# skip : Nice. I used to own a Mark II like yours.
Hey, in a couple of weeks I might offer that one to you! :) Nostalgic feelings?

# Dr. Zoom : That white one on seat as I saw on online photo.

Hahaha! No way man. Those seat covers are amazing! (took them off already)

# radcoon :

NEW CAR!

No... it's not another project. I guess. Basically got it because at this point I got no running car.
It's a 1993 Toyota MarkII Grande. Not that I like it that much. But it was the fairest thing below 100.000VYEN in Tokyo.
It still got 3 month of registration and insurance. Runs quite okay. Probably the ugliest daily around.

°LINK°
don't mind the 2.5L badge... it's just 2.0L

Not running Levin

Brought the AE to the close workshop and the guys took out the engine after I disassembled the body parts. So I was able to work on the soarer by that time.
The engine and gearbox will be sit around for a while. As I might work on the chassis first.

Legless JZZ30

As we little boys are hard to be patient with new toys I installed Nardi, Seat and Belt first. I'll get better pics soon.
Getting closer to a "racer" now.

So while there was work going on on the Levin, my buddy and me took off the whole suspension (well it took the whole night). Coffee helped as well!
As well installed the Tomei so the Soarer is ready when the D-Max delivery is arriving.

That's it for the moment.

thx!

Another evening / night at the workshop has ended.
So by now the d-max parts are mounted, suspension back in, brake system mounted. Need to float it tomorrow then.
I picked up a fender at upgarage for 30V$ as well as some parts for the engine (greedy intercooler plus piping and hks airfilter) for 400V$.

I scored at a yahoo auction for some new wheels and tires. Aaaand some boxes from Origin Lab arrived today as well.

Didn't tough the Levin today.

Got Caged!

So I got up very early yesterday morning for a short trip to visit MACKAY's garage in Osaka.
Arrived just the minute they opened and been warmly welcomed! Let me tell you, that place is clean!
The guys at the shop started working on my SC straight after they rolled out a couple of the cars.
A couple of hours later I got this!

Great piece of work!
Meanwhile I had a chat with MACKAY and he showed me all the cars they had right now. Also his R34. Which is, by all means, an awesome car!

So if you need a great workshop and/or a custom roll cage. This is the place to go!
Thx so much!

After I got back to the shop over here, I managed to put on the rest of the Bodykit. Another night in the garage :)

Now the Soarer is at the Paintshop next door. Hope to get it back together on Monday to get the Shaken (車検) done by Tuesday.

Today, besides streaming the D1GP Qualy, I ripped (well unmounted) some parts of the Levin. Still dreaming about that R34...

Have a great weekend, lads!

No need. My Engine is running just got high milage. And it's a matching number to the chassis. Which I like! But thx!

...

As the Soarer was hiding at the paint booth, I managed to do some work on the Levin. While watching D1GP. Btw; did anyone else?

On the plus side. The gearbox itself is okay but the the gears are pretty worn out, 3rd lost some teeth as well. So fixable!
Sure might need a new clutch etc. I didn't touch the engine so far.

The body is stripped and I started some bodywork. Not much to be honest! Now the bodykit hunt might start :)

So much about the weekend.

Guess who's back

Sry for that stupid quote ;)

Early this morning the Soarer got back in the Workshop.

Paint just got hardened out. I went for Nissan's Platinum Blue Metallic KG1 (came on the s13 from 90-92).

After I finished the suspension adjustments I screwed on the new wheels, we're now on 18" work equips and went around the block.

yeah I attached a bumper quick release... I guess you understand why.

I could' go lower but I want it to be drift able even at Ebisu.
Tomorrow I hope to get the Shaken done.

So that's it for today.

Small update on the Levin.

Now the Levin is getting some new paint.

Drifting at Nikko

I had a great day at Nikko Circuit. Overall. Arrived at around 9:45am after I picked up two pairs of used spare tires.

I took off my front bumper (I learned) and the mechanics at Nikko helped me out change the Tires.
The new Setup on the car feels good. Way different than before. Also I could feel the car is heavier than before as it straightens up
quite soon. Might be time for a bit more power.
Anyway.
Little action shot here:

Cheers!

Do you still have the old aero? , because in some tracks like ebisu you need if or if you have bumpers, lights and things like that, if you do not have it, get an aero stock in a scrapyard, and paint it white so it looks more or less well and you can run

Hachiroku
He's back. Painted in 147 (1987 original silver metallic).

I picked up some Bride Fabric for 200V$ and worked my way through the interior! :

As the stock pedals been not that nice anymore I went for some Race Spec ones which I picked up at upgarage for 230V$.

At upgrade I picked up a Set of TRD Coilovers for 300V$.

So now it's all about putting parts back on and find some taillights...

Thank you guys! Far too kind! Yepp, took one day to finish it.

Street ready!

After I brought back all those cleaned parts I went to Upgarage for new taillights. And found those:

A Set of work equip 01's :drool2: I couldn't resist! Even if those 1.800 V$ kinda hurt on the car budget side.

There are still things I want / need to change on the Levin. But for now it's ready to get registered.

Yepp engine still stock. Besides the air filter that came with it. As the tranny is was repaired and I want to get this thing on the road. The guys helped me
to get it in.

That's it for the Levin for now.

With the help from saletl (finding salvage title cars on yahoo) I'm awaiting a car trailer tonight with a "new" project!

Yeah skip. Those are old enkei's. Need to check what they're exactly. No Idea for a price yet.

New Car!

Late night this Chaser arrived at my place.
Guess what. There is a 1JZ-GTETwinturbo underneath the bonnet!
It was classed as salvaged and described the following "problems":
- alternator failure charge lamp lighting seems to cause
- Battery
- Damper play
- Exterior aging
- does not open trunk
- paint aged out

Came with classic BBS' which I might sell ;)

Thx skip. Well will be pretty stock. No real plans yet as I need to gain some money for it.

Got the Levin registered today. Custom numberplate! ;)

Later that evening a friend helped out towing the MarkII to the workshop.

So a new battery helped much. And after an oil change we fired up the engine!
Of course some more "problems" turned up. The exhaust is ... well... there is metal surrounding all these holes :)
Brakepads are done and the damper play is due to broken damper shafts in the back (how the hell...?)

A lot of things to do so we decided to bend the fenders! :D

A guy at the workshop did it anyway so we did it on my car.

Greetings from Downunder

Don't worry I ain't gonna bother you with party pics! ;)
I landed at Brisbane Airport in the early hours and got picked up by Mark in his (my) Supra!
That thing went through some changes. Engine got some serious upgrades! So he dropped me up at my parents house.

As you see we also own a honda! :D

And yes, I got some car roots.
Here's my dads Impala. US Import sometime in the 70's and his ever since.

Btw. my mom got a 90's Mitsubishi Galant. :)

As it was about to party hard Eamon picked me up in his LB BMW M4 (EU import).

And of course him and mark had a bit of fun on the drive.

Well might be some party pix :D!

Today, with a less worse hangover as expected, we met with Liam to catch some waves.

So now I'm about 5 hours from tokyo and have some sleep.

Cheers mates.
