Ebisu Weekend

So this was the best weekend in my life because I have gone to Fukushima to go to one of the most famous tracks Ebisu Minami
It was an open day / the final days of Ebisu Matsuri event It was a long drive (7h aaaaaaaaaa) from Osaka to Fukushima about 780KM

It was one of the most amazing weekend in my life the cars ,the clutches, aero and tyres getting shredded just amazing

Just a big s/o to Abi (check out his rp) for grabbing my camera and got almost ran over just to take a pic of my car. We also took a tandem pic, but since the photographer was more interested in shooting, other teams instead of the noobs a guy was really friendly and took a pic with is android phone
Check the out the pics:

In the end the weekend was amazing, I got to improve my skills now with my boosted SR I have learned how to tandem without fucking up my car. Speaking in fucking up the car Abi fucked up his FA20 thank god I was there to help him and not just only Abi's car had problems I have broken my clutch and my 8 tyres in 12 laps

One thing I have realized is that my car needs dome serious styling mods seeing all the amazing cars made me a Lil bit sad for not having the flashiest car
But that will be changed soon

New financial mistake

Yep, it's that time where I get a new money pit.
So today while I was working my boss came and told me that he had a friend of him was selling his old drift car and since my boss said if I want to see it he would give me the rest of the day off.
Soon as I arrived in Yokohama we went to see the car which was sitting in the docks It was a 88'Toyota Corolla AE86 Levin Zenki

This car used to be a street car back in the 90'in 2001 it started to be a delay so the owner sold the 20V Black Top 4AGE and swapped it for a normal 16V Blue Top 4AGE 4 years later the car was stopped in a small shed here at the docks and now in 2017 the owner said it was time to sell his cars and give the money to his grandson

So the car as the way I bought it, it's pretty stock the only mods are some really O.G Tein Coilovers, Wantanabe F8 wheels, and some new tires since the guy decided to give it a clean up

Of course the car has also some problems it has a blown head gasket, the fluids have been sitting in the car and it needs new bushings because the old ones are dust basically

The car has 45k on the engine and I have paid 3250V$ for it

# tyretear : ^thats a steal

I am gonna be honest, even I think it was way too cheap I started to work on it and I already have some issues

# holeecrab : yoo that looks sick

Don't worry in a few weeks it will look like shit

# Sleepin mOnkey : the car look as a good base

I also thought, yes but I am finding some more problems that the ones the old owner told me

# Zero : Well grey is a recurring theme for you..

Sort of but tbh grey is not my favourite color tho and also the 86 is more like a purple

Money Pits

So it has been a long time since the last time I have been here.
After the Ebisu weekend my 180 has been stopped in the shop waiting for a new clutch and I was super busy with work and getting the 86 ready to run again.

But in the meanwhile I decided that was time for me to freshen up my 180 I started by stripping the whole car and getting it ready to send it to the same guy that painted Abi's car of course I wasn't going to keep the body stock so I have ordered some rear fenders that basically do the same as rolled fenders but without fucking up my nice kouki body and at the front a friend of mine who also has a 180 sold me his rolled front fenders since he is now running on a D-Max Type 3 Kit I got the fenders for just 300V$

Now the 86 in case you missed the post were I bought the 86 it was basically a car that was stopped for almost 4 years and I bought it a few weeks ago and since for now I wanted to use it has a daily I decide to give a nice revision to the 4AGE I changed all the fluids, cleaned the fuel tank and fuel lines and replaced the head gasket and when I turned the key the engine started in a few seconds then I turned the key again and the car I was like running on 2 cylinders

Conclusion the engine is dead, (maybe that is why it was so cheap)

4AGE Rebuild pt.1

With the 180 on it's way to tokyo to be painted it has time for me to start working on the AE86

If you remember my 4AGE was destroyed so I needed a new engine most of you told me to turbo it or get a jz swap, but since this car is going to be (I hate using this term) my Daily drifter I needed something was cheaper to maintain and didn't ruin the 86 amazing balance.
Everyone right now are doing 20V 4AGE Swap but I tried to went a step ahead and get a BEAMS 3SGE but how funny here in Osaka they are rare af and I needed something fast because I am done of going to work by bus
Since my 4AGE only the bottom was fucked I decide that would be cheaper and faster to rebuild it so I went to a local junkyard and got the bottom of a 4AGE from a Corolla E90 bought it for just 250V$.
Of course I wanted the car to be reliable so I got from UP Garage a set of TODA Pistons and an HKS Crankshaft for 180V$
