# radcoon :

Greetings from Downunder

Don't worry I ain't gonna bother you with party pics! ;)
I landed at Brisbane Airport in the early hours and got picked up by Mark in his (my) Supra!
That thing went through some changes. Engine got some serious upgrades! So he dropped me up at my parents house.

As you see we also own a honda! :D

And yes, I got some car roots.
Here's my dads Impala. US Import sometime in the 70's and his ever since.

Btw. my mom got a 90's Mitsubishi Galant. :)

As it was about to party hard Eamon picked me up in his LB BMW M4 (EU import).

And of course him and mark had a bit of fun on the drive.

Well might be some party pix :D!

Today, with a less worse hangover as expected, we met with Liam to catch some waves.

So now I'm about 5 hours from tokyo and have some sleep.

Cheers mates.

Ha! That impala is a nice family car :D ! I like old US Muscles. So is the Galant! Also seems like a nice car community down there!
Have a good flight!

Damn! You guys are too nice! thx so much for all, voted for my Soarer! I am honoured!

Thx Mackay! as I said i'm more than pleased with the work!

In general I didn't do much on my cars except enjoy the rides.

I've been very very lucky that I found a complete Today exhaust Set (incl. Manifold) for 700V$.

Took me a complete evening to change it. But at the end the effort pays off. It sounds so nice.

While driving around tokyo I met some guys that all run Hachirokus and have little meets and races at random tracks once a month. So besides the drifting that could be the next best way to get rid of all my money... hahaha
Actually I will go to a meet soon and than i'll see. The guys told me it might be a good Idea to run another AE for the racing as cars don't leave the tracks as nice as they entered. As if that would be so easy. :/

so far.... so broke....

thx man! yes I am. haha

Ebisu Drift Matsuri!

As it is holiday I took the advantage of driving to Ebisu for the Drift Matsuri! Yeah yeah yeah.
I decided to put on the 17" wheels (spare tires are cheaper) and the old bumper. So three full days of drift fun.
Luckily we got a bonus at work so I was able to afford it without starving! :D

So. I attended G1GP on Wednesday. And man all these guys from around the world! Had so much fun! Well results... not worth to even talk about.

Cornercutting! Not good!

Rest of the time I had a s...load of fun. night drifting, meeting up Alexi, Suenaga, salted and all those people you just follow on social.
Camping at a racetrack is also such a unique thing! sadly the weather wasn't always good but the tire wear was a bit lower due to that!

the only time I managed this turn properly

Lads i'm still pumped! It was amazing! Simply amazing! can't wait for August! It is Drift Heaven!

Cooling down at night.

Finally found the time to update.
Quite some thing happened.

First of all. I should the Soarer. Yes I know. I did this for three reasons. First: I really like to focus on the "racecar" project, second I got a great offer from a mate in Brisbane and third; there been nothing I'd could do to it to make it nicer. So as it kinda stays in the family I let it go...

(one crying eye for sure)

The mighty Levin in the meantime got new taillights. They're basically tinted stock lights with clear signals.

And then...

Race Car

Almost

I told you about these Hachiroku guys run around with? Well it turned out the one of them knew someone, that knew someone..... who's selling his Trueno he used to race and drift with. So we met and after some chatting and a view rounds with the car. I threw 12K on the plate. Well, I handed them over...

It's 86 AE86 hatch. Pretty worn down to be honest. But it's technical condition is ok. And it came with a load of parts.

It has the Blacktop version of the 4GE installed now. But there is a "bluetop" with supercharger that has 50.000km on it as a "spare" :D

The inside is pretty simple down to it's racy use. Buuuut. A Nardi Orido :-X .

Anyway. If I managed to look through all boxes I'll give you an update what's there :)

As the installed HKS coilovers been pretty much done (need a proper rework) I managed to install the brand new D-Max Set I got for the ROTM comp.

As you can see, the guy was into white paint. :D But those brakes are worn to the ground. Need new pads and discs.

And here the other engine is chillin'

So that's it for now. I'm at MACKAY's place, jumping into the S14 and later I need to convince him to do a cage for this little beast soon!

See you at this Meeting later.

Well last post been a while. Had some things going on.

Not much change on the Levin so far.

On the Trueno the BlueTop with Supercharger is in place and running. Still didn't find the time to setup the ECU properly.
In between I visited MACKAY and the guys did, again, a great job on the cage for the trueno.

As you might have noticed I went for new Fenders from a Levin. They are FRP and came so damn cheap. I also got a FRP bonnet so overall some less weight.

I thought about Carbon parts besides the hood. But as my driving skills are "reckless", I think FRP is the more reasonable choice.

Oh yeah, not to forget, I got a set of 16" TE's to fit with the Endless brakes.

Right now it's at the paint both with all the body parts. And I hope it will be ready to race in a couple of days! :D

Thx Dr.

Well the Trueno, which I call a Levin now is back with some fresh paint.

Now I just need to put on some stickers :)

For the engine bay... the Headcover is now black as well. And I got some new wires and belts to add a bit of color. :)

And last but not least... the inside....

Well that's it so far. I hope to get some track time soooooooon!

Oh, yeah the other one is still getting my ass around town.

 @Lagano!!!!

I managed to get a new picture with the Levin Coupe. Driving around Tokyo by night...

TRACKDAY

As you see, I got some of my stickers on it besides installing the rest of the parts.

So long story short. three of the guys and myself took a day off of work and went to a small circuit about 1 1/2 hours from tokyo. As none of our cars is registered we shared a transport truck. I missed to take a picture! But it looked just awesome those four on the trailer!
After all I need to say, It is really cool still having some rubber on the tires after spending a day on the track. I still need to setup the car proper as right now it want's to go sideways pretty much! Haha! Enjoy the footage...

Scary moment, almost ended up in the rocks!

Yeah I got overtaken a lot of times. My corner speed needs to be improved!

That's one of the AE's my friend owns... Pretty much stock on the outside but a twin turbo setup! Sound so sick!

This one just got finished a week before mine! Sick machine as well! So much carbon parts... damn!

That's racing. One of the guys endet up in the barriers... Luckily it was just the pumper.

So.... that's it for now.

Cheers lads.

Yeah Soju, was really a blast.
So sad but true... I got rid of the Levin Coupe. Simply had such a good offer so I could create something else with the money.

I also Invested a bit the the hatch and after quite a long process I been able to register it with my old plates. ;)

For the street use and to match the look I went for a set of SSR Mesh's. I think the look just great even tho they are not black.

Last weekend we went for some Dori Dori to Nikko. And of course I had a damn good time.

So I am still happy with my little racer! Work fine and I do some progress....

And then.....

NEW CAR

As we all know those Mark2's go quite cheap over here. So I am happy to call a 91 GX81 Cresta my own now!
It is a MT with our 180.000km and of course it hade a crash repair. But 1.500VK is quite fair for a car like this. The previous owner had some Greedy coils installed So it sits damn low already.

I sure get you some more pics from when it's worth to look at it ;)

So far.... cheers

What could possibly go wrong?

...everything

If you know Ebisu you know something went wrong here.
Long Story short, went to Ebisu on Sunday and I had quite a good day drifting around....
Well... until I over spinned a "bit". I simply couldn't catch it anymore. And as you see it is quite a stupid position to have anything unexpected happening.

So...

... it looks bad, it is bad! Besides the scratched and dented body parts the left steering link snapped the rear wheel is bent, windows and light are shattered... well the motor is fine and the chassis is okay.
Sadly as I wanted to take pics for the Ride of the Month yesterday.

Anyway.... there will be another update later about some nice things that happened....

Fuck man, I hope chassis is really okay and that the cage didn't distorted the body on the impact, because such rigidity sometimes does more damage than good, as example with strut bars, if you crash one side, then say bye bye, cause both strut towers will be pushed in. But looking at the pictures I guess that you will be fine, I am sure that we will buff out all the damages and hachiroku will be as good as new. Will definitely help you if you need anything man.

So... let's continue here. Skip came over and we kinda went full sherlock trying to find the damn thing is bend. Still not sure tbh. But thx again skip for helping out!

What we found is that the Front lower arm snapped off so that means some welding here. The carbon hood is cracked a bit close to the fender so if anyone is into carbon repair...

Let's talk about good things!

Garage

First of all thanks MACKAY! For sorting the contact and kinda keeping the "secret"!
During a long chat at this S-Chassis Meeting, it turned out that MACKAY's landlord built several garages all over Japan, M made the contact and we (my friends here in Tokyo and myself) met the guy here in Tokyo at this place! The last 4 weeks we (my friends here in Tokyo and myself) worked all our sparetime to make the place nice. So nice that two of the guys even moved in! But don't get this wrong! We did not open a garage as a business as none of us is willing to quit his job. It's kind of a DIY place so everybody is welcome to work on they're cars. We just charge for tool usage if you don't have your own or store the car inside or on the parking lot.And that pay's the rent. All Tokyo residents might understand!

Oh yeah... the cresta is basecoated now. And as you might remember I had that 17" Seekers. As nobody bought them ;).

So as I finally found another set... the cresta has some sweet shoes now. But not for long ;)

After skip left, I drove around and ended at the Art of Wheels. Picked up a nice new nardi for the cresta. And took some outdoor picks.
So make you guys see the front lip and the スリットスポイラー better :)

Thx man! You know we owe you big time! I'm on my way to you.

So before I left to MACKAY I made the Cresta ready for paint. So after this weekend that should be done.
Some new seats and wheels should also arrive soon...

So the other thing I got from goo-net was a jzx90.... cresta... Bone stock except some Tom's wheels. Also an AT so it really will be my daily. Good thing about that is the tower and still shaken.

So I rented a trailer and went on my way to Osaka once again. Let's hope the guys will have good news at the end....

Not dead yet!

As you can see there was a lot of work going on on the little AE. A bit of welding here a bit of hammering there. K. Be more precise.
The "impact" effected the chassis (of course). So at MACKAY's workshop the chassis got straighten up. Also the front lower arm got replaced.
The dents on the body are hammered out so the rest could be done at the bodyshop in Tokyo.
As we spoke about my future project with this car the needed cuts and welding had been done in and around the engine bay.

The AE is back on the Trailer. Erwin showed up in his GTS. Sick one! TBH! The BBQ got lighten up. And we're surrounded by amazing people and cars.
Later tonight we might end up here....

And yeah I'm waiting for that "front desk girl".... blame me if you like! IDC

Cheers

I am happy that we managed to sort everything out and help you with your build, I am sure that hachiroku will be shredding again in no time, can't wait till you make your new plans for this car reality.

Also good luck tonight, I am sure that you will get along nicely. ;)
