Hi there people!
Im David. Currently residing in the wonderful country of sliding volvos and snus; Sweden. I've been into drifting ever since I saw it and with me, now having a license, I gathered some money to go pick up my first car. I looked at countless different volvos, 240s, 740s, 940s and even an amazon at one point. And dont get me wrong, as much as I liked all those cars, I wanted something different. So with that I started looking at other cars. My only requirements were for it to be RWD and in decent condition so I had a farely big selection. At first I looked at old mercedes but it wasnt for me. Something japanese would be nice but it was out of my budget at the time. Then one day as I browsed the tradingsites I found this. 1992 BMW 320i 267403 kilometres 15' Style 5's all around No known flaws as of yet So here we have it. It will have to be my daily for now until I can get another parkingspace for another car. I've already went ahead and bought some parts for it such as white front blinkers and a shadowline grill. Hopefully these things come in the mail sometime next week. I'm gonna order some coilovers for it aswell but I need to decide on which once first! It's currently at my buddies garage, as seen in the pictures, to have a full checkup before it sent of to MOT! This post was edited by 2jzCookie (2016-03-30 22:01, ago) |

So I've been working away on the bimmer the last couple days. Done a service to it, replaced the worn out bushings with polyurethane ones, and changed the oil in the gearbox and diff.
Who knows when that was last done. I've got some other goodies for it aswell. Mainly rims and tires and a set of TRM coilovers from a local guy that was parting out his e36. After a while of trying to figure out what settings I wanted my coils to be I came up with a pretty decent ride height and good springrates. 570 lb/in for the front and 780 lb/in for the rear. Rims are SSR meshes in 16x10 wrapped in some 215/25/16s all around. The rims are in great condition and the tires aswell. The guy bought them brand new and only drove on them for 35 kilometers. So kinda stoked about that! (yes I know its four lugs I just realised) I'd like to get some stickers made for it. For example a Victorious Dipshits banner for the windshield. HELP ANYONE? That would look dope. As far as other plans I've got plenty of them so more is on the way! |

# FamousMan : Really like the SSRS man, very nice touch. I've always wanted an M3. Glad you liked em! I wanted some mesh rims for it so when these came up I had to have them. Yeah stock engine for now. Got some plans when it comes to the engine. Eventually id like to either turbo it or swap in a m60 v8 in it. But only time will tell how that goes. For now ill probably change injectors and some other good stuff like that! |

Drifts were made... And many of them!
So yeah it goes sideways haha. Once I get some steeringmods it will be golden but It does well now! Cant go wrong with some of that! So I was out for a while sliding around. I brought a pair of steelies I borrowed of my buddies car since I wanted some thread left on the SSR's. Came across a few guys that were out aswell drifting. Sadly I couldnt snag a picture of them but they had a few bimmers, one 240(sx) and a volvo 945 wagon. If I see them again im gonna be quick to take some pics. Anyway I ended up riding with those guys for a while until we went different ways. I took this opportunity to stop and swap the SSR's for the steelies. Oops... sry bout that bumper. Expect more carnage to come in the future! I had some tools with me so the bumper was off in no time and put in the trunk Went home after this. I had work in the morning and was farely far away from home and sleep was definately needed. All in all a good night! |

So I've been away for a while. Work caught up to me and had to spend my time on other stuff than the bimmer. So I've just been dailying it around for a while with no modifications done since last time. I did however fix my rear bumper. As u can see from my last post I did an oops and sort of broke it. Long story short, I broke the mounts for it and had to resort to zipties to hold it on. So I got tired of this and got some new mounts made with some help from a few buddies. All in all it turned out good!
Now, ive been wanting more power since I got the bimmer. Dont get me wrong, the M50 gets the job done rather decent but id like to have some more torque. This can obviously be done by digging in to the engine and replacing bits and pieces here and there but Im sure that would have a price im not willing to pay at the moment. Soooo..... Instead I started looking for alternative engines for it. A 2j or a RB would be sick but its out of my budget. So instead I looked at old E34s with the M60 engine. I said I wanted more torque and with it being a V8 I would sure have some of that. So the next day at work I found my self infront of the computer, looking for anything interesting. And long story short(u bored yet?) I found something! This is what I got! A prestine condition 1993 BMW 540i M-sport for the price of V$3550. Its not complete allthough its running and the engine sounds healthy. I will strip it before it goes in the e36 just to make sure and replace what needs to be replaced. Some specs - 1993 BMW 540i M-sport - Unknown Miles - Rustfree Plans with it - Take the M60B40 - Take all the useful bits( what I can use for the e36) - Part it out or sell as it is Its currently sitting at the shop doing no good but I should have some free time this weekend so the process of pulling the engine starts there. Anyway i'll throw in the rest of the pictures and leave it here! Heart of the beast below

Nice E36. Well nice idea whit the V8 swap, but at your place I would rather go for the Straight 6 M engine that was in the M3 E36 $ E46 but however excited to see the finished product. I might drop by whit my HCR32 to check out the power output of your E36 since I live in Germany

Since u last heard from me a few things have happened. I finished the M60 swap in the e36 and drove that thing around for a while. Took it street drifting once or twice with some buddies. Quickly got bored of it though so I ended up selling it a few months ago. As far as the e34 goes, it went to klucifers. I will be back in the RWD game soon enough tho! Now for the recent purchase! Well, I went and bought a VW golf mk2. Got it for 600V$. The guy I bought it from said it had been neglected in his backyard for over 10 years with the occasional start up here and there. It seems to have been in a collision at some point in its life because some of the panels dont line up correctly. For example, the hood and right door wont close properly and the front right quarterpanel is sagging. This is all things im gonna have to take a look at once its at the garage. It has tons of potential in my eyes tho! As far as bodywork goes its farely good. It has dents here and there but rust wise its almost spotless. Some rust has been repaired since there is bodyfiller in quite a few areas. Still has some rust around the rear hatch and the sunroof which I will take a closer look at. Both of them seem to leak which might explain some of the mold in the boot. I have yet to pull the carpet out to inspect the floor. Lets not hope for nasty suprises there! It has the 1,3 l CL engine in it and according to the tach it has done just over 340k kilometers. It still starts and runs good other than a failed alternator. I will most likely have it out pretty soon since im putting something with a bit more power in it to truly make it live up to its potential! Its currently at my garage waiting to be picked apart. I plan on stripping it down to look for further rust and stuff that needs replacing. I may or may not pick up a parts car for it if its needed! I will be back with more updates when I've looked more into it! |

# Boostio : Ahh welcome back! That Golf looks pretty nice <3 Thanks bud! Very much appreciated! <3 Exciting stuff going on!
I've been blasting away on some bodywork on the golf the last few days. I pretty much stripped out all the interior, looked over the floor of the car. Looks suprisingly good minus some rust in some of the seams which is mostly taken cared off. I will have more updates on that in a few hours! Until then, check this out! A buddy of mine came over to help me work on the car and suprised me with these beauties! They are 15x8 Zender Sport's wrapped with some half decent rubber. He said we should mock them up on the car to see how they look and to me they look great! He needs them back for his own car but atleast this gave me understanding of potential wheels to run but most of all it got me motivated as hell to get this thing done and out on the streets of Europe! Expect an update in a few hours with even more excting news! |

Bodywork and other fun stuff!
So, alot of sanding has been done in the last few days since I got the car. As soon as it was in the garage I cracked on with the bodywork. I got most of the rust taken cared off however there is still some left at the common areas where these like to rust such as the bottoms of the doors etc. I still need to go in at some places and weld in new metal since there was some holes aswell. Nothing major though so that's nice. I lucked out with the boot when it came to rust! I was expecting worse since water has been leaking in through the bootseal and such. Im gonna be honest with you and say I expected the worst when I took out the carpet. However, I was greated with this instead! Now, there is some rust starting to develop in the passenger footwell that will go through at any moment aswell as some at the seatmounts but other than its farely clean in there! Im obviously super stoked about the car however the stock CL interior just wont cut it for me. So I started looking into my options. I knew I wanted something that would brighten up the car. Something that looked luxurious to me. With that in mind I came across this! I found a guy on ebay, located in United States, that was selling a complete interior for my car. This included everything I needed. Doorcards, seats, dash, centerconsole, headliner... You name it. From my understanding this brown and beige combination interior only came in the US versions of the MK2s (dont roast me if im wrong plz ) and is getting hard to find these days so I quickly got in contact with the guy and we agreed that 1200V$ was fair. Add another 600V$ for the shipping costs aswell. It should be here in about 5-10 business days! I think im gonna start tackling the suspension and the more mechanical bits of the car while I wait for the interior to arrive. Might look into converting the rear brakes to disc brakes because I hate drum brakes with a passion. While its not gonna be a performance oriented car I would like to at the very least service them with new brake pads and cylinders. A set off coilovers would be nice aswell I think im gonna end up servicing the engine with new oil, timing belt and tensioner. Also sort out a new alternator for it or try to get this one working. After that im probably gonna try to sell the engine to fund the remaining bits I need! Until next time! |

Time For Scrapes & Lows!
Well, since u last heard from me I´ve been hard at work. I've replaced various bushings throughout the car. I picked up the Superpro Front & Rear Suspension Bushing Kit for 215V$ and just went to town with it. It will hopefully stiffen up the car some even though I dont plan on racing it on any tracks. Not gonna lie, the ones in the rear axle definately put up a fight. The other ones went in farely easy. Now to the exciting stuff! I've been looking for wheels ever since I got the car and finally made a purchase. Now, I'm gonna end up having multiple different sets of rims but for starter rims I reckon these will look awesome. They definately burnt a hole in my pocket with the tyres mounted but they fit the theme im going for here. And since I was gonna have to get coilovers anyhow I went ahead and got a set of Ta Technix Coilovers aswell. Yes they are among the cheapest ones out there but eventually we might get better ones. It all comes down to how these feel once im driving. So, here is some pictures of how its sitting right now! The rims are SSR mk1's. They are 15x7.5 in the front and 15x8.5 in the rear. They look sick in my opinion. Im gonna play around with some camber settings to make them fit exactly how I want to because the rear is rubbing the inner fenders. Fronts seem good though. Will figure all this out once I take a test drive. My interior should show up any day now aswell. Cant wait to put it in to see how it looks. I have so much in store for this car and I cant wait to get her out and scrape all over! Til next time! |

Zenders looked way better on your Mk2 but if you're going to keep it slammed the SSR's look nice too. When you'll install the interior and everything else the car will be a little lower so be careful not to scrape.

Thanks Guys!
She's Straight!
SO, if u can remember when I picked up the car it had some panel gap. Worst places were the hood and passenger door. Turned out to be easy fixes for both of them. The hood was a bit bent up from what I guess would be a collision. But after some work with a wooden block and a big ol' hammer it was almost perfect. I did however use some bodyfiller to fill in the imperfections afterwards. As for the door, it was the bottom hinge that had alot of play in it. This seems to be common on MK2's. But I bought a new pin and half hinge from Ebay which when installed fixed my problems. In other news I received the interior last week. Its been sitting in the box ever since but I will get to it this weekend. Cant wait to see how it looks! :)) |

Interior is in!
In my last update I mentioned that my interior had arrived and now it's finally test fitted in the car. It's coming back out since the inside of the car is getting painted aswell but atleast I know what to look forwards to now. I'm so stoked on how it looks. It's really clean aswell. No tears in the carpet or any major stains. Bit dusty at the most. I also picked up some US spec small bumpers. Both front and rear for 675V$ shipped and at my shop. Got them on the car aswell and they look awesome! I specifically wanted the bumpers with the double chrome line going across. I dont know, they just look best to me. I will need to refurbish these ones since they are farely faded but I dont mind. Gives me something to do while the rest of the car is getting painted. I removed the engine last weekend aswell. Looks like I may have a buyer for it already. I wont use it since im going down the 16 valve route so any extra money is nice. And yes, the engine bay is also getting painted . Im leaning towards gun metal grey atm. I think that would look good with the exterior colour once its painted. |
