First off, hello there! How've you been? I've been doing great, in fact I've been doing more than great.
I've decide-hold up I haven't even introduced myself, how stupid of me.
My name's Vuzeo! And recently I moved to Japan from the Balkan states (don't ask why) with a very close bud of mine yngsensei.
We decided to start a life abroad in Japan specifically Shiroishi in the Miyagi prefecture as we try to take a better hold on our lives and start from the ground up.

We moved in into a nice home and when we started to look for jobs we realized we needed a car and decided on a rough budget of 20,000$, seeing as we're very big fans of the Touge and JDM scene in japan.
However with a budget of 20K and many debates we decided to settle on a Honda EG6 (1998)

This fit our budget quite nicely but we still wanted to make it a car, not a bruised plumb.
We rented space in a nearby garage to work on it periodically when we're not driving it!
We even came up with a spin-off name based on the popular manga series Initial D called "Onset B".

Will make sure to post updates to the car as me and yngsensei work on it but until then, keep on stancing!

Hey guys, thanks for the replies! Well 5K seems too much for a beat up Civic, but the chassis and engine are okay, it's just the plastic bumper that's fucked up. Also the price is that high because of the engine. But we'll show you later on, currently we're busy with paperwork, college and jobs. Cheers'

What's up guys? These days I've been busy with Vuzeo, we were searching for a car for myself, because he's gonna be driving that Civic. Well first of all yesterday we removed the front bumper, or at least what was left of it, and luckily there were no damages to the chassis.

Okay, now to the part where I come in. I was searching for a couple of cars, and first things first, yes as you could've guessed it, it's another Nissan... But hey everyone likes what they like.

Would you look at that. Another beat up S13...

Okay yeah, it's been a pretty decent drift car, from a guy I knew back in 2016 when I was in Japan. He told me that he's been drifting it for a year and he beat it up pretty bad. But hey, the car was V$2200.

It has seen better days...

But, having in mind that it was a drift car, there were some mods installed. First of all there's the straight pipe extending to the dual shotgun style mufflers, a slightly used intercooler, camber plates, and better brakes. The downside is that the front left shock is dead, and... well the head gasket is trashed, the turbo needs refurbishing and a new clutch has to be installed.

ALL THE FINANCES WILL BE DONE ON THE END OF EVERY WEEK, STARTING FROM THE NEXT WEEK

On a side note, I took the EG6 tonight on a small run and gotta say, she packs a punch!

I think I'm beginning to fall in love....

I also have to add, oil replaced and a full tank of gasoline. The 5,000$ price point was worth it. No problems in driving it, no problems in steering, the brakes are responsive and for being almost my age she feels like brand new!

5k are bit too much, I agree with other guys. Beat up civic worth like 100 between 2000. Did you forgot to research?

It is an EG6 after all, and as far as I know they still keep their price, it is not that expensive imho

So.... Tonight me and yngsensei went out to Mt. Futatsumori to test her the right way.
Sadly.... The brakes failed.
Will Investigate the cause and update soon on what caused the brake failure.

Yngsensei was the one who filmed this:

Oh no. :( Your Civic looks totaled so you don't really have to find out why the brakes failed.

(good job with that video, it looks exactly like if someone filmed it in the middle of the night haha)

it doesn't look good, I think that the driver might've been trying to brake as I can see some smoke, or maybe they just locked up. idk tbh haha

Okay.... SO. Thanks to a really fast tow service, we were able to tow it to our garage:

Luckily, the engine's not damaged. How it survived I have no idea! Btw, engine reveal time!

Even the rest of the body seems fine, except the front:

I think a new chassis and body work might cost me around 4,250$ but I need to get a mechanic to evaluate the costs. The tow was around 250$ so that's the least of my budget gone. Not to mention how I'll need a new battery and windshield.
The sum might end up being around 6,000$. But I will post updates when I find a good and "cheap" mechanic.
Not to mention the parts.

Well @Lagano, the car's mechanical parts are fine, just not the body sadly :( (Thank you tho!)

# Hidden Username : I knew 5k is stolen.

I kind of have to agree on this one, but they worked on regular trips downtown and my daily route. Could just be well-worn out brakes.

I did, it was futile sadly :( (Thank ya! It was yngsensei's idea and expect more highly edited stuff in the future from us @KondzixsPL!)

I suggest you guys take everything that has some value to it and chassis swap it, I can find you a cheap beater civic that will obvs have some rust to it but it'll be 1000pln/250usd/200gbp max + shipping
((btw you posted literally seconds after I did lol xd))

Y'know I'd so be down for an 86 but I'm gonna stick with this until I can find a chassis. If not, I'll be sure to contact you immediately.

We probably will, we're already looking through dumps and listings and we'll post if there's anything in the near future! (Hehehe)

# Sleepin mOnkey : get a new shell for 200-600 and swap the good stuff

Will try to do that!

Added 51 minutes later:

At often, late night searches and Googling can lead to finding great things. Sometimes a new thing about yourself, sometimes new things outside.
This time, it helped me find a better solution:

1499$ for a chassis with wheels, rims and weight reduction already done. However, it can only arrive around the end of the week since it has to travel around 1.394km's/866m's to us in Shiroishi. Bad news is I have to pay an additional 500$ for "shipping" which is okay for paying 1699$ for a better and not rusted chassis!

Well the story of the Civic is tragic to say at least, but we were able to salvage the engine and everything else besides the chassis.
Nonetheless I was busy with the S13. First of all the engine was No.1 priority. I got the head gasket for the SR20 and refurbished the turbo. A new clutch was installed too.

It's still dirty...

But, the time invested in the engine was well worth it. Because it finally runs!

IT SHOOTS FLAMES!!!
