HI!

My name is Lucas but better known as Wypple, i'm 17 yrs old (not really), i live in Argentina, Entre Rios and i love cars since i remember.

I'm working in a mechanic workshop with my dad bringing some help or doing jobs, since I was 12 years old I was saving money, so that when I have my driver's license I can afford to buy a car, today I have 445,100 pesos (which is 20,000 dollars), i know it's a lot of money for what i have in mind but helps me a lot.

And today is the day! last week I was able to get my driver's license and yesterday i buy my first car after a long time of searching in Mercado Libre (which is the latin american ebay).

This is my Renault 12 1994 TL (it's the argentinian version), it cost me 17.500 pesos (786 dollars), i know it's ultra cheap but look he's condition, paint doesn't match, it's dirty and is missing parts.

It looks good, but I think it's rusty in some parts that I can not see, so I'll need bodywork, the suspension is pretty decent but it's an old technology and i want coilovers on it.

It only came with the block, but I will make it more sporty and I will change it to 20 valves (it is carbureted so it will be more interesting).

And finally the interior, for surprise the seats only needs new cover but i will buy rear seats because it's missing, the steering wheel it's good too so less work on this side.

That's my car, I hope the project is fun for you and me, luckily my father leaves me free time to work in it, I have to say that money does not collect everything by myself but my father also helped me by putting a part.

Thanks for your attention!

i help me with the google translator so if something it's wrong sorry.

Dr.Zoom: and more cars i think haha

Mr.Stance: I decided to maintain it 1.5 liter and 16 valves, well, now back to reality, this car have a 4cil 1.4 liter and 8 valves (obviusly carbureted), so i'm gonna try to keep it more realistic and use that configuration of engine i mentioned previously. Maybe in the future gonna be turboooo!!

Going to the Bodyworker

Today in the very morning, my friend came with his truck to take the R12 (Renault 12) to the Bodyworker (I called both yesterday).

Ok, so you can see we striped out completly exept the body parts (how doors, hood, trunk).

I asked him to fix as much as possible the parts with rust and paint it in a color that ... (we'll see), also that welds back the legs of the engine since the previous owner used it transversely and actually It goes longitudinally.

Here is a pic of the interior.

This is a very important part of the project, so if you can give me ideas, give it!!

The Block and Internals goes to Rectification.

Today I called my friend again to take the motor to the grinding machine and he has accepted completely (what a good friend xD), so we put the engine in the box of the truck and we took it.

The guy of the grinding machine told me that it can do the verification of the crankshaft, the connecting rods and the pistons, so i accepted (i will pay more money).

And the bodyworker told me he can finish the job in 2 days (amazed, lol), so we can take it to my house wednesday and the engine will be on the car the same day but we take it tuesday.

That is the update of the car, it still needs a lot of work, so it will be a long project.

SURPRISE!

Yesterday was a another very special day, because i bought one of my dream cars!, the car in question it's a 94' (same year than the Renault) Nissan 200sx, i'm very lucky because in Argentina it's very hard to find one.

I Found it in Mercado Libre (Latin American Ebay) for a 245,000 pesos (10,864 dollars) with 183,000 kilometers on it.

(This car it's a alpha, so it have some bugs, for example in the last pic the engine bay it's not 2sised so we can see the interior)

It's in very good condition and have a SR20DET! (Cuz the CA18 don't work for me), and all the other parts are stock.

I bought it because i need a daily driver but i will do some mods. Even so the Renault 12 project will remain in force.

DON'T PAY ATTENTION TO THE PICS, ONLY TO THE STORY

Because i used better mods, just look a next post, there i explain why.

Back with the Renault 12

Yesterday the missing parts for the R12 arrived at my house (I ordered them the same day I took the engine to the grinding machine), previously I took the seats to a carpet cleaner and with my friend we took the engine and the car to my house, today I started put all the stuff.

Here is a pic.

This is the color I chose, the common colors for this car are white and blue, so combine both and this happened.

I did not have time to take a picture of the engine bay, but nothing impressive there.

And if you can see the missing parts are now on it (left mirror, a taillight and the rear seats).

Anooooother thing I have to say is that I sold the suspension because I will put new technologies in it.

First little things for the 200sx

If i can name the 200sx as a project this is the first step, yesterday (how all the updates :)) ) i bought a tachometer, a strut bar and a shift knob in a local shop, i also took the 200sx to an exhaust workshop and asked for a custom exhaust, the guys of that shop helps me with the tacho wiring (i put the knob and the strut bar by myself, fcking easy).

Here some pics of the works done.

The exhaust it's made in stainless steel, that is because i don't want rust on it.

Outside the RP (or not) i have to say i change the car to the RPS13, it's the exactly same car but with no bugs and shit, also i change the engine to a CA18DET, that I did not use before because I could not find some parts (this is also the real engine that comes with the car).

Hey , In vk there is a CA18DET much better than that, it was the one that I used for the 200SX of @stratowolf
It's a good mod, I recommend it!
