Very true. In most cases.

Added 1 minute later:

New page, again.

Added 5 minutes later:

Just a note, in theory, I should actually be getting money per day, as it's repairing computers for money. I'll fix it later.

Actually, I'll just fix the RP salary with this small line, 'Doing a regular job and computers on the side pays out to around 300£V a week.'.

Added 1 hour 28 minutes later:

So after a small trip to deliver some parts in a friend's car, I arrived back to all my junk. A Golf, with all bits missing.

A rusty Civic. Obscured from view for some reason.

A pretty nice Miata, which runs. That's about it.

And the Altezza with a 13B, so standard fare.

I will Probably fix these. Just not exactly in full OEM.

Added 3 minutes later:

I found some wide steel wheels from a van in a junkyard. Paid 5.00£V for them, mostly due to it being of a van, and 5.00£V being the entry fee to the yard.

Thanks, Skip.

If I need anything, I'll be one post away.

Also why does your occupation say; 'breaking is200's'.

If (in RP) you have got a bare chassis around, would it be for sale?

Added 6 minutes later:

Got paid for some of the work with the parts I mentioned got delivered. 50£V, which seems a lot, but it was far. Also skip, in RP, couldn't I in theory, drive to Ireland, and go drifting?

My occupation says breaking is200s because in Ireland the IS200 is the most popular drift car and 100% of the time they're abused until broken so I decided to do that

That explains it. But do you have any chassis lying around (not specifically IS200)?

I've got some more news. Coming as soon as SLR:R cooperates.

Added 4 minutes later:

If you're wondering about where the rotted stuff around the fenders has gone, it was just cleaned off, as it was on the fenders, not the fenders rotting.

Added 57 minutes later:

I've earned a bit to get a further 100£V. By doing upgrades on multiple peoples computers.

Added 11 minutes later:

I've bought some stuff within the 155.01£V budget. Another car (I might have a problem), and some parts for the Golf. Let's start with the purchase of another car.

I've got an E46 now. Beat to pieces by the previous owner, who used it in a budget challenge (in IRL apparently) and ruined it. It came in at (in IRL, 77.00 currently, at *LINK* 100.00£V. It is unregistered, beat and covered in horrible paint, but runs.

The parts are to be listed soon.

Added 6 minutes later:

The one part(s), as it came in delivery, was an engine for the Golf. From a Golf (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Volkswagen-Golf-Engine-1-9TDI-Diesel-AHF-/152712551743?hash=item238e609d3f:g:IzIAAOSw7L1ZxBeN), at £34.00 when I post this), a diesel to be specific, and working. It was among the cheapest available, contending against stuff like beaten up Rover V8s, but it won; because, cheapest. At 45£V, it's a okay; no engine mounts, but the ECU is there.

Accidents. But I'll be doing stuff with both Golfs, so it's fine. Also on that note, are you going to get the IS300, that I suggested?

Added 4 minutes later:

Found a gauge cluster for 9.00£V. I think the Turquoise Golf might finally run.

Probably not since I already have 3 cars on that forum (200sx S13 hatch[main project], Renault Laguna I [daily] and a modified and swapped Polonez Atu - {minus}[bought it 2 days ago])and I'd have to pay for shipping and to register a RHD import is like 5x the amount that a LHD car from the country costs and such... so yeah probably not

Also, have I got everything to run the Golf. I think so.

Also the Golf you bought me, will be coming here soon I expect. Thanks for it.

From what I've been told, the driver is currently near the German-Netherlands border and he'll be taking a break on the border so the VW should be delievered to you in the early evening of tommorow. Also, no problem.

So. We arrived back in the garage in the S13 (still my friend's, not mine).

Unfortunately the pictures of the welding mounts together and swap got lost, but, here's how it was, when it was finished. Also the other engine was rusty and nasty, but will sit as a spare part, as it seems it could work.

Here it is next to the Civic, as now it can run, using the rusty parts left from the original drive train, and some sketchy welds.

All it really needs now is some wheels and everything else a golf usually has.

Here it is, next to the Altezza, and they both sport weird swaps, and are both missing parts. But I can definitely say the Altezza is better off.

Anyway if you've been watching posts, you'll see another VW enters my domain soon, with a 136HP, DOHC 16 Valve engine. Can you figure out what it is?

Fixed.

Added 49 seconds later:

That means an incoming RP update, featuring my new E46 and the mystery car (as far as how much others know).

Added 44 minutes later:

Golf has arrived. On some steel wheels. Also the E46 is coming, it's already here, I just mean that I'm revealing it.

There's the two of them. Two questionable vehicles sitting in the garage parking lot.

Admittedly, there's also a Miata and the other Golf as you can see.

So, lets start with the Golf, the second one. It's a GTI, with a 16 valve dual overhead camshaft, with a turbocharger to my surprise. It makes somewhere around 136HP. By the way, I removed the tint on the lights, or at least most of it.

Here's its interior opening up. It's in fairly good condition. Okay, excellent condition.

Here's the second one, featuring only the best hand done wrap job, which was used in said budget challenge. It's not holding up well, as you can see by the peeling revealing the black underneath.

Body work is also in fairly good condition too.

Two pieces of junk sitting next to each other. It's not so bad on the E46 actually.

There's the three of them. Now anyone up for voting on what to do with an E46, that's beat up, inside and out, but runs smooth with a dodgy gearbox?

Which one?

The Turquoise one technically runs, with no registration.

But the White one runs. But has a lot of documents before it's allowed on public roads.
