new car.....again

so yeah, like the title says, i've gotten myself a new car. I bought it from one of Marcus' friends up in Osaka for Y800,000, pretty good price for what it is.
Had to get the train up but lets just say never again.
too
fucking
long
Its currently:
-SR20DET swapped
-Lowered
-SSR Mesh 16"
-Purple tints
-Resprayed cream
-Dented ass exhaust
-Shaken for a week (:/.)
-pretty much stock everywhere else

I like how it is so far, i always wanted one and thought I should jump on this offer when I was told about it.

Met up with one of my friends after, Haru, with his sick R32 Skyline GTS-T
also gave me a chance to get used to the C33

thats it, bye

Little update on the S2000
well its not that small

So the S2K has gone through a medium-sized change since you seen it last. I bought a set of J's Racing skirts from UpGarage for Y42,000 which is pretty cheap for genuine stuff. Had a few scratches here and there but they got resprayed anyway. It got repainted for Y74,000 in Spa Yellow, which is an original color for S2000's. I like it a lot more than the original black.

It's also now sitting on a set of Motegi MR401's that I bought about a week ago i think. Not big enough imo but they do the job.

more shit tomorrow if i remember.
Finances:
Buying and selling wheels: -V$1,250

Now your S2000 surely stands out a bit more haha. Wheels are kinda small as you said, you should try to fit a set of 18's from my S14.

roots

If you couldn't tell by the picture, I'm back in Ireland for a while. I haven't seen my family in about 3 years so this serves a double-purpose if you want to say that. I always knew I had to go back for family reasons, I just never thought I'd be staying for a lot longer.

It's nice to have a break from just Japanese cars all the time too, since there is a pretty big euro scene here. Also a pretty big change in scenery, and car style.... and lots of other things. But never mind that.
I'm gonna be staying with my cousin Conor for the next couple of weeks as we go to meets, drift days etc. He has a 2 car garage thats big enough for the both of us so he let me stay. He drives a yellow Altezza, which he has owned for 12 years so far I think. You might remember it from when I used to be in Side to Side, it was blue with a stickerbomb roof and trunk, absolutely slammed and abused. Since then its gotten a full TRD kit and some other things I will talk about later.

Now its time to talk about my purchase. I stayed away from Japanese cars and bought a 1993 BMW E36 325i for V$1,550 from Donedeal. BMW's are pretty cheap in Ireland for some reason. This E36 has a set of coilovers and a welded diff, apparently it was gonna be used as a track car but it never got started properly. I plan to track it too but keep it streetable because its my only car as of now.

I bought this E36 in Naas, Kildare which is about a 2 hour drive from Galway, which is where I'm currently living.
It looks to be on a set of newish springs, a welded diff and some shitty budget tires.
Body is in good enough condition for its age, no rust or major scratches because the last owner gave it a 2 stage paint restoration so it looks kinda shiny.
Engine is running good, no knocking and has never been overheated which is a good point because a lot of people boil BMW's here.

So after about half an hour I turned up at Conors place. First thing I seen pulling up was the bright Yellow Altezza... its kinda hard to miss tbh.
Snapped up a quick pic before heading inside and parking properly.

Conor's Altezza has been through a lot. It came from being a stickerbombed drift bitch to basically show-car condition.
It currently has a full TRD kit, 18" XXR 527's (popular on Altezza's here), custom exhaust made by Conor, Recaro semi-bucket seats, Driftworks steering wheel, TRD LSD, BC coils, bigger brakes, Haltech ECU, blue HID's, Garda scanner and yellow fogs. I've probably forgotten something but oh well.
Conor is the main organiser of Galway Cruises (meets), so he's pretty well known to the Gardaí. He's organising a meet pretty soon so we hope to have the 325i ready by then so he doesn't have to risk getting another court summoning, he's just back on the road after a 6 year license suspension for "reckless driving"....you can probably assume what that was.

So thats basically it for now.... took one last "beauty" pic of the 325 before heading out for the night and "celebrating"
(more like getting fawked)
Started to get dark anyway.
More tomorrow when we start working on it.

Meet 13/4/2018

Long time since I posted actually but anyway

Conor's meet was delayed until yesterday because the Gardaí found out about the after meet location. Was kinda bummed about it tbh, was kinda excited for the first meet in ages. It gave me a chance to modify the E36 a bit more tho, which I guess you can say was good.

So the E36 has gotten a few minor mods since I last updated, its gotten:
-a full set of CST Hyper Zero's in 17" from Japonic
-5x120 to 5x114.3 ebay adapters all round
-custom catback made by conor
-banner & M-Sport sticker
-A Renault Laguna lip
-Painted grill black

so these all cost V$965 in total, the wheels costing V$900 alone. Cheap enough for such a big change.

We made our way to the meet at 10 p.m. I forgot to take pictures for some odd reason..but it was a pretty good meet. Got to see some of my OG friends which was nice.
The next location was about an hour drive from the original meet location so it was already getting to be around 2:20 a.m. when we got there.

So me, Conor and a few other friends went to our after-hours spot...which is basically a roundabout.

My friends cars had evolved a lot since I was with them last...before I left PJ (in the yellow S15) had a rusty red TDi Bora and Chris (in the red Civic) had a 1992 Toyota Starlet. Not a GT Turbo...a one liter, base model.
eek

So we got straight into drifting. The E36 performed pretty well I guess. It doesn't have TONS of power but it still has enough to get some smoke going.
Me and Conor tandemed a lot through the night, gotta say it was pretty crazy.

It was about 4:40 when we left. We had an hour and a half drive to do to get home...which we had forgotten. But oh well.
Obviously, being in Ireland it was necessary to leave some rings somewhere. The junction 20 miles outside Galway city was the perfect location I thought.
i thought wrong.

I was promptly pulled over 10 minutes after.

Garda gave out like shit to me as usual, "shouldn't be doing this", "never pass NCT like this" etc etc
Ended up getting a V$350 ticket and a court date for Reckless driving, Illegal tint (where?) and too loud exhaust.
shit
Drove home sad n shit....guess im just lucky my car wasn't towed or anything.
Hopefully I can keep my license after the court date.
gotta pay this fucking shitting ticket now fuck

so thats pretty much it for the meet, will be fitting more parts soon, baii

As usual, police is nowhere to be seen unless when doing stuff like this. Still, could be worse. Like getting caught while doing tandems lol.

Also E36 looks very nice, the new wheels look kinda strange on it but they make it look quite aggressive!

I'm still kinda bummed about it but I'm just happy Conor wasn't caught, he doesn't have the best reputation with the Gardaí

I like the new wheels too, gives the car an aggressive look like you were saying.

Yeah I actually got off pretty easily for what it was...usually its car impounded and license gone.
Pretty happy with the way it is rn too, getting it ready for track as we speak.
and i guess its pretty sick, definitely not what I was expecting, before I left they were complete opposites of what they are now.

Little update btw,
on my way to pick up two bucket seats and rails from a guy in Dublin so its a 4 hour drive to and back...see ya soon
also got my court date tuesday.

Court

So court was delayed until today... rolled up at 1:20pm and went into the court room as you do.
Got 3 points on my license and a suspension for a year :/
Kinda ended my "holiday" really. Gonna be selling the Beem tomorrow hopefully and heading back to Japan again, I've stayed pretty much as long as I was saying.

Gave it a mini detail and wash inside and out, got it ready for sale in general. Kinda sad to see it go but it was only temporary anyway. I'm sending the CST's to my house in Tokyo and the car will be sold on its original wheels.

Have a few things to be done back in Tokyo...excited to get back and started on them I guess!
