarket supra part wasn't cheap.

If you're gonna go all in might as well go the BBK route. Otherwise, newer OEM ones are fine. Mine are just Tein Street Flex ones.

Let there be light !

0 Hey guys , whats up ?
○ So , if you've seen the post I made earlier , I ordered all that stuff. It's gonna take a while for all of these things to get shipped to me , but hang in there ! I managed to do something to the Supra !

○ So , remember the left headlight and taillight that I found in the trunk of the Supra when I started cleaning it ? Well , I hooked them up to see if they work and yes ! They do work ! Here are some pics :

○ I'm so glad that I dont have to buy more Supra parts ! These lights will be good for now...

○ Anyway , I decided to give the 180 some respect too and I bought some new Bride Brix I seats and a Nardi wheel. Here are some pics :

○ I bought all of these from a local UpGarage , and I must say , the seats were quite cheap and they're also really comfy ! I picked them up for 799V$. I hope these seats will hold me in place while I drift...

○ Also , the Nardi wheel was 166,38 V$. It's pretty good I guess...

○ Anyways , here's a pic of the seats and the steering wheel installed in the 180 :

○ I'll keep the stock seats in case I want to sell the car , but if any of you want the seats , feel free to PM me.

○ The 180 still doesn't have a left taillight , but I'll get some new ones before the weekend. We're going drifting this up-coming weekend boys !

○ Anyway , thats all for now , I cant wait for the Supra parts to come in but god damn , this little "shopping spree" that I did kinda slimmed my budget. Oh well , it had to be done !

○ See ya guys around !
