So lets jump into my older car for a bit - So i've been thinking to play around with my good ol' 86 since i was kinda tired with my Evo Project. So i visited my old friend who lived in Tokyo (he's the guy who painted the car) and decided hang around for a bit for a few days. Then suddenly Mackay told me that he and his friends which came from Korea (!) are planning to visit Drift Matsuri which luckily happened near the place i was at the moment, which is on Nikko Circuit. Well, not quite far, but not as far if i were in Osaka, Duh. Mackay told me that They also did some blog about their cars. i've been reading some of them and i'd say they're pretty cool. Can't wait to meet them irl. Anyway, do you wondering what i'm doing at Tokyo for the last few days? Well, other than visiting Akihabara and fulfill my inner weeb shit, i cruised the infamous route that people probably kill theirselves to visit for: C1, baby! Well, it's not the first time i drive at this route, but it just keeps getting better and better everytime i visit this place. I didn't try to hoon around though - would be pretty risky to do it with a car that the legality is pretty much questionable like this. As i'm writing this i'm on my way to Tochigi so yeah, gonna post more soon. |

So guys remember that i've been in a travel to Nikko few days ago and i haven't post any updates on it, well, because, i kinda fucked up.
So i meet a bunch of Cool guys with sick drifting skills - 11000RPM, Bad.compqny, Mackay, Lagano, Skip , Soju ,KondzixsPL and a bunch of people i couldn't remember. You remember that i said that 11kRPM and Soju were Korean natives - so i hope they'll be enjoying Japan! Anyway, all of them were also an active blogger IIRC. check their own respective page. Some of the pic i use for the update also from theirs, so thanks a lot guys! Ok, back to the topic, so what happened with my 86? Well you guessed it - i crashed. I don't think this is an uncommon thing anymore since i always trash a car in every few months. You can say that i did the style but no skill! Anyway You may wonder why it could happen? Well turns out that there's some kind of mistake - Not trying to be a tinfoil hat here - from myself and also the track. I got this kinda-blurry pic from someone who apparently did some photo hunt at the corner i crashed. I can see what's the mistake i've made here - i touched the kerb too hard and makes my car automatically tried to stabilizes while produces a Sudden Understeer. Due to it's raw power and a weight handicap i had to stiffen the suspension - Turns out it produces the problem instead. Ok here's the part that really grinds my gear so hard - Well, the crash is actually quite possible to escape but apparently there's some kind of huge boulder at the gravel trap that makes my car bounces and destroys both my Front Bumper and the exhaust. Then it ends with me crashing the wall, destroying the front suspension. You know that a race track Shouldn't have a fucking boulder in their race track, right? Jeez. Well apparently the damage wasn't violent enough to busted my car completely. Then i decided to do some deeper check up when i get into my friends' garage. In the end i called the towing truck since driving it was impossible and it forces me to dig my wallet a bit deeper. So far the problem that we've found was a cracked radiator, Missing Exhaust (Thanks 11000RPM for noticing me that thing lmao) Busted front right Suspension, curved wheels, Bent steering joint, and some of cosmetic parts were need some refinement. Some parts were pretty much fixable but some parts doesn't. I'd say while it's a shitty thing it also opens some chance to experiment new stuff with my car, both mechanically and aesthetically. Since i was pretty much free at the moment i think i will don't have any problem with... ....oh yeah i had another project car to do. Oh i'm so fucked up.... Glad that you seem to be fine, I was worried about you since there was an fatal accident at Nikko early this year- Magician JZX110 was about to initiate first corner then, his whole front suspension with wheel flew away to one spectator...

So yeah guys, shit happened, atleast it makes my Christmas more colorful light? At least i could say i was fine and nothing was harmed (thank you guys ily) but i'm sad to say i couldn't save my EVO since it has been sleeping well in the garage for a while. Pity that this car haven't got any proper track day before it was gone. Well, that was fun to build while it lasts. Also the Stagea was burnt out as well (don't really think y'all remember i had this one either) but i couldn't get any pic of it after someone throw it out to the junkyard without my consent.
The investigation was just concluded few days ago and it was not an arson at all (as i thought, lmao i always have a bad prejudice), It just a minor electrical fuck-ups that causing the fire. huuuuge warehouse defeated by one small zap-zap boi. Well now, what i decided to do? Ward seems had to be busy with his own personal stuff (can't complain, it was for education, for god sake.) So i thought i had to do it by my own for now. Since i had nothing left on Osaka i decided to move to... Tokyo. Guess it'll be far better since i was here for a while lately even though a lot of people had said that Tokyo is literally a hell. In before you asked, yeah, due to the taxes and lawn enforcement, it's hard to own a car if you're in the Tokyo, but you know, there always been a loophole. No, not that thing, you always could do things that impossible here. That's the rule. No matter how weird your income from or how much you change your car in a week. Anyway, back to my topic - So what kind of loophole i took? Well, why don't we put our car (or anything) INSIDE the building? Well, even though there's virtually no free land space here but i found one in Shiinagawa. The rent are quite high, though. Atleast i got a neighborhood which also a tuner called Seeker. I heard they specializes in small cars so it would be rather fun to explore. But first, since i had to spent all of my savings for this new crib so i had to so some extra jobs, like, yeah, washing clothes, cook, or whatever. Being a car guy is pretty rough. - - - Oh yeah have i mentioned about my 86? Well don't worry, it was in the good hands... updating soon. |
