X30 REVEAL

-✘ Well.. Today is the day my project car is getting revealed to you guys, some of you maybe have already seen it wandering around Osaka or in my garage, but I know that majority of you never even heard of such car being built in Osaka. But that is about to change. ✘-

-✘ Here she is, a custom built and one of a kind - 1980 TOYOTA CRESSIDA X30. Basically the only thing that is left of her is the body and few bits of interior, as in the process of this restoration everything was taken from TOYOTA ALTEZZA RS200 or replaced with new or performance parts. Completely fixed body, all rust was removed, replaced by new fabricated bits of metal, also in the process the whole chassis was strengthened by new weld seams. The rear independent suspension was adopted from Altezza, everything including subframe, drive shaft, differential and other similar things. Front suspension was modified of existing Altezza parts and fabricated by us. The whole car was painted in dark purple color by me, by no means I am professional painter and its not excellent, but it definitely does it job, looks good. ✘-

-✘ The car sits on Altezza's TEIN FLEX coilovers which was adapted to X30. Heavily modified and custom made front arms for bigger steering lock which in result now we have 60 degree lock, also to get such camber the CUSCO CAMBER ARMS was installed. The brakes were also borrowed from Altezza. Welded differential, reinforced rear subframe mounts, also every single bushing was replaced with polyurethane bushings for more stiffer ride. Because of Altezza suspension, the wheelbase of Cressida got wider, and with the help of spacers it was widened even more. So in the end I am running -4.5 negative camber in the front and -2.0 negative in the back. Considering the purpose of this car the caster, damping and height was set to achieve stiffer ride and better handling, even on full lock we have no clearance issues. Also the car was fitted with new shoes - 15x7 Enkei 92 Classic wheels with Toyo Proxes R888 in the front for better grip and used Advans in the rear. ✘-

-✘ Well, the fun part I guess ? As you may already know, the new heart of Cressida is fully built, race engine spec 3S-GE accompanied with rebuilt J160 6-speed manual transmission. Completely new internals, only the crankshaft was kept stock because it is strong enough to hold big power and even more, ported cylinder head, injection system was replaced by 4A-GE 20V BLACK TOP 45mm individual throttle bodies, custom fabricated 4:2:1 exhaust header for more torque, straight pipe from the headers, stock ECU was replaced by Apexi Power FC ECU accompanied with FC commander, everything mapped correctly, HKS oil and water sensors, Motul 300V oil and filters and probably even more things which I can't remember. After the final tune, we were making making around 260 horsepower at the crank, which roughly measured would be around 220 horsepower at the wheels, considering the little weight of our car which is around 1040'ish kg it is more than enough to get her sideways. ✘-

-✘ The interior was fully stripped out for weight reduction, sound deadening and other things is gone, only bare shell, everything was painted in black. We did decent job in fabricating our own rollcage, we used seamless steel tube, and did it by FIA standards, so I will be well protected in case of crash. The seats are Bride Zeta III accompanied with 4 Point TAKATA harness, Nardi Classic Leather steering wheel, Apexi 10K RPM Gauge, HKS oil and water gauges and FC Commander on the glovebox, all those things were sourced from UpGarage, only the custom made handbrake was made by Shao. The gearknob was a gift from Russian guys. ✘-

-✘ So yeah guys.. Thats kinda it, the Cressida project is finally "finished", it took us nearly four months of sleepless nights and days, I can't thank enough to the ones who helped me, most importantly to the Shao and his crew for letting me use his workshop, and also the custom work he did, and also Oscar ( Terroras ) which helped me a ton, it wouldn't be possible without you guys. The whole project turned out very successfuly, and I don't even think of selling her now, considering how much time I spent working on her.. Unless someone pays more than 30' grand, any volunteers ? It is not my last project car for sure, as you know the saying, there is no such thing as "finished" for project cars. Also I can guarantee that another car might be coming soon, I can only tell that it will be two seater which will turn into another beast in the long run. But that is for future, only time will show. Here is one more picture from photoshoot. ✘-

-✘ To end the post I will post a "rolling" shot of Cressida and me behind the wheel, the face are blurred for safety reasons, oh and by the way those number plates are fake as I didn't registered her, rolling around still in Russian documents unregistered, hashiriya life you know, zero fucks given. ✘-

-✘ So yeah guys, keep an eye open for further updates, a lot of action coming in near future, peace! ✘-

"Leaving" Japan

-✘ Well, short update on what is happening. The Cressida is running awesome and well, did some "test runs" in touge accompanied by Oscar, will post photos later as we still don't have a lot to show, went there only to drive, no fancy pics. But this update is not about that. Me and Oscar are leaving the Japan for a week, we will be visiting United States, more specific California/L.A for some "business" things, as this was kind of impulse thing, I bought the tickets yesterday and we are leaving in few hours, at night btw. We will be spending whole week there as we will be leaving USA at August 30, so we will have a little bit of time to do some other things than doing "business", any offers ? Oh and by the way fellow car guy known as Sleepy ( Sleepin mOnkey's Topic ) was kind enough to let us stay at his place the whole we time are here, so that is awesome, can't thank him enough. ✘-

-✘ My lovely bimmer' at the parking lot, right after I bought the tickets, love this car, always puts a smile on my face when I see it. ✘

-✘ As I said I am not travelling alone, as you know, I got my partner for everything, called Oscar up, told the situation and in no time I heard reply - "I'm down, let's do this, buy a ticket for me too." I believe he have some things to do there too, haha. So here we are, packing our little bags for those few days and waiting for our flight. I am not going to get into detail what is going to happen there, but I will show soon enough. ✘-

-✘ So yeah, I believe we will update you all when we get there, keep an eye open for further updates, anyone local wants to meet up with us here haha ? Peace, till later. ✘-

Welcome to the USA

-✘ Yeah guys, short update. Few hours ago we landed in L.A.. So now in the morning we are headed to meet the "Sleepy". First impressions - everything is so different here haha, cars, people and etc.. So basically our plan is to "settle down" at Sleepy's place, get some rest, find something to drive, Sleepy said he may have something to lend us for those few days, so that is very good news. So whole day tomorrow we will be busy as hell doing the things we came here for, we hope to be able to sort it out in one day as everything is happening in L.A. After everything will be sorted out we will have 3 days to spend doing other things, so we may visit Vegas or something like that, "travel" a bit. ✘-

-✘ Stay tuned, will "reveal" everything tomorrow or on sunday.. ✘-

Adventures begins

-✘ Well.. Our day started at 6' in the morning.. But first things first before we get into detail. I must say thank you to "Sleepy" once again for hooking me up with amazing whip for few next days. It is cherry red Nissan S14 Kouki with a little bit modified SR20VE under the hood, it has ITB system, so the sound is amazing especially while revving oh boy, also it sits on Enkei RPF1's and on Tein coilovers, oh and also R34 Seats and steering wheel inside. Better words couldn't sum it up - very clean and fun car to drive ! Don't worry, I will take good care of her. So this morning we filled her up and went to do our "business". ✘-

-✘ But as you guys know me, I had to test her out, not the brightest idea of me but oh well.. Considering the fact it has around 200hp, she rips man, and the sound both of the engine and exhaust while pushing her to the limits is amazing. Everything was done on closed race track, more specific in Mexico haha. ✘-

-✘ So yeah, now to the "business" part.. As you probably noticed, I am in the docks.. Filling all kind of paperwork and shit. Yeah yeah, I bought another project car in United States, so now we are dealing with shipping company to get her into Japan.. Oscar bought something too, so we will be putting two cars in one bigger container, so we will save little bit of money that way. I am not going to reveal the car, but there is some hints all across my topic, so maybe someone will figure it out. The car should be in Japan at the beginning of September. ✘-

-✘ After the whole day of driving back and forth to the car lot, docks and Sleepy's workshop, we were starving, so we did "dinner" stop at local Burger King before going to Vegas, yeah Las Vegas. S14 sitting pretty in the parking lot. ✘-

-✘ So as I expected, we managed to sort everything out in one day, so now "relaxing" begins. You may ask, why Vegas ? Well.. As you guys know I was ZOCIETY member for quite a while, so I made quite "few" friends here trough forums and stuff, actually I am still one of them ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.. So they invited me over to meet them, so we will spending another two days here in Las Vegas, might do something cool, we will see. Lit content is coming. So now we are on the way to Vegas, more than 400km's of road. Love those wide roads in the USA. ✘-

-✘ So yeah guys, this is how we do things here. Will update you all after Las Vegas shenenigans. ✘-

Sleepy did hell of a job, drove this car all day, and now to Vegas without zero issues, definitely an awesome example, I like her a lot too haha ! I think I will keep our new project cars a "secret" till it arrives to Japan, you may find out sooner as we will have a lot of time to talk while building your E30 lol.

Las Vegas

-✘ Well, very short update on what is happening. As you know now we are in Vegas, staying at Cory's home, he is a fellow ZOCIETY member which invited us over. Basically all we doing is exploring and doing sightseeing now, basic "tourist" shit you know, but tonight we about to do something different because many members are coming here, so you know what to expect, many cool cars and stuff, so if you are into those cars, you should definitely keep an eye open. Here is a photo from his place, "our" S14 and two HR's.. The one in garage is boosted, running on low boost single turbo setup, pushing around 350whp.. Anyone recognizes that car? haha. The other one on bags, nothing crazy on the engine, just basic bolt ons, basically a showcar, low af. ✘-

-✘ So yeah, tonight we are leaving the S14 in the garage, so we will be taking passenger rides in one of those beauties, we are expecting some action tonight, but as you know.. Only the night will show ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ ✘-

ZOCIETY MEET

-✘ Well, promised post about the ZOCIETY meet. As you know we were taking passenger rides, me being in boosted one and Oscar in the other one "showcar".. Ofcourse on the way to the meet a lot of pulls from a roll happened, as Cory is always in tha "race mode 24/7" life haha. When we reached the spot there was a lot of Nissans, mostly Z' cars, but I only focused on our group cars, which was made up of like 8 cars. Long story short we had - boosted HR Nismo, x3 DE Nismos, HR Showcar with bolt ons, 2JZ-GTE Drift car ( mint color one ), DE "street drifter", and a stealthy full matte black morofoka which was LS swapped pushing around 800hp.. So yeah, photos from the meet. ✘ -

-✘ There is always that one dude, who starts doing stupid shit in the middle of the meet, which made us leave the spot, and do "something" else. Not complaining, because thats when everything began. ✘ -

-✘ We ended up in East Side of Las Vegas, where it is not so populated and there is few "neighborhoods" still under construction, so you get idea what we did. We got to experience some "American" street drifting action haha, it is completely different thing than drifting in touge or somewhere where you can't be "caught", and we all know how they deal with those things here in USA. Everything went smooth and calm that night, no crashes or fines were issued, of course someone called cops but we were able to disappear faster than they managed to arrive, we saw them driving there while leaving. The DE's owner offered me to take his car for a spin, so without hesitation I did that, not the best idea to do while being tourist in USA but why not, we did even crazier things back home, what could possibly go wrong, right ? ✘-

-✘ So, in conclusion our trip to USA was major success, we bought two cars, met a lot of cool people, did sightseeing, every bit of our trip was worth it. Thanks to Sleepy for providing house and car for us.. Basically we did more than we expected to do in those few days. We left the USA on August 30 and now we are back in Japan.. I was absent for almost whole month, so you can expect a lot updates on what happened and etc.. Also my "new" car is already arrived and in Japan, by the way I already started working on it, sold the BMW and got two other daily cars, also me and Terroras moved into new, bigger and better garage together, basically now we have small workshop, paying rent for it on monthly basis. So I will get into those things later. Picture of my F10 at the airport. ✘-

-✘ So yeah guys, I apologize for being inactive as my social life is killing me, I was working most of the time and doing other shit as always.. Keep an eye open for news, I should be more active once again. Will do finances and everyhing else later. Peace. ✘-

BACK TO BUSINESS IN JAPAN

-✘ Well.. Hello everyone, as it is almost the end of September I guess it is good time to overview what happened this month. Long story short it was very busy month, bought few new cars, moved into our new garage - workshop, did a lot of work, acquired myself a Roll Cage welder certificate, basically I was occupied with one thing or another the whole time. So lets get into detail. ✘-

-✘ First things first right ? Well, as everyone know I was visiting United States and the end of the summer and bought myself "new" car.. It arrived to Japan at September 6. Probably a lot of you were wondering what kind of car I got. So yeah, it may disappoint some of you as I didn't bought some kind of American muscle car, I kinda did completely opposite and bought a "Japanese" car there, oops. I got myself a 1972 Datsun 240Z. Once again basically the same story as Cressida, it is just a rolling shell with few other bits,oh and stock L24 engine obviously completely dead as expected. The only good thing is that the car is practically rust free as it was in California it's whole life, also all windows are in one piece too haha. Here is the pictures the seller sent me before I landed in USA. Judging the condition from the pictures, decision was made to send the money and "buy" it even before I came to USA. ✘-

-✘ Here are the photos I took myself the day we picked her up. Everything was as I expected, minimal rust and also almost everything was in "good" shape, good news for us I guess. Another few months of nightmares and sleepless nights begins, as I am hoping to see it on the road by the end of the winter. But anyways, take a look at the car. ✘-

-✘ Before shipping the Datsun to Japan we took her to Sleepy's workshop, to inspect her even more, the underneath of the car appeared to be clean, without holes and similar things, everything was in place, the suspension will require a lot work to make it functional again but thats not a problem as I will be changing a lot of parts, might go the same route as I did with X30 but I'm not sure, we will see. ✘-

-✘ At the docks, preparing to ship the car out to Japan. Approximately it took about two weeks to get her from USA to our garage. ✘-

-✘ With the car at our garage I could finally start working.. Phase 1 - Disassembly, welding and strengthening the chassis. Disassembly was the easiest part, when everything was taken apart I could finally start working on the rust damaged places, as it was done in few days, I proceeded on strengthening the chassis of the car and fabricating few small bits, reinforced stock welds, re-did entire car with seam welding and etc. Off to sandblasting and checking everything once again. Good thing is that Shao's workshop is not so far away from ours, so I can borrow some tools that I need from him, this time the sand blasting machine. Will be buying one in future for sure. ✘-

-✘ In the last post of mine I said that I sold my BMW F10.. You may ask why ? Well.. Because one car was not enough for me and my wife. So instead of having one, I sold it and got ourselves two other cars.. One for my wife and one for myself. Any ideas what kind of cars ? Oh, look, once again a Toyota and Nissan, back to Japanese cars lol. Some of you might already know the models from looking at the badges haha. ✘-

-✘ First lets talk about my wife's car.. Yeah, issa' a 2012 Toyota GT86 with manual tranny too. Basically bone stock, the previous owner was a woman too, so not abused or riced out. We got it for 11'thousand. I covered most of the price (8000V$) of the car, and my wife payed the rest herself as it is her car after all. I don't have any normal photos of it, but I'm sure you all know how the GT86 looks.. Here is a few photos from our trip to Tokyo, at the Daikoku as usual... ✘-

-✘ Now let's talk about my car.. What a surprise right, another 350Z.. I just can't live without those cars as I love the Z' series.. So when I had the chance I got myself the same car I sold two months ago, but this time a lot better. I got it for 17'thousand. It is Gray 2007 Nissan Fairlady Z Nismo, so it does have a significantly stronger and more powerful VQ engine than my previous one as this is Nismo one, basically a more powerful, more rigid, more track oriented and better handling car than Purple one ( I'm talking stock vs stock obviously ). It has few mods done to it such as HKS Recaro seats inside, LMGT4 wheels. Take a look at my 350Z V2 haha.. I am liking it even more in stock form than my old one in it's peak, I guess I am just excited. ✘-

-✘ Both cars in our garage, this picture reminds me of the days when me and Holeecrab did a collab, when we both were in early stages of our builds, oh boy.. The feels, time moves fast.. Anyways take a look. ✘-

-✘ So as always, I didn't stayed in one place and progressed a lot, a lot of work was done in September, major success once again, actually I am thinking of selling my Cressida as I am not using it as much as I thought I would, I guess I enjoyed building it more than driving, so if anyone interested PM me and we will discuss about it.. But don't you worry, I am planning of taking her for a spin soon, also got some footage from last touge run I did with Oscar, will post it soon. I will try to spend some time driving the X30 now, maybe I will change my mind.. But as you know the 240Z is on the way, and I will be in need for money so we will see.. Oh and by the way now I am able to fabricate any kinds of Roll Cages for you guys, I am certified and have the required tools for the job so Email me for your needs, I will try fabricating as my side job now, thats what I wanted to do for a long time.. So yeah, thats all, keep an eye open for further updates. Peace. ✘-

:iagree:

That 350Z was expensive but it was a fair price for a Nismo! Love the GT4's on it. Also it was kinda pointless to bring that 240Z in Japan lol. Still, it's cool to see a USDM car in Japan, that makes it stand out a bit. :)

The X30 looks great. Also if you give up on the 240z due to rust, or other issues, how much will you sell it for?

Do you have any spare Altezza parts left?

# Soju : That Z looks awesome! A big fan of LMGT4 wheels

Thank you Soju! I still remember the LMGT ones you had on your first Silvia, I am sure we both like all those LM series wheels.

Thank you a lot, I am trying my best to to make quality content. Keep an eye open for more updates, I post them whenever I have free time.. :confused2:

# KondzixsPL : Welcome back and it's nice to see a fellow 350z owner

I appreciate your support man. Always part of ZOCIETY, one big family.

Thanks for your support too man. Considering the fact that I bought my first bone stock HR for 13k.. This one was worth every cent I payed for it. Well, actually it wasn't pointless to bring 240Z to Japan as it was cheaper for me to get one in USA and ship it to Japan than get one here, as cheapest I was able to source was somewhere in the 7-10K range, also I got to travel the world for a bit, so win win situation.

Thanks man ! I am not going to sell unfinished car no matter what, oh and I am definitely not going to give up on this one for sure. And as for the rust, it is already gone, firstly the car was in Cali it's whole life, so no expose to rust or things like that, only few bits there and here, which was fixed in few days, you probably missed the part where I talked about it. :pathead:

I don't think so man, the only things I would probably find in my garage would be the - 2JZ-GE stock timing belt and oil filter which came from my ex Altezza, also the stock handbrake handle as I had hydraulic one installed. So if you need those things I can send them to you for free, as I am sure I won't be needing them.

I'll take them, as I have a swap I might do with a 2JZ and a broken car. Also I might get an IS200 (or another Altezza), and stuff a 2JZ in, as I have the stock engine mounts. Also, going of your records with rebuilding cars (X30, etc), the 240z should be great when done.

Alright man, the belt and oil filter are not that bad, you will definitely find use of them as I replaced them just for my own pleasure with "better" ones, I will be going to post office today and will send them out, you should get them in 5 or 7 days, I'll will pay for everything. And as for the S30' we will see, I have huge plans for it. Thanks once again. :)

SUNDAY

-✘ Little update guys. As today is Sunday I didn't do much, basically didn't spent any time at the garage, only went there to pick the leftover Altezza parts. Took a day off, I need to relax for a bit before another work week as tomorrow I will be having my "first" client for custom roll cage work, so we will see how it goes. Also took the Nismo for a spin today, went to the post office to send those parts for JFernando. The Z' at the parking lot near post office. ✘-

-✘ So yeah guys, thats it for today.. Also as you guys know me, it is possible for me to disappear for a week or so once again as I might find myself in the middle of nowhere being busy and doing "things" as always, oh well. Till later guys. ✘-

NISMO HOUSE

ʸᵉᵃʰ, ᵗʰᵉ ᵍᵃʳᵃᵍᵉ ᶦˢ ʳᵉᵗᵉˣᵗᵘʳᵉᵈ, ᵒᵒᵖˢ

-✘ Short update about those three days. Well, as I said, the first customer came for a visit on Monday. As you can see it is Altezza, and yes it is blue one.. Right in the feels once again, but lets move on. So long story short our customer is upcoming drifter which will be participating in main drift events around the Japan and we needed to make sure that he will be safe in case of crash. It took us around thirty work hours to build this cage and bash bars while working for almost 10 hours a day.. The results were far better than we expected, everyone including us were satisfied with the outcome. ✘-

-✘ Our Z's looking after Altezza in the shop haha.. Also the bash bars ready to be installed. ✘-

-✘ The fully done cage. It was hell of a job but in the end it was worth it. The driver will be safe under any circumstances. The whole chassis was strengthened significantly too as you can see that all the main points are connected, also you can see the number of pipes inside, it leaves no doubt about the quality of the roll-cage. ✘-

-✘ Also lets go to the main thing of this post.. Why NISMO house ? Well.. Because I own one, now Oscar owns one, and we are the "owners" of this place.. Basically we have plans of becoming some sort of Tuning Shop in the near future, so we will see. Also it is the first time we are showing you inside of our new place, it is very clean and neat, not your typical garage as most of you expect, we will keep it that way for sure, in my opinion it shows the quality of the things built here. Our Z's sitting in the corner of the shop. Take a look of our new place. ✘-

-✘ So yeah guys, that was the today's update. The things are going well and smooth, also I didn't disappeared as I thought I would, so thats a good thing lol. Tomorrow we will be having another customer, Zero is coming early in the morning for a custom roll cage for his S'chassis, while talking to him on the phone, he told me about his plans for that car, all I can say is that he has huge plans for it, so we are more than happy to help him. Will try to update you all soon because we are also looking for another car to buy, so keep an eye open.. Peace. ✘-
