Ohayou Gozaimasu!! And welcome back!
It's been a while since I've been active on here but I finally found some time to bring you guys some huge updates about what has been going on in my life. Well.. The last time you heard from me was when I wrote that I was going to move to Japan. And yes - It actually happened! But not like it was planned before.. I didn't move to Niigata. Instead I moved to mfkn Tokyo!! Or Adachi to be exact. I started going to University and work in an Up Garage to earn some money.
And some time later.. I actually got to buy my "first" car! A (almost) base-model Nissan Silvia (S14) with an SR20DE making about 180PS. This thing was a drifting starter car for one of my collegues at work. He knew exactly that I wanted to start drifting in Japan and since he got himself a JZX100 Mark II couple of days ago he didnt need this S14 anymore. So he sold it to me for 3000V$ plus some spare tires.
There's not much to say about this thing since its pretty much stock and only has some really basic upgrades. Those S13 Teardrops that are on there now were just bought as spare wheels and arent in the greatest condition. Same goes for the tires. It actually has some Tein coilovers but the shocks are toast and the springs have little cracks here and there. The only cool things about this build are probably the red Bride Brix driver seat and the old Momo steering wheel which I probably will keep in there for a while. Most of the other stuff will get sold or thrown away.. Like the welded diff thats just leaking oil everywhere and the straight pipe exhaust setup with the TODA exhaust header replica - which is also leaking. That's pretty much it. The biggest concern now is to get this thing up and running so I can get it officially registered.. Which is gonna be pretty hard considering that I live in Tokyo.. But let's hope for the best! |

Soo grassroots it rocks! Can't wait for the update.
Also registering seems won't take too long since it was pretty much clean, atleast from my naked eye |

The S14 is up and running!
Yup. You read that right. Yesterday I spent the whole day (and some money) to get this hunk on the streets of Tokyo.
To start off, yesterday I found some used Tein Sideway Master Super Drift for just 1.400V$. Obviously had to buy them right when I saw a customer coming in to sell them to us. Right after my shift ended I went straight home, got into my garage and started to take everything apart. I installed the "new" coils and checked up the exhaust system if the leaks are actually that bad as thought. And yeah.. They were REALLY bad. Good thing about living in Adachi is - TEC ART'S is right around the corner. I asked them if they could help me to get everything together so I could get this thing registered on the same day. They loved the idea of that challenge and agreed. We quickly welded those badly made replica headers together, aswell as the scraped-open straight pipe. We also just made some blast pipes for it since that muffler that was on it was toasted too. The whole procedure only costed me 600V$. When everything was finished the guys at TEC ART'S also helped me to get my S14 through Shaken and yup. It worked. The whole procedure with getting the plates was extremely fast so I could actually enjoy the rest of the day driving around and eventually cleaning it up a bit. What an successful day! It almost made me cry just thinking about that I'm actually driving around Japan in an s-chassis of my own :') (Yes... I'm a weeb.. I cant help myself) (Not the most realistic update but it would be kinda boring otherwise lol) |

HECK YEA!
I got some fresh new rims for the S14! A dude on my university sold some super cool, black Advan VS6 in 16x10! I just had to get them since I already knew how perfectley they would fit to the red colour. They came wrapped in some Falken Ziex which still are in a pretty good condition. Everything together costed me about 800V$.
Did a really quick photoshoot when I waited for some friends to come and get some food together. |

It's time for some bodywork!
The time has finally come to get some fresh new bodyparts for the 14! I got my hands on some real OEM "Navan" parts, consisting of the front bumper, sideskirts and the rear valances. I also got myself an S14 Kouki K's rear wing. Everything together costed me about 1.500V$.
It didn't took me a lot of time to get everything to fit nicely since those parts aren't cheap replicas :p I'm still waiting for some stuff to arrive but you guys should get to see it tomorrow or so.. Until then I have to keep you guys entertained with this half-finished POS.. But I should let you guys now that I'm currently preparing for my first actual drift event at Mobara Twin Curcuit! I'm so freaking hyped to be at my first drift event and I'm so happy that I'm getting to see some more of the local drift community in Tokyo! Dis gunna b gud x3c |

Mobara here we come! (w/ my (almost) finished wrap!)
Together with my colleague Kato (That one who sold me the S14 and bought himself an Mark II) I did some last touch-ups on my car. Obviously the build itself is FAAAR away from being finished but its good enough to jump on a little drift event. We looked after every single piece and bolt that probably could get destroyed on this weekend if everything was still intact. The welded diff is still leaking a lot - which means its a ticking time bomb and it will probably burst on the track.. (But lets hope not).
We also finished the wrap that I had planned for this car! Yeah.. It's only a wrap and not paint but maybe that will come later. The color I've gone for is - yup - PINK! IDK why but I always kinda enjoyed the look of drift cars in that sorta pastel-pink color. Just like that 4-door R32 from Team Gleam in the US. ->This one<- We both took an extra set of spare wheels (bought myself another set of VS6s in white with some new tires for 850V$), packed some snacks and drinks plus tents and drove straight to Mobara Twin Curcuit down in Mobara, Daida. I REALLY hope to see some of you guys! We gonna start our really small trip right now.. Seeya! |
