Didn't think an S2000 would be seen here! Nice purchase.

Another car to the collection

I've been keeping this on the low, but a couple weeks ago i've been hunting for a new car. Went to a few dealerships but nothing got my attention really. Until one day i was doing some work stuff at the shop and a advertisment popped up!

Yahoo Auctions Japan, but it was a MR Edition Evo IX, super clean, but not really what i was looking for so i searched around for a bit until i found this:

A super clean 2005 AP2 S2000 in the OEM Formula Red color, black leather interior, stock F22C engine with 144k km on the clock and never been in a acident and no rust on it whatsoever, an all around beauty of a car! Only downside for me is the soft top but i may look for a hardtop soon.

Mod list is pretty nifty but simple, it sits on Skunk2 Pro-C adjustable coilovers and 18" CST Hyper Zeros with Toyo tires

I ended up winning the auction for 9.5k V$ and went down to Nagoya to pick it up yesterday, i must confess i'm not really a honda guy, i've owned a D-Series EG civic before that i ended up getting rid of because i didn't like it but the S2K and the F22C i must admit that are slowly getting in my heart!

Finances: 31922 - 9500 (uhh...a...honda...s2000....) = 22422 V$

Thanks Skip!
Yeah i've decided to go for something i normally wouldn't consider since i'm not really a honda guy, but the S2K is one of the models that go against the standard in my opinion :D

*thanks for the bump on the post as well*

It looks really nice, though, I'd suggest keeping the soft top, as most swap to hard top, making yours both unique and original.

S2000 is definitely no ordinary Honda haha. Nice rims on it too, reminds me of the S2000 Driftphantom used to have.

I agree with keeping the soft top cause it's easier to take it off so you can go on a topless cruise. :D

I should've bought a S2000 instead
, I agree with Skip and Fern about the keeping the soft top see if it's still mint though don't want any leaks when it rains.

Thanks to everyone for the kind words! :D (can't tag all of you hahah)
I'm gonna consider to keep the soft top i kinda agree with the point of view.

Zenkifix

Had a bit of time to spare and decided to drive to a friend's house and we fixed the rear bumper that i damaged a few weeks ago in a street sesh, it's all paint prep'd but i'm considering to repaint the car fully but in a different color.

Also got a last minute deal on these navan valances:

And another color for my silvia, hey atleast they kinda match the B-Wave :crying:
Paid 350 V$ for them, makes a hell of a difference in the rear.

Anyway, more updates on all cars soon!

Finances: 22422 - 350 (navan valances) - 20 (body filler) = 22052 V$

Borrowed my friend's SSR MESH for the front (since i'm running his rears too i wanted to see how it looks) i kinda fuck with the style of all 4 mesh wheels tbh.

Oh also i forgot to plug in my license plate lights so i had to remove the bumper again, and i forgot to bolt the plate back in place.
And yeah i kinda ran it over with my wheel so it's all bent and crooked now, but i'm keeping it as is, gives it a street vibe.

And the mandatory night shot!

Maxed out the Skunk 2 Pro-C coilovers. It sits pretty low but still has a bit of a wheelgap. This car is growing on me, its so fun to drive!

Drove around for a while and took this pic of the 2000:

Thanks @Soju and @Sleepin mOnkey!

RIP S14?

Took the Silvia for some practice runs to a open day event at Sazan Circuit...
Was pretty cool had a blast on that track first time ever being there, event was very well organized.

It was all going well until the worst happened...

Tie rod snapped mid transaction making me lose control and nail my car into a barrier...
I had to call a tow truck and i just got the car back to the cooldown HQ at Osaka so i don't know yet if it has any frame damage, but for now the damage is:

I'll keep this updated on whether i rebuild it or it gets scrapped, i like this car since it's my street toy so we'll see what it can be done to it!

As you will evaluate the damage first tip if the frame rail inst bent afther the firewall 100% salvable but also check the pillars and the main structure of the car (Look For Thick metal) if theres just some easy bent you could cut and re weld the frame or straight it and weld a U metal ovelaying. as for the front its kinda easy to tube but its no impossible replace it with other OEM structure but for all those repairs the welding is the most impotant thing.

Rebuild or part-out?

Haven't done much to my cars since i've been busy with some stuff at work and personal life.
What i've done more recently is this:

I took off all the damaged parts (basically the whole front end), guess i got a bit lucky because the frame is all straight, nothing bent which is surprising taking in count i slammed the wall pretty hard.

Now i'm facing a dillema... I own 3 cars (this silvia, the 180sx and the s2k) and this was a bit of a street toy, but then again they all are street toys. But i don't know if i want to throw the money necessary to fix the silvia or to just sell it as is. Car still runs and drives (doesn't drive so wheel because of a broken tie rod, bent steering rack and the lower control arm got hit pretty hard too).

So in the next few days i'm going to decide on whether i'm keeping this thing or nah, just a quick update on things for now.

If I were you I would price everything. Is the cost of the repairs more then you could earn by selling it? It could be worth keeping if it's cheaper.

Taking in consideration it's the lowest grade of the Silvia series, (base model N/A SR20, 4 lug etc) it's pretty much the same i'm gonna spend on fixing or parting out, if i manage to get a zenki or even kouki front end for cheap i'll rebuild it.

# marcus915 : F to this car i see sitting in the corner every time I go to the house

Funnily enough the one car i buy to get more seat time ends up spending the most time in the garage :))

Wheel hoarder

Bought a pair of Weds Kranze Cerberus II from yahooauctions.jp for 450 V$ with two mildly cooked tyres (still some thread left but they aren't new) , originally bought them as spares for my 180sx, but after a test fit on the S2K i kinda dig the look in it so they're staying for now.
Specs are 18x10 ET15, they poke a bit but nothing too crazy...

Finances: 22052 + 8550 (9 weeks missing the update on the V$) - 450 (Weds Kranze Cerberus II) = 30152 V$

Nagoya street sesh

Nothing much to add since last time other than me getting a 2004 Mugen AP2 lip for my s2000 for 650 V$
Drove down to Nagoya to help a friend move to his new house, did some street shit and nearly got into cop trouble. Managed to talk my way out of getting a ticket by saying "my clutch foot slipped"

The cop was cool enough to let that "slide" :^)

Anyway here's a pic of my S2K

Came to a conclusion my s2000's fitment was absolute trash, and i don't really daily it anymore because i drive around in a company car now a days...
So, like pretty much everything i own, i went to my man Mitsuru Haruguchi who most of you might know from way back in the day having a certain yellow FC slammed on its nuts running a BN Sports aero... i mean if you don't know him climb out from under the rock you live in! :))

Anyway, i got from his company (326 power) a full set of adjustable Chakuriki coilover kit with 26 step damping and 100/80kg spring rates.
I ended up spending a good amount on them, 2.5k in total with a "friendly discount" included.

Mounted them up at the cooldown house with the help of my buddies and they feel a lot more stiffer than my previous Skunk2 Pro-C's
Style wise was a major upgrade, car looks so spice, even though i scrape way more often.

But just look at it thooooooooo!

I'm also working on a little something as this goes down, lets just say a new car might be arriving to the cooldown house...

Finances: 30152 + 940 (last week update on the V$) - 2500 (326 Chakuriki coilovers) = 28592 V$
